The Void Spire is the personal hold of Lord Solas Night-Thorn di Morte, better known as Wrathus. Built in a dry lake bed on Dromund Kass, the Void Spire is the blend of modern military installation and ancient Sith temple.
History
After his pilgramige to Sith Space, Wrathus decided that he would rather live away from the bulk of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. And so using most of the wealth he retrieved from his family's estate on Sarkhai, he commisioned the construction of a great monolith to serve as his home.
Physical Description
The Void Spire is a tall monolith built of polished obsidian and decorated with carved hieroglyphs, reminiscent of ancient Sith magic wards. In addition to the main monolith, three smaller spires of obsidian float around the structure held aloft by some unseen power. The main structure towers 167 meters over the surrounding landscape. While the tower itself is build on a duracrete foundation set into the ground, the base of the tower is surrounded by a raised platform that houses the structures resource management systems. The platform has two walkways branching off it. These walkways lead to two landing pads; a smaller one that houses Wrathus's personal ship the DT-3c "Fury", and a larger one that serves as the landing pad for any visitors to the Spire.
The interior of the Spire is divided into four partitions. The bottom 100 meters are divided amongst living quarters, offices, mess halls and other living necessities. Above that is a single 17 meter tall level. This level is comprised of a large open gathering space; often used as a courtyard/training area. The remaining 40 meters above that serves as Wrathus's personal quarters along with the quarters of his apprentices and his team of Sith assassin's the Warshadows. The final 10 meters at the top of the Spire is home to a modest Sith temple.
There are also several sublevels, 15 in total, the bottom of which serve as a prison and a torture chamber. The upper sublevels serve as infrastructure and a small maintenance hanger.
Garrison
In addition to serving as Wrathus's home, the Void Spire is also home to many others. These include the structure's intendant Cath Rannek, the Warshadows, a platoon of 36 troopers, and a cadre of slaves.
Cath Rannek
Cath Rannek is a human male in the employ of Wrathus to serve as intendant and steward of the Void Spire. Not much is known about the man prior to his service to Wrathus, only that Cath Rannek is not the name he was born with and that he is well versed in the history and customs of the Ancient Sith.
The Warshadows
Assassins, hunters, elite guards, the Warshadows have many titles. What they are however are a team of 8 Dark Side warriors trained by Wrathus. While they lack the power to become proper Sith, their abilities have been honed to a razor's edge. In addition, each has been subjected to unspeakable torture and modifications that have left each and every one a cold unfeeling weapon. The Warshadows are often dispatched on missions that are either too risky or not important enough for his apprentices.
Their true identities have been erased. In their place, each Warshadow is given a title, a way to tell one from another. The current eight Warshadows are:
- Wrath
- Envy
- Greed
- Whisper
- Hatred
- Sin
- Pride
- Spite
Spire Guards
While the Void Spire is build in a secluded area on an uninhabited planet, one can never be too careful. And with the ever-changing nature of the Brotherhood, Wrathus protects his home with a platoon of privately hired troopers. Each is trained in ranged as well as melee combat. And weather it's because of money, loyalty, or the fear of their master, these men and women would gladly lay down their lives in the defense of the Void Spire.
