|
| |
|
| Born, as most are, to a loving and rich mother and father Ophelia grew up content and happy. The young girl, even at an early age, was considered a beauty and this beauty only developed as she grew in years. As her beauty developed as did her ego and her vanity, men would buy her trinkets and young suitors would line the streets hoping to catch her attention and take her hand in marriage, making an honest woman and kept woman off her. The problem was her vanity was so great it kept her from any of them, her own thoughts advising her none of them were worth her time or effort. | | Born, as most are, Ophelia made her way into the world upon Mandalore and was raised as most children are with love, affection and a blaster in her hand. Her father was a warrior who served within the Mandalorian army during the time of the Clone wars. Her mother was herself trained in the art of war but had retired a year or so before Ophelia’s birth in order to ready herself and husband for the raising of her family and the next generation of Mandalorians. |
|
| |
|
| Unbeknownst to her, or her family, Ophelia was force sensitive and a prime candidate for the Empires training regimes which would of taken her from her family and turned her into a member of the Emperor’s Dark Force users. However, more by luck than anything, her family owned a Galactic Circus which travelled from planet to planet putting on great shows for the entertainment of the crowds. Ophelia herself was an animal trainer and acrobat and found delight basking in the praise of her adoring fans as well as training and looking after the animals she considered a second family and the only ones who understood her, or at least in her head she believed this to be the case. Due to her family's nomadic existence she managed to always stay one step ahead of Imperial recruiters who had no idea who she was. | | Unbeknownst to her mother, however, her Father had been working with the rebel Mandalorian group the Death watch and was secretly feeding them back information that allowed Death watch to hit strategic targets against the True Mandalorians and those they deemed enemies. When Ophelia was in her sixth year her father’s treachery was discovered and a domestic assault took place resulting in the death of her mother and her being taken away by her father to the folds of the Death Watch and the upbringing that brought with it. She hated her father for what he had done for many years but after time, she allowed that hatred to meet with the doctrines of the Death Watch and allowed herself to grow into a troubled and fucked up young adult. |

|
| === Jedi Praxeum Era ===
| | By her eighteen birthday and with the blessing of her Clan she was permitted to temporarily leave them to join the Imperial Academy where she would put her skills to the test and earn her place in the galaxy during the Galactic civil war and forge herself in the fires of combat. |
|
| |
|
| In 14 ABY Ophelia was discovered and approached by a member of the New Jedi Order, who was on their own mission from the Yavin 4 Jedi Praxeum. After much persuasion and battering down of defenses Ophelia agreed to leave her family’s safety and security, as well as money, and join the Jedi at the Praxeum and begin her training.
| | === Imperial Service === |
|
| |
|
| The training didn’t go as smoothly as she or her instructors wished. he natural acrobatic ability has her ace the tests that required her physically challenged, and she was a rather intelligent woman so she was able to keep up with her Lore research, the problem came when she was challenged about her immense vanity. She complained constantly about other students being given special privileges, how she was better than him or her and how she was so much deserving of more. The instructors attempted to keep their patience with her but more often than not they would send her away from them or to meditate just to get a five minute break before attempting to tackle her again.
| | During her time in the Imperials, her skills were noted and she was sub-sequentially moved to train as a member of the Imperial Security Bureau. Her loyalty to the cause, ruthlessness in her pursuits and ability to get shit done set her up as a prime candidate and she left the academy as a proud member of ISB. During her service to the Empire, she met an old war veteran by the name of Etah D’Tana and formed a bond with him learning as much as she could from him whilst also carrying out her duties to the Empire and protecting from internal threats alongside members of the Storm Corps. She once had the honour and privilege of working alongside the 501st and seeing Darth Vader in person as he walked past, but there was something about him that set her on edge that made her hunger be more than she was. She knew she would never rise to the level of power he held due to his mastery of the Force but she also knew she had other talents which she would use to set her apart and she would often put in requests to take part in missions to hunt down and exterminate any mention of found Jedi, however, each request was denied and she was assigned to other tasks. |
|
| |
|
| Despite their reservations Ophelia proved herself ready and even managed to control her outbursts, instead she kept most of it bottled up and to herself, which would become her downfall later. She was sent out on missions under her instructor and performed admirably well. By the time she went rogue she had proven track record of apprehending criminals, and at one time managed to hold her own against a fallen jedi until her instructor turned up and helped her subdue the rogue. The main issue by this time the Jedi Praxeum had with her was her tendency to exert too much force and it reached a logger head when she slew a Rogue Jedi on Corellia simply because she could. When asked why she hadn’t subdued him like the ones in the past her answer was so full of self-righteousness she was banned from going on further missions until she had meditated upon and come to understand what she had done wrong.
| | This only made her hunger grow and she worked harder than ever to achieve more and more. As the years passed she found herself elevated in ranks and soon found herself at the rank of Major and in command of a small team though again even with her new position she was still denied missions that allowed her to take part in Jedi hunts. Her only solace was the training Etah passed onto her which allowed her to grow in her martial skills and her brutality became near legendary to all those that served under her that by the time she was moved onto a new station she became known as the Ice Queen. |
|
| |
|
| She tried and tried yet saw nothing in her methods that could be constituted as wrong, in fact the more she thought on it the more she began to realise how weak her instructors were. After all they saw everything covered in layers of rainbows and fluffyness and this was not the kind of person she wanted to be. In truth she knew she deserved better, no was deserving of better. She made up her mind and approached her trainers, advising them she fully understood what she had done wrong and wished to make up for her mistakes by partaking in a humanitarian cause where she could do some good and come to better understand what it meant to hold her hand and think with her head and heart in difficult situations. Her trainers agreed and so it was she was sent to the outer rim alongside her master to provide aid and support, however on the way they stopped upon Nar Shaddaa to undertake some side work, and whilst there she simply vanished into the underworld. Losing her master in the vast network of passages and underworld scum, she had achieved what she wished and had effectively gone rogue. | | She soon found herself more and more isolated from her colleagues and whispers and rumours would follow her. More often than not she found herself in the training ranges where one day she accidentally interrupted a training drill of new Flame troopers curious she approached and requested permission to use one of the flamethrowers at hand. The drill instructor agreed straight away more for fear of her wrath than anything else and she soon found herself caressing the loving warmth of the flamer as streams of fire lapped away in front of her. Satisfied but not forgetting she left the training area but would return several more times to play with her new toys. |

|
| === One Sith Era ===
| | In 4ABY, disillusioned with the Empire after its defeat at the hands of the rebellion at Yavin, she was approached by Etah and offered a place amongst his new group calling themselves the Werewolves. A curious name to her as she had never heard of such creatures but fed up of getting nowhere and the current stagnation and the beginning of the Imperial Forces being scattered she readily agreed and within hours had slipped away from Coruscant. |
|
| |
|
| Nothing much was heard about Ophelia after this, she cropped up now and then as she took jobs for crime syndicates or ran into Jedi from her past but she always managed to evade any pursuit they gave. Though she slew underworld scum indiscriminately she would not raise her saber to an innocent, and especially not towards one of the Jedi, even though they were fools. However something changed as the years passed and the next time Ophelia reared her head was in the year 37 ABY as a One Sith Squad Leader.
| | === Imperial Werewolves Era === |
|
| |
|
| She partook in operations in direct opposition to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, she was present at Rhelg, Bhargebba, Kalsunor and finally Ziost where she directly engaged with members of the Dark Brotherhood and members of House Plagueis and Clan Arcona. She was a terror on the Battlefield, wading into combat without regards to who or what was around her. Lightsaber carving through opponents like a butcher hacking at meat, her whip arcing out from her and catching the unlucky few leaving them easy prey to her attacks or suffering as their air circulation was cut and they were strangled to death.
| | To Be written. |
|
| |
|
| Her final moment came, or so she thought, when she managed to pick a fight with a Arkanian Krath Sorcerer by the name of Deimos d'Tana. During the combat in his field lab the Arkanian managed to knock her to the ground and as she fell she brought a large tray of chemicals down with her which covered the left side of her body and began to eat away at what it came into contact with. In agony and driven berserk by the pain Ophelia pounced upon one of the Arkanian’s underlings, the Arkanian himself had fled, and proceeded to smash his head in with the hilt of her saber, crushing his skull into a bloody pulp. She fled the scene as her flesh was eaten away and managed to control the agony and pain long enough for her to get far enough away that she lost any pursuers and collapsed to the ground, writhing like a grotesque marionette.
| | === Death Watch Era === |
|
| |
|
| Help came in the form of the most unlikely candidate. A Plagueis patrol came upon her, noticing the marks of the One Sith and her dire situation they moved to remove her from the picture completely however seeing she was still alive the patrol leader decided to have her disgracefully dragged back to their camp and kept alive long enough to drag as much information from her as possible. Whilst in the camp a medicare examined her condition and explained that the chemicals had wasted most of her left side, including her leg, arm, side of the face. The only way she would be of any use after the interrogation was if they needed a Slave to feel pity upon. The raucous laughter was broken as another figure entered the room Ophelia was kept in, by the way silence swept across the gathered figures Ophelia could only assume the figure was someone important. He asked her questions to which she answered, after all she wasn't getting out of this alive. She explained what had happened to her and how her only regret was she would never have the pleasure of ending the life of the Arkanian who had disfigured her and removed her beauty.
| | After the disbanding of the Werewolves, she went home, or as close as home as she could get and returned to her clan and the embrace of the Death Watch. Not exactly welcomed with open arms she soon learned of her father’s death and that given he was not there to vouch for her she was to earn her place within them again. Content to do just that she began partaking in raiding missions where she was given a simple blaster and limited armour to proof she had what it took to adhere to the way of the Mandalorians and hadn’t been too corrupted by the Empires weakness. Within a year, she had made a name for herself again and was finally allowed to bear full arms. Though the Death Watch was in major decline they still were hated by those claiming to be True Mandalorians and more often than not they would find themselves operating less like the Death Watch once was and more like underworld thugs taking jobs for the highest paying clients something which began to Irk and annoy Ophelia as she had returned to their fold to be a warrior, not someone’s patsy and grunt. |
|
| |
|
| === Clan Plagueis Era ===
| | Issues arose when annoyed at being underpaid Ophelia grabbed a blaster rifle from one of the client’s guards and beat him to death with it forcing her comrades to gun down the client and his remaining guards less Ophelia be slain. She was reprimanded and informed that any further issues would result in her expulsion and her name dishonoured for all time to come. Pissed off but not stupid Ophelia relented and apologised but not before realising there was nothing left of what she once stood for and she had truly become just another underworld thug for hire. |
| | |
| | Her big break came in 35 ABY where she received a mysterious job that required her skills and yet had not come from any known associates. Curious she set out on her own to discover what was needed and soon found herself embroiled in a plot which tested every part of her metal, being and self-preservation. She had found herself thrust into the machinations of the Sith and not just any Sith but those of Clan Tarentum, the Clan of Death. |
|
| |
|
| Somehow she awoke days later, floating in a Bacta tank. She panicked and assumed she had died and this was some form of watery punishment in the next life but she was quickly reassured by the medical droid that she was safe. After being removed from the tank and seeing her heavily disfigured form she was worked on by surgeons who replaced the damage stumps with cybernetic replacements, her eye was replaced and wires and circuits weaved up and across the left side of her face as they did their best to provide her with what she needed. When they were done she was able to see herself and how she hated. A monster, her beauty gone replaced by wires and parts. In her anger she denied them when they advised they needed to paint on the synthflesh and instead advised she would keep them uncovered as a reminder of her weakness, they could do nothing but agree.
| | === Clan Tarentum Era === |
|
| |
|
| She awoke again in the bacta tank, and this time she was introduced to the reason she was alive. The one they called the Dread Lord approached her and explained he had spared her pitiful existence only if she swore to serve him and his House. She had next to no choice and agreed, swearing fealty to the Dread Lord and House Plagueis. She was allowed to recover before being assigned to the House Plagueis armed forces, where she proved herself time and time again by undertaking missions, capturing slaves and even taking the time to train those less experienced that her in the ways of the Dark Side. She however developed a reputation as a cold hearted monster. Troops would watch in horror as she would manoeuvre them and slaves in front of her to absorb incoming fire. How she would offhandedly slay those that questioned her. She developed a few psychological problems due to the trauma she had undergone, the need to consume flesh was one of these. Believing she was less than human she undertook grizzly rituals on and off the battlefield. Her commanders let it slide as it seemed to calm her down and even enhance her combat focus but the rank and file often felt disgusted by such acts.
| | The mission she was a part of was a success and for her work, she was offered a rather large sum of credits, more than she had seen in a lifetime even when working for the Imperials and she knew she could retire and simply live out her life till she expired but she refused. She requested something more and was surprised to find her request granted and she thus became an associate of the Sith Clan and served within its military forces as a gun for hire proving herself on multiple occasions and soon even becoming reunited with Etah. Her skills were tested, she even once partook in a mission to hunt a Jedi which ended in a success and she found she wanted more and more. With the money, she earned she picked up weapons and armour she never thought she could lay her hands on and even went as far as acquiring a flamethrower to use as her primary weapon. |
|
| |
|
| When the House was given the honour of reforming into a Clan Ophelia put herself forward to work within the upper Echelons. Though reviled her experience and skills had not gone unnoticed and she was assigned to the training of the new Plagueis Sithlings. Teaching them and developing their skills in the Dark Side alongside a Dark Jedi by the name of Taranae Rhode. Together, and as part of House Ajunta Pall they developed the Training division named The Disciples of Dreypa where she acts as the Instructor, as well as Master to her new apprentice Kythar Jakan.
| | She became known as Pyro she amused her given her previous nickname of the Ice Queen and found herself bouncing from planet to planet and conflict to conflict when the great Wars occurred and the One Sith started causing chaos but she was always in the background and never quite managed to hit that light which set her apart from the others, never quite managed to be more than just another faceless grunt fighting alongside her Sith masters…and she hated it. |
|
| |
|
| === Clan Tarentum Era ===
| | Then something she never expected happened. She died. An assault upon one of the One Sith’s bases had her in the thick of things clearing rooms with jets of white hot fire, laughing as the enemy soldiers burned alive and sparks flew around her. Upon clearing one room of weak resistance her Commanding Officer, Etah, strolled past her not paying her a second glance. As he neared the other side of the room a shadow dropped down behind him and the familiar click hiss of a lightsaber ignited readily to strike at his back. Ophelia was upon the One Sith in seconds and grabbed him by the back of the head and proceeded to pile drive him down enough to throw him off balance. Angered her aggressor turned upon her and they scuffled in hand to hand combat with the younger fighter gaining the advantage. She managed to get in several good blows and even beat him down to his knees but as he rose she felt a searing pain rush through her midriff as she realised his saber had skewered her however as she fell she grabbed him by the neck and leaned forward and bit, ripping back and feeling the hot gush of blood seep down her throat as she and the enemy collapsed in a pile upon the floor. |
| | |
| | She awoke some time later confused, disorientated and a little bewildered to where she was or how he got there. Something didn’t feel right and the room she was in was strange and almost archaic in design. She felt wrong, given that she knew she had just died she didn’t know how else to describe it and as she looked down at her hands she noticed the wrinkles of age had vanished and then she noticed they weren’t her hands. She freaked out and began probing her body with the hands that weren’t hers and found things that didn’t feel right, she looked to her left and found a bowl of water and as she pushed herself off whatever she was sitting on she found her legs give way under her and the world span and she met the floor with a hard thump and darkness consumed her again. |
| | |
| | She awoke later in a different room this time in a med bay surrounded by instruments and machines. She took a deep breath and looked down and noticed she still didn’t look right or feel right and then he entered the room. He was…no she forgot his name, but she knew he was one of the elder Tarentum Sith and he sat upon her bed next to her and explained she had been brought back and placed within a new vassal for her to continue serving the clan. She was, in fact, more than what she was giving that she had beaten death, but she was never who she once was and never would be again. It was all too much and something in her head or whoever’s head snapped and from then on the monster that she once was as a child and teenager in the Death Watch resurfaced and she became quite mad. |
|
| |
|
| Issues arose sometime after taking command of Dreypa and Ophelia vanished almost completely from the Brotherhood. For a year she trained herself, unwilling to accept her loss of connection tot he force anymore due to her cybernetics and she trained, and sought for whatever she could find. For well over a year she trained and abused the hell out of herself anyone who got in her way until finally she succeeded and found herself more adapt at the force than she had ever been before. However the downside was the electrical feedback from her lightning caused her severe pain but over time her mind snapped and she began to crave and love it. Besides that her focus on physical augmentation force powers lessened and she became a Sorcerer.
| | Things became different about her for one she remembered the sensation of the taste of blood and flesh within her mouth and wanted it again, more…her drive and hunger often found poking at the charred meat of the corpses she engulfed in flame. For another she revelled in the misery and agony she caused as soldiers and enemies ran in search of water or tried to drop and roll as the fires engulfed them. But worse than all that she wasn’t quite exactly skilled as she was in some of the things she once knew well and others she knew better than she ever had and some she had never had before but knew now. |
|
| |
|
| On the word of her Master she returned to the Brotherhood and found herself within Clan Tarentum, a new home but somewhere she may be able to further her connection to the force and learn their vile and fascinating Necromancy.
| | This issue of muddled memories came to the fore when she attempted to use a flamer in the training yard and managed to somehow mix solid and liquid fuel resulting in an explosion which engulfed her and had her almost killed again as the flamed danced across the left side of her body from head to toe. The damaged was so severe and excessive they had to remove the majority of her left side and replace it with cybernetics. She adjusted, she learnt to live with them and use them at times abuse them. She also learnt to care for them herself so she was able to make any minor repairs to them in the field. |
|
| |
|
| Another point of Note is that unlike before Ophelia fully forsook the use of animals in combat and moved onto Droids. Finding her cybernetics assisted her greatly in understanding machines and working with them in combat and espionage missions. She also returned to the Brotherhood weilding a new saber and robes which oddly bear the mark of the Inquisitorius.
| | Over the years, she began building a reputation and ascended to the rank of EQ1 something a Non-force user hadn’t done before within the Clan. She held this honour in high regard and knew it was only going to improve from here on in. That Death followed her and fire licked her boots. A Phoenix reborn from the Inferno’s ashes ready to bring the flames of wrath upon her foes. |

| Due to what can only be described as an ‘accident’ the entire left side of Ophelia, leg, arm, side, and parts of her face have been replaced by cybernetic replacements. Going by her nature she has decided to not cover them with synthflesh, in fact the simple fact she can see the replacements daily drives her anger and contempt and heighten her position within the Dark Side of the Force. The cybernetics are custom made for Ophelia; Ancient script flows across the parts and the hand and foot both end in crafted five claws instead of normal fingers and toes. | | Due to what can only be described as an ‘accident’ the entire left side of Ophelia, leg, arm, side, and parts of her face have been replaced by cybernetic replacements. | Her dress style is whatever she sees fit. She happily wears anything that will show of her cybernetics as she is well aware of the fear some close-minded mongrels have for those who have undergone cybernetic surgery, be it purposely or not. Though as it stands her current Brotherhood attire generally involves slit dresses, evening gowns, high boots, long gloves and anything else that gives her an air of refinement. | She is a lightsaber combatant through and through. She is wild and untamed in combat and will go into combat with a wild fury that she hopes will quell her opponents before her. Should she become separated from her saber, for whatever reason, then she is more than adept at hand-to-hand combat and using the environment to her advantage. | | Fire, fire burns all! She discovered a love for fire and flamers when she was still a member of the ISB and this only heightened as she rejoined the Death Watch and then up with Tarentum before and after her death. She is also competent in explosives, hand to hand and getting things done with her dual blasters as a backup. She's prone to constant movement, using cover to back her up or getting in close and unleashing pain upon those foolish enough to stand against her. |
| | |
| Ophelia has a special connection with Droids, so much in fact she has befriended one that fights constantly by her side. Together they cut a swathe of destruction across the battlefield, her unbridled fury matched by the efficient fury of her mechanical companion. They both rip into their foes with devastation and without mercy that it is often hard to tell which one is the real machine. However this comes with a downside as unlike humans she cares deeply for her companion and should it fall her focus is lost which can lead her wide open in combat scenarios, sometimes with deadly consequences.

“The Flesh is Weak, The Machine is Tempermental…”
- Ophelia Delacroix 37 ABY
Ophelia is a Mandalorian, a Member of the Death Watch and a Mercenary of Clan Tarentum and currently serving within House Mortis and the Battleteam Order of the Trident. She is mad with advanced cybernetic replacements, cold, brutal and efficient she gets the job done without a care for who or what gets in her way.
Character History
Early Life and the Death Watch
Born, as most are, Ophelia made her way into the world upon Mandalore and was raised as most children are with love, affection and a blaster in her hand. Her father was a warrior who served within the Mandalorian army during the time of the Clone wars. Her mother was herself trained in the art of war but had retired a year or so before Ophelia’s birth in order to ready herself and husband for the raising of her family and the next generation of Mandalorians.
By her eighteen birthday and with the blessing of her Clan she was permitted to temporarily leave them to join the Imperial Academy where she would put her skills to the test and earn her place in the galaxy during the Galactic civil war and forge herself in the fires of combat.
Imperial Service
Imperial Werewolves Era
To Be written.
Death Watch Era
Clan Tarentum Era
Characteristics
Appearance
At first glance Ophelia appears an any normal human would, normal amount of appendages, two legs, two arms, two eyes and whatever else comes with the standard human package. Her hair cascades down her back flowing with multiple colours and it curls down past her right hazel eye and resting just above her chin.
She holds herself with contempt, her pose threatening and uninviting. An uneasy presence emanates from her and you certainly would not wish to approach her for a hug or any bodily contact at that. Mainly due to the reason she stands different from the main human template.
Due to what can only be described as an ‘accident’ the entire left side of Ophelia, leg, arm, side, and parts of her face have been replaced by cybernetic replacements. Going by her nature she has decided to not cover them with synthflesh, in fact, the simple fact she can see the replacements daily drives her anger and contempt and heighten her position within the Brotherhood. The cybernetics are custom made for Ophelia; Ancient script flows across the parts and the hand and foot both end in crafted five claws instead of normal fingers and toes.
Her dress style is whatever she sees fit. She happily wears anything that will show off her cybernetics as she is well aware of the fear some close-minded mongrels have for those who have undergone cybernetic surgery, be it purposely or not. Though as it stands her current Brotherhood attire generally involves slit dresses, evening gowns, high boots, long gloves and anything else that gives her an air of refinement. Though no matter how much finery you slap on a monster it is still a monster.
Fighting Style
Fire, fire burns all! She discovered a love for fire and flamers when she was still a member of the ISB and this only heightened as she rejoined the Death Watch and then up with Tarentum before and after her death. She is also competent in explosives, hand to hand and getting things done with her dual blasters as a backup. She's prone to constant movement, using cover to back her up or getting in close and unleashing pain upon those foolish enough to stand against her.
Personality
Uncaring, cold, brutal. Three words to use Ophelia which wouldn't even begin to describe exactly what she is like. She has dedicated herself to being a weapon, getting the job done and killing as much as she can as she does. She wades into combat like a butcher and comes out dressed head to toe in whatever matter came off the opponent.
She has a few psychological problems, the main one being her tendency to devour flesh. She also happily sacrifices those under her if they get in her way, as there to her is nothing more important than herself and the mission. Due to the trauma she underwent with the cybernetic replacements, she finds herself less than human now and this enrages her it is, for this reason, she leaves the metal uncovered so as to remind her of the weakness and drive her into greater frenzies.
She is curt, she hates small talk and is not one for jokes. She gets annoyed if someone attempts to pull her into any form of idle chit chat and is more than happy to just keep her mouth shut and stare someone down till they shut up. She lords over the slaves, house and clan military forces like a wild animal that’s only being held back by a piece of string and she adores seeing the revulsion and fear in their eyes as they skirt around her.
