Personal Life

Early Years 6ABY-13ABY

The youngest child of Koji and Mariko, Mihoshi was born several years after all of the other children had been taken away or had left home. Her parents doted on her, teaching her all of the things a young lady would need in the future. Music, art, defense training. The sword masters of the Family crafted weapons for the very small Mihoshi and by the age of seven, she was training with them.

The happy days of childhood ended rather abruptly for Miho in the way these things sometimes did. In fire, flame and agony. Besieged by an enemy of their family, the Keibatsu fought and died at Kuroshin except for one. A young girl who was smuggled out after the timely intervention of her brother, Manji, who had returned home just in time to avoid the bloodshed but also to save the trapped Mihoshi.

Injured with burns and a multitude of other cuts and scrapes, Miho was taken away from a place that would now only hold ghosts that would haunt her the rest of her life to be cared for by her brother. She healed slowly over the span of months, relearning how to walk after the burns to her feet and calves healed.

Naga Sadow and the K'hamar'an Crisis 13ABY-16ABY

Miho traveled with her brother, staying out of sight as much as possible and learning how to speak with as little accent as possible. Manji took the time to impress on the sister he barely knew the importance of keeping who they had been a secret. This tall, green-eyed stranger quickly became the entirety of Miho's world. His approval and disapproval had become enough for the young girl to learn the ins and out of social interaction. He tried to instill the warrior's stoicism in his sister, but stoicism gave way to the exuberance deeply ingrained at Mihoshi's core and he learned things from her as well. Manji became her closest confidant, learning all of her little secrets, all of her small concerns that he treated with the gravity they seemed to deserve to his young sister.

Eventually the two found their way to the Orian system and the halls of Naga Sadow. Manji was welcomed in as a warrior and a knight in short order, giving the two of them a new home finally. While Manji worked for the Clan of Dark Siders they had joined, Miho was expected to learn. She attended classes at the Academy, learning everything she could as fast as she could. Her accent continued to fall away, hidden beneath layers and layers of secrecy.

One day, she had come home from the Academy to find a stranger in their home. A stranger with eyes burned black. The recognition on the stranger's face was not comforting to the girl, who had been trained extensively to avoid anyone and anything that might recognize her.
