Do you have another logo for HQD that this replaced? Unless there's a pre-existing and better alternative, I don't see any reason for this to be removed "just because". I don't think one existed because the House had been closed for a good long while, and existed solely as a Battleteam. As there wasn't a logo to change or replace, how would adopting this one cause problems with consistency? And really, your HRLD description says that your job is to safeguard against unnecessary change and revision, preserve consistent identity, etc, not that all images need to be approved. If that's what you want it to say, write it that way, don't imply. Oh, and nice lie btw.:

There is way too much fluff on the "person" Qel-Droma that should be cut out. It's completely pointless. Yes, I know the house was named after him. but we don't need his life history in a nutshell here. Link to Wookieepedia.

Rename the article itself ''House Qel-Droma'', kill the first 2 sections, check for oddities in the wording (House Arcona?), straighten out what's left to make it more clear (check for spelling/grammar), fix mistakes in coding (around a mention of Gilkane there is ]] ]] instead of [[ ]] for a link) and this might actually shape up into something decent.

  • Develops Order, Clan, House, Family and Society symbols and logos as necessary
  • Responsible for safeguarding against unnecessary revision of existing logos and symbols, as they are crucial to consistent identity marking

While I do not mind others running competitions for House emblems, it is the duty of the Herald to approve the application of House and/or Clan emblems. As this was not sent for approval, I request that this image be deleted, as well as the warbanner attached to this page. Grandfathering is not an excuse. Thank you. --Shikyo 00:02, 11 Oct 2008 (EST)

Deletion

Can someone please delete this page? It's no longer relevant. Thanks. --Kel 08:43, 28 May 2007 (MDT)

Actually, Qel-Droma is also a former House of Clan Arcona that is currently closed. As such, this page should probably concern itself with the history of that House, instead of the Battleteam that was named after the closed House--Halcyon 10:32, 28 May 2007 (MDT)

  • So, can you change the page name to "House Qel-Droma"? Thanks. --Kel 10:49, 28 May 2007 (MDT)
  • If this is a page on a past battle team then it shouldn't be deleted. Just because a team is no longer opened doesn't mean it has no place in history. You don't see people taking Julius Caesar out of encyclopedias just because he has been dead for hundreds of years ;)

Aside from that, if the old house needs an article, which it probably does, then another one should be made, unless you'd like to use this one for both the house and battleteam. Either way, the battle team still should be known about Aabs 15:06, 28 May 2007 (MDT)

The entire page is basically about the House, except for certain specifics concerning the BT. There is no written history about the BT, as it was once a continuation of the House itself, after it was closed. So probably easier to re-name it and focus on completing that portion of the history--Halcyon 15:28, 28 May 2007 (MDT)

  • Ok, I have an idea, I'll just write the history of this Battle Team, and how it got closed, and I will make a special page for the house Qel-Droma --Kel 15:34, 28 May 2007 (MDT)
  • Reverted edit and changed it so it is now about House Qel-Droma.

Refocus

There is way too much fluff on the "person" Qel-Droma that should be cut out. It's completely pointless. Yes, I know the house was named after him. but we don't need his life history in a nutshell here. Link to Wookieepedia.

Rename the article itself House Qel-Droma, kill the first 2 sections, check for oddities in the wording (House Arcona?), straighten out what's left to make it more clear (check for spelling/grammar), fix mistakes in coding (around a mention of Gilkane there is ]] ]] instead of [[ ]] for a link) and this might actually shape up into something decent.
