Melfeckt is a former Jedi Knight, former Sith Acolyte, and, much like The Revan, strives to live life in the balance between the Light and Dark sides of the Force.

Character History

Early Life

Melfeckt wasn't always known by that name. Like most Dark Jedi, he had a life before he fell to the Dark Side. If you were to ask him now where he was from, who his parents were, he wouldn't be able to tell you. However, if you access the Imperial Records, you will discover that his name is Korvec Rantoth, and is from Dantooine.

Jedi Training

When he was young, he was brought before the Jedi Council on Coruscant, and began his training to become a Jedi. He was a quick study, and learned everything that his masters put before him. For many years, he continued this way of life, from his young childhood, to mid adolescence. After demonstrating time and time again of his excellent skills, the Council decided to make him a Jedi Knight. He was given permission to visit his family, which is a rarity, before he was inducted. During his visit, he traveled to the ruins of the Jedi Enclave, and basked in the Light Side energy that was eminating from the ruins.

The Fall

While he was at the ruins, his family was attacked by Sith Assassins, as well as rogue Stormtroopers, who felt that it was their personal mission to exact revenge for the Empire on remnants of the Rebellion. His entire family was killed. Upon returning home, Korvec saw the Assassins and Troopers, and heard the call of the Dark Side. He killed all of the Stormtroopers and most of the Assassins, but he was soon overpowered. When the Assassins went to kill him, their leader, a Sith Mistress by the name of Veressis, told them not to, as she sensed much potential in him.

He was tortured and brain washed, and began to learn the Dark Arts of the Force. Over time, he grew stronger, and more adept, as he had in the past. He went on many missions with his new Mistress, each time proving his worth, and loyalty to her. After some time, he was sent on a solo mission, which objective was known only to his Mistress. Upon arriving on the planet Raxus Prime, Melfeckt encountered his old Jedi Master. Upon seeing him, his Master tried to turn him back to the light, but Melfeckt's mind was already too deep in the Dark Side. They fought fiercely, all the while, his old Master kept trying to convince Korvec to return to the Light. Melfeckt, sick of his lies, killed his old master, and threw his body into one of the many rivers of hyperdrive fuel.

Joining the Brotherhood

Upon his return, Melfeckt was troubled, and so his Master traveled with him to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, for another special assignment. Together, they were able to dissolve the remaining Light Side energy, further empowering both his Master and himself. After this event, his Master knew that there was no more she could teach him, and sent him to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. While there, he befriended many people, and passed the entry exam, Test of Lore, becoming an Initiate. He was then accepted into the House Dorimad Sol in the Clan Scholae Palatinae. For the next month and a half, Melfeckt progressed quickly to the rank of Protector, growing more powerful and knowledgeable each time he gained a new rank. He was recognized many times for his knowledge and talent, passing exam after exam, receiving crescents, and having Robin Hawk take him on as her Apprentice.

Recent History

Between 33 ABY and 38 ABY, Melfeckt disappeared without a trace. During that time, his Mistress had been assassinated, and many people in the Brotherhood had risen to, and fallen from, power. He had gone in search of any remnants of Revan's teachings. His search took him from Rakata Prime to Yavin 4 to Manaan, trying to retrace most of Revan's steps.

While meditating en route to Tatooine, Melfeckt received a message on his old communicator. It was Xen'Mordin Vismorsus, trying to establish contact with the now Rogue member of the Brotherhood. Unsure how to proceed, Melfeckt tentatively accepted, and is currently working on his promotion to become a Knight, under the supervision of the Consul of Scholae Palatinae.
