The Headmaster is in charge of the Shadow Academy and the staff within it. Any questions about the information in this article should be directed to the current HM, Rhylance.
Exams
- Copying and pasting directly from the course notes for questions on the exams are discouraged. In many cases, the course graders will not give you full marks - or might not give you credit at all - if you copy and paste directly. With that said, it is completely permissable to have the course notes open while you take your exam, to use as a reference.
- All exams should be your own work. Sharing answers with other members is forbidden. Students caught of copying/plagiarizing will be subject to penalties as proscribed by the Headmaster working in conjunction with the Justicar.
- You may retake exams if you are not satisfied with the score until you get 100%, and you only have to retake the questions that you didn't receive full credit for previously.
Course Creation
- Any ideas for new courses should be first brought to the attention of the Headmaster, who will assess its viability based on the current needs of the Shadow Academy and how well the potential new course would meet them.
Course Upkeep
- Course Professors and Docents are expected to regularly audit their course(s) for inaccuracies or outdated information, and pass this information on to the Headmaster and his Praetor. This is in addition to the full audit of the Shadow Academy that the Headmaster and his staff regularly run.
- Any members that find issues with a course or with a member of the Shadow Academy staff should report those issues to the Headmaster using this Google Form so that they are easily tracked and corrected. You'll have our thanks in addition to other rewards, depending on the situation.
Course Grading
- In order to be eligible to grade a course, a potential Professor or Docent must have already passed the course.
- The expectation is that all courses will be graded within 24 hours by the course's Professor or Docent. If courses have not been graded by this point, the HM and his staff will grade them (with the exception of certain specialized courses such as the ACC qualification exam, Test of Wisdom, CoJ courses, etc.). Graders that repeatedly fail to mark their exams within the 24 hour period may be removed at the discretion of the HM.
