Vallen'dere, also known as Vallen or Valdere, serves as an envoy of the Clan of the Disciples of Sadow. Though Vallen is somewhat diminutive in stature and appears relatively frail he is a skilled sorcerer and a master of illusion and trickery. What Vallen may lack in combat prowess, he makes up for in ingenuity and raw Force-potential.

Vallen spends most of his time traveling the Outer Rim in search of fresh recruits to send back to the Orian system for training. He is a manipulative individual with few scruples and has been willing to sell his loyalty to the highest bidder in order to further his own lust for power. Vallen is relatively unknown throughout the Clan, only passing through Orian a few times each year. He is something of an outsider, leading many to believe his recruitment methods are far from orthodox and may be more a result of his mind influence.

During the Battle of Dajorra in late 28 ABY he fell under the influence of Darth Vexatus who was willing to manipulate the envoy's detachment from the rest of the Clan for his own purposes.
