While progress had been slow, Sarat had been working himself to breaking point to analyze and judge what they had uncovered, even as more works had arrived. The Seven Pillars was an event that took place in 38 ABY and extended well into the following year. An archeological dig on Kiast by Duros Professor Calo Sarat came into possession an ancient journal belonging to Jedi Master Shula Sularen while excavating the Velastari Temple. Having stolen the item from a powerful Vatali noble, Sarat directly approached Clan Odan-Urr for help, both to offset the political risks and for expertise. The involvement of the Jedi led to a major expedition to discover and preserve elements relating to the Jedi Order's history.
Event Details
Kiast
Episode I Fiction
Through both legitimate and underhanded means, Professor Calo Sarat established an excavation site on Kiast, seeking to examine the interior of the Velastari Temple. Although the excavation of the site itself was founded legally and via official means, he sought the services of a Quorahi Captain to steal Master Sularen's journal. Failing to outline the true nature of this venture's risks, their agent came close to murdering Sarat and his assistant, Asiz Tokani, and only relented following payment.
Having already succeeded in breaching the temple interior and tunneling their way through the collapsed western wing, they were able to secure and preserve a large number of artifacts. After uncovering statues of robed figures and attempting to fully examine Sularen's writings, Sarat opted to involve Clan Odan-Urr to further enhance his research and as protection against possible threats. As the journal had been taken from Barad Ghalor, one of the most powerful figures within the system, this was seen as a vital move to both speed up their research and potentially offset any threats.
Their choice proved to be highly fortuitous, as the Jedi were able to uncover a hidden room within the temple known as the Cave of Light. Details from their findings soon pointed to a series of relics and potential finds on the damaged world of Jedha.

Episode II Epilogue
After weeks of work and continued digging, the group had uncovered a wealth of relics from about the surrounding area. Going from a number of discovered texts, Sarat was able to find that three of the most important scriptures had been recorded in different languages. Azis was able to identify at least one as mentioning ‘Namut, chief among the Whills', in a variation of High Sith that had deviated from the common structure.
