The Emperor's Hammer is an organization of online Star Wars gaming fans founded in December 1994. It was primarily based on the TIE Fighter but expanded to include many other game platforms and takes place in the Star Wars Universe following the Battle of Endor. They have several SubGroups which allow interested Imperial Citizens to join without owning any computer games.
The Emperor's Hammer is an UNOFFICIAL Star Wars related organization, supported entirely by its Members.
Subgroups
TIE Corps
Though not officially a subgroup, the TIE Corps encorporates the members in the base EH. Participation includes: TIE Fighter , TIE Fighter CD, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance.
Dark Brotherhood
The Dark Jedi subgroup concentrates on the mystical ways of the Dark Side of the Force. This is where the current DJB came from. Participation includes: Jedi Knight, X-wing vs. TIE Fighter, XWing Alliance, Jedi Knight II, Galactic Battlegrounds, Jedi Academy, Star Wars RPG and Member-submitted fiction.
Hammer's Fist
The elite Stormtroopers of the Emperor's Hammer. These troopers consist of highly trained Imperial Stormtroopers that perform special operations for the Fleet. Participation includes: Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi OutCast, Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and Clone Campaigns Expansion, Total Annihilation - SW Mod.
Intelligence Division
The eyes and ears of the Emperor's Hammer in the chaotic region of the Outer Rim Territories. The ID keeps a close watch not only on our internal Fleet workings but also external threats. Individual 'Bureaus' and 'Branches' of Intel perform highly secret and critical functions for the Fleet. These can include VIP escort, infiltration, information gathering, etc. Although Fighter Missions are used by some Branches of 'Intel', purchase of a flightsim game is not needed to join Intel as WWW and IRC 'hunts' and 'black ops' are conducted as well. Optional game platforms: TIE Fighter, TIE Fighter CD, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, X-Wing Alliance and online 'black ops'.
EH Directorate
The Directorate's primary mission is to both secure and help develop planets and colonies to service the Emperor's Hammer. Planetary Governor's and their staff officers oversee the political and economic development on every EH aligned planet and colony, ensuring that peace and stability exist, while also ensuring that the EH is provided whatever resources and tools it needs to continue. Since the fall of the Empire at the Battle of Endor, the Directorate has been the primary means by which the EH secures and protects its citizens and territories. With vast defense and system fleets, the Directorate is able to respond to all emergencies and contingencies immediately and efficiently. Through trade and politics, the Directorate keeps the vital resources and goods flowing throughout the entire EH territory, while ensuring that the civilian populations on each colony and planet are well cared for and kept secure. Game platforms: Diplomacy, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, and Star Wars Rebellion.
Corporate Division
The Corporate Division was designed for those who had practical skills in the Emperor's Hammer - webdesign, graphics creation, coding skills, and other "in demand" abilities. The Division flourished for some time as a working subgroup, where members were paid credits, had "suit" uniforms, and operated on a corporate structure, being led by the President, and his Board of Directors, the Vice Presidents of the Corporate Division.
The Fringe
The Emperor's Hammer focuses on the Star Wars Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG) Star Wars Galaxies. The "adventures" take place online in the always running MMORPG where you create and personalize your own character/avatar in both appearance, style and profession. (game platform: Star Wars Galaxies).
The Infiltrator Wing
Former Rebel pilots now serving the Imperial Remnant. This Sub-Group has since been dissolved and reconstituted into a Task Force in the Tie Corps.
Most Wanted List
A number of prominent, and not so prominent, members of the Brethren are afforded the distinction of being on the Most Wanted List of the Emperor's Hammer. These are beings considered so vile, their crimes considered so heinous, that they are to be banned on sight from any EH communications network or facility.
A partial list of members on the EH's Most Wanted List is displayed below.
