During the season teams accumulate points from their wins, losses and capture ratio, which gives them a certain placing. This placing is meant only to keep track of who is going to make it to the Playoffs. Players will also receive points based on captures, saves, kills, etc that will be totaled for use in creating All-Star teams, and of course for extra rewards. This is mainly to give people more initiative to create a team and show up for matches and will also make them want to strive to get better and win matches.

The Post Season will start exactly one week after the season ends. This is to give everyone a chance to rest and prepare for the more arduous and intense play of Playoffs. By this time there will be a few less teams to compete as only the top teams make it to the Playoffs. Only the top four (4) teams will make it to the post season based on their standings in the regular season. These teams will then play one another in a round robin-style tournament increasing their standings. After each team has played the others two times a winner will be chosen.

Once a team is assembled they must decide upon a team leader who will be the liaison, between the officials and the team themselves. The Team Leader will put together the roster and teams name/slogan/logo (logo optional) and submit it for approval. Once a team is approved they can began training and practicing.

The Points System is still being developed and will depend on several things. Mainly us being able to modify the JO CTF stats to display as we want them to. Failing that, we will take each individuals score for an entire match and divide that by a number to give them their total points earned for said match. To make things fairer in choosing an All-Star team, we'll be separating the points by categories: Runners, Defenders, Supporters. So don't worry if you always earn less points as a Supporter. You'll still have a chance to make it on the All-Star team by being the best in your category.

Welcome to the CTF League Re-Imagined. This EPIC event will hopefully be taking place shortly after the Eighth Great Jedi War. Stay tuned for more information.

The League Setup

Pre-Season

In the Pre-Season, teams will have the opportunity to form, practice and signup for the League. The Pre-Season will last two weeks leading up to the event’s starting date. At the start of the regular season team changes can no longer be made unless there are special circumstances.

Regular Season

The regular season will run for one entire month. To make it easier for matches to be played they won’t be made up in advance. Any team will be able to play any other team that is available. The goal is to get the most points so as to advance to the post season.

During the season teams accumulate points from their wins, losses and capture ratio, which gives them a certain placing. This placing is meant only to keep track of who is going to make it to the Playoffs. Players will also receive points based on captures, saves, kills, etc. that will be totaled for use in creating All-Star teams, and of course for extra rewards. This is mainly to give people more initiative to create a team and show up for matches and will also make them want to strive to get better and win matches.

Post Season

The Post Season will start exactly one week after the season ends. This is to give everyone a chance to rest and prepare for the more arduous and intense play of Playoffs. By this time there will be a few less teams to compete as only the top teams make it to the Playoffs. Only the top four (4) teams will make it to the post season based on their standings in the regular season. These teams will then play one another in a round robin-style tournament increasing their standings. After each team has played the others two times a winner will be chosen.

Alternately, the post season can be an elimination bracket tournament. Teams will face off against one another in a best of three match-up with the winners advancing to the final. The final match will declare the first and second place teams, while another match will be played between third and fourth to create the top three placings.

All-Star Game

The All-Star game is a fun event, which will take place after the League has ended. We'll take the top point scorers in each position to create two All-Star teams that will compete against each other after the Playoffs.

Teams

Members will have ample time to create, manage and start training their teams prior to the start of the League. Teams will be made from any House, Clan and Order. You pick who you want to play with and you stick with that team throughout the duration of the Season.

Once a team is assembled they must decide upon a team leader who will be the liaison, between the officials and the team themselves. The Team Leader will put together the roster and teams name/slogan/logo (logo optional) and submit it for approval. Once a team is approved they can began training and practicing.

Teams will consist of three members – a Flag Runner, a Defender, and a Supporter. Sanctioned matches require that each position be filled.

Alternate Players

In the event that two teams wish to play but are lacking a teammate they can request an alternate. An alternate can be any League participant that is available during the regular season. During playoffs, alternates can only be chosen from League players that don’t have a team in the post season. The reason for being so lenient on alternates is that this event is meant to be fun and it’s much more fun to play, even with alternates, then to not play.

Match Rules

The match rules will be the same throughout the season and are as follows: (note – Rules may be changed for Playoffs)

  • Matches will be played to five (5) captures
  • Full Force Guns/Sabers
  • Jedi Master Force
  • Once all players are in game and on the right team, map will be voted to restart. On restart the match commences
  • If a player is disconnected/has to go AFK the match will pause until either an alternate can join or until the player gets back. (if only AFK shortly)
  • If an alternate is not available upon disconnection, play will continue or the team can choose to forfeit for not fielding the required amount of players
  • The map used for matches will be Bespin Exhaust Shafts as it is ideal for six (6) players. If both teams can decide on another then that may be used instead

Points System

The Points System is still being developed and will depend on several things. Mainly us being able to modify the JO CTF stats to display as we want them to. Failing that, we will take each individuals score for an entire match and divide that by a number to give them their total points earned for said match. To make things fairer in choosing an All-Star team, we'll be separating the points by categories: Runners, Defenders, Supporters. So don't worry if you always earn less points as a Supporter. You'll still have a chance to make it on the All-Star team by being the best in your category.

Team Points

Team points go towards team standings, which will decide what teams make it to the playoffs.

For Points Description
Win 2 A team win
Loss 1 A team loss
Capture Ratio +/- Captures for/against

Individual Points

Individual Points go towards earning your way into one of the two All-Star teams at the end of the League. Points will also determine whether or not you deserve extra rewards for your activity and skill.

For Points Description
Win 5 Team has won the game
Loss 2 Team has lost the game
Captures 3 Capturing the flag
Defense 2 Returning your teams flag
Assists 1 Killing the flag carrier
Tries 1 Obtaining enemy teams flag but not capping

Reporting

At the end of every match all players are requested to wait until a final score screenshot can be taken. This screenshot will be used to determine individual points and will be used as a highlight shot of a team’s win. It will also be used as proof of a match’s legitimacy.

Match results will be sent to the League's Admin Team - (Address pending) in the format:

Team (NAME) vs Team (Name)
Team (NAME) victory, (# of caps) to (# of caps)
