| Alaisy Tir'eivra is a Sith of Clan Arcona and one of the Magistrates of the Herald, part of House Qel-Droma and Battle team Voidbreaker. She was introduced to Clan Arcona by Rhylance after they met on Nar Shaddaa.
| | Strict Imperial upbringing on an isolated, toxic remnant world forced the female Human to adapt and put her emerging talent in Sith Alchemy to use, animating objects and experimenting with materials to find a balance between practicality, lethality, and beauty. One of her crowning achievements is the creation of her living alchemical suit made from the tree sap of Tratlaum's last Bleeding Willow tree, which is now metonym with her black-clad, shimmering appearance. |

|
| | Corruption, caused by her deep immersion into the <span style="color:#4682b4;">Dark Side of the Force</span> may have been one reason for her unnatural height. The symbiosis and merging with her suit halted her growth and helped to mend the cycle of damage the dark energies caused to her body. The integration of the memories and plant-like properties of her symbiote makes it difficult to determine whether Alaisy is still even Human, especially with her alopecia treated, <span style="color:#4682b4;">Ryn</span>-spliced tail. |

| == Character History == | | In the end, it is all part of Tir'eivra's ultimate goal of self-perfection through trials and self-set milestones. It meshes with Sith ideology, and it is the route she takes to get there that makes it unique. She has bestowed the Sith name of '<span style="color:#4682b4;">Aphotis</span>' upon herself, using it as a challenge for other Sith to test their mettle against her. |
| === Early Life (14 ABY - 30 ABY) === | | |
| | == Description == |
| | |
| | === Personality & Interests === |
| | |
| | Alaisy Tir'eivra is by nature a gloom-ridden, pessimistic, and passionate creature. She works hard to blend terror with seduction. For her, it is both a weapon and a lifestyle. Her constant pessimism is her answer to the fragility of hopes and expectations. In her eyes, worse is always yet to come and it is better to be ready than surprised. |
| | |
| | One way in which she keeps terrors on the surface is by often plunging into a dream-state. This is where she tends to her Garden of Trepidations, keeping them vital and ready to be unleashed onto her prey. The tall woman gathers inspiration in places with great tragedy, beset by ruin and decay. Sometimes she is seen deep in thought or surprisingly willing to share melancholy with others. |
| | |
| | On the surface, she can seem like a very selfish person. However, there are situations in which she can open up to others, or even support them. Self-improvement is her main drive, both as a Sith and as a person. While Alaisy draws deeply from the <span style="color:#4682b4;">Sith Code</span>, it is her love for trials and challenges that push her further. This is also an area in which she can show empathy. Seeing someone else struggle and work hard for their goals delights her. But she also relates to someone's worth in rivalries, deep philosophical debates, or by learning from their experiences in life. |
| | |
| | Pain and hardships are large elements in this. Struggle is the chance to improve your survival, both physically and mentally. As a result, she is a terrible team player, putting so much importance on the power of the individual that she does not believe in friendships or working together towards a common goal. |
| | |
| | Conflict is something Alaisy actively seeks to avoid stagnation. She will use every trick in the book to come out on top or to learn from her betters. She shows no remorse when killing, sometimes enjoying a much less complicated outcome. The only condition is the amount of pain inflicted, often wanting more of it. Both to inflict it and to receive it. |
| | |
| | Despite being utterly ruthless, she is seldom found to be arrogant. She merely sees things through without doubt or remorse. Her intellect allows her to pull away from situations that she no longer has faith in, willing to always listen to all sides of a story. Alaisy also rarely lies, preferring to be direct and bold, unafraid to stand her ground for her views and beliefs. Ironically it is these traits that often make her seem unpredictable, as Sith are widely seen as subtle and deceptive. Tir’eivra is neither, she is truthful to a fault and as subtle, and ferocious as a rancor. She can swap allegiances on a whim, following her instincts and gut feelings, and that is what makes her incalculable. Only someone awe-inspiringly charismatic and pragmatic could temporarily convince her to act out of her 'nature'. |
| | |
| | Alaisy has had the full blessing from a sect of <span style="color:#4682b4;">Nightsisters</span> and had her symbiotic blood infused with Magick. With knowledge of rituals, she can siphon energy from The Living Force and imbue others with gifts or curses. The experience Tir’eivra has gained from the Ovegnii Clan made her all the more unrelenting and untamed. Ultimately, however, she considers herself to be Sith first, and she is not afraid to make that clear. Other Nightsister Clans might not recognize her as one of them, or even actively take offense to her possessing any artifact they claim should be owned by witches only. |
| | |
| | From birth onward her life has been regimented, mostly due to her Imperial upbringing. This has made her very self-disciplined, efficient, and self-sufficient. But that order and strictness get in the way of her yearning for freedom. This is a point of frustration when she has to wait and can't fully utilize her free time. She has never considered herself to be Imperial, and she disagrees with just about anything the Empire stands for. |
| | |
| | The merging with her symbiote has calmed her down somewhat, being a long-living organism, it taught her to look much further into the future. It also opened up alchemical solutions to evolutionary lackings. She is not beyond the genetic modification of herself or others in the name of beauty or fear. Sith and Nightsister rituals are often used by Tir’eivra to justify immoral experiments. |
| | |
| | In more than one way she knows that societies cannot condone her behavior, but as much as it antagonizes people against her, it also breeds a competitive admiration towards her. Fear makes others pliable, freezing them in place and beauty makes them fight for her, sometimes against each other even. It is such a perfectly chaotic combination that she doesn’t even try to hide straight-up war crimes. Someone else will take the fall or see her as the perfect monster for the job. |
| | |
| | === Appearance === |
| | |
| | Tir'eivra has very pale, soft, white skin lacking any scarring on her body. Strangely it has very few, if any, pores or hairs, and her veins are set deeper. Her shiny, black tail is about 140 centimeters long (4'6") and connects to her spine in a smooth gradient at her back. |
| | |
| | Her raven hair is almost as shiny as the <span style="color:#4682b4;">latex</span> she wears. It is also surprisingly heavy, falling straight, without ever having a single stray hair. Her hair gets polished by her nutritious and scented oils just like her second skin does and it consists of less keratin and large amounts of isoprene. |
| | |
| | Aphotis' eyes used to be grey with flecks of gold. Alterations have permanently tinted them a bright electric blue. They tend to have an unnatural glow to them that even illuminates her cheeks and lashes a little. When she dips deep into the dark side they bleach themselves into a bright eerie white. |
| | |
| | Many of these unnatural anomalies are products of alchemical experiments, gene-splicing, and the merging with her symbiote. The majority are deliberate transformations, but not all of them are meant to be expressed visually. She has given herself a frightening allure even to species such as Miraluka. Her aura tends to be crimson in the middle with a tendril-like darkness surrounding it, that seems to absorb light and energy. Her scent and taste are a mix of spicy chilies and dark chocolate, with a citrus-vanilla aroma coming from the latex she wears. |
| | |
| | She also has tattoos. Rarely seen, because of neck corsets, Alaisy has a tattoo covering her neck. It consists of two large circles with the name 'Aphotis' spelled out in Basic. Meaning 'of perpetual darkness'. Smaller lettering in <span style="color:#4682b4;">ur-Kittât</span> on the large circles shows the pilgrimages she has made to important dark nexi. |
| | |
| | Lastly, her eyeliner has been tattooed on permanently by <span style="color:#4682b4;">Sith Pincerbugs</span>. Meant to be permanent and excruciatingly painful, this further shows her devotion to embodying beauty and terror. |
| | === Apparel, Design, and Philosophy === |
| | |
| | Of course, the first thing anyone identifies about Alaisy is her shiny latex clothing. Her alchemical suit, or second skin as she calls it, most often comes in the shape of a full-bodied catsuit. On other occasions, she has been seen in public having it shaped into various dresses. She accessorizes it with corsets, belts & buckles, and armbands. The only times that she layers on different clothing is in places that are very dry or are afflicted by acid rain. These are most often hooded cloaks. |
| | |
| | She's also often caught wearing a personalized facemask. There are many reasons why Alaisy chooses to wear one. The most plain reason would be that a mask can be very intimidating. Sith often wear them, either to channel power into the objects themselves or to aid in their terrifying appearance. |
| | They also allow them to block outside influences. It conveys the message that they fully embrace the Dark Side. In Alaisy's case, her mask is her identity, as much as her face. A lot of thought went into the design of her facemask, from its appearance to its functions. |
|
| |
|
| Alaisy Tir’eivra was born on a remote planet called Tratlaum, a purple hued rock with a thin atmosphere located many parsecs away from the Core worlds. On its surface were only a couple of residential structures, cloaked away from most of the Galaxy.
| | The functionality of her transparisteel domed visor is that it gives her a wide peripheral view, and the ability to darken it enables her to dim bright lights. Aesthetically, it transmits femininity and mystery. She can choose when to show her eyes and reveal her emotions, but when she leaves the lens opaque it makes her look esoteric and predatorial. The metal plating is practical for structural strength, but it also symbolizes restriction and dedication by binding her high ponytail in a cuff and sealing onto her neck corset. |
|
| |
|
| She grew up within one of these metal structures together with her family and a host of servants. The Tir’eivra family shared the complex with several other families that were looking for a way out during the Galactic Civil War, while a few have remained there since.
| | Tir'eivra feels safe behind a mask, having grown up wearing one on her home planet Tratlaum. It illustrates her freedom, being able to explore the toxic outdoors without worry, enabling her to escape the stresses of her Imperial upbringing. Many Sith choose to make their mask uncomfortable or painful to wear, strengthening their devotion to the Dark Side. Alaisy foregoes this by instead giving her mask the ability to temporarily cut off her supply of oxygen. Doing this gives her the ability to focus and push through inhuman amounts of pain and struggle, much like a shot of adrenalin would. Aside from this, her mask is as much part of her as her Alchemical skin is, it can feel warmth, pressure, cold, and pain. This sensitivity gives it an allure and sensuality. |
|
| |
|
| Her mother Echoki and her father Liancend taught Alaisy and her siblings most of the basic galactic school subjects, but also put a strict emphasis on martial-arts training. The siblings were encouraged to be competitive between each other and often pushed things too far. Despite being the youngest, Alaisy was already quite tall for her age, leading to her being challenged by her siblings more often.
| | In general, she always wears heels. The combination of dominance, power, elegance, and balance makes them an absolute must. To her, they are as comfortable to run on as her own feet. They are always at least ten inches in height because, to her, it makes them proportionate to her tall frame. She is still cautious when wearing high heels, if there is a grid on the floor specifically meant to trap them, she will either use a repulsor to float over the obstacle or take them off. Aphotis can often be seen wearing incredibly high, heavily weighted, platform boots with vibroblades attached on the outer sides. The excessive weight of over five kilograms makes them cumbersome—and are only wearable because of her training, the perfect fitting, and her sheer willpower—but even more deadly. The other reason for them being so heavy is because of the sound they produce, filling the hallways with her *click*, *clacking* can be inspiring to the Sith. Within the large platforms reside jet boots, allowing her to take flight while keeping her frame sleek. The possibility of giving a jet-powered kick, or showing someone the underside of her sole aren't tactics she shies away from either. |
|
| |
|
| During one of the challenges, when Alaisy was only four years old, her brother and sisters teamed up together and pushed her into a corner. In a fit of anger Alaisy managed to push them aside without touching them physically, and it was at this moment that the siblings discovered her Force-sensitivity. Her parents panicked at the notion and separated Alaisy from the martial arts trainings, only for her to be introduced to her Uncle Dogond.
| | === Alchemical Second Skin === |
|
| |
|
| Her uncle was primarily tasked by her parents to teach her about subtlety and techniques to keep her hidden from other Force-users. In his early years Dogond visited many ancient ruins rumored to have strong connections to the Force and studied these carefully. Under his guidance Alaisy developed an interest in his past adventures, most particularly in the history of the Sith.
| | |
|
| |
|
| Dogond did his very best to keep up with Alaisy’s insatiable thirst for knowledge and dug up as much as he could on ancient lore, rituals and techniques. Regardless of his efforts he was unable to quench her thirst and he quickly ran out of material to teach her. In response he desperately scrounged together information about other, less interesting subjects.
| | Tir’eivra’s Alchemical Suit is a living garment, made of solidified, milky white liquid, that functions as her second skin, and when fully extended covers more surface area than her primary biological skin. Made of epithelial cells with large amounts of <span style="color:#4682b4;">isoprene</span>, it can be classified as an organ, as it is a collection of tissues that serve similar functions. |
| As her uncle began to sound repetitive she grew more and more frustrated. Eventually she decided to put her subterfuge skills to the test and snuck towards the docks where they resupplied the facility.
| | |
| | When fully stretched, it covers her tail, parts of her mask, her boots, and belts. The attire can fully retract into her tail and settle between her spinal discs. It lacks pores or hairs and adjusts pressurization depending on the environment. Temperature regulation is mainly managed by her tail, by balancing blood flow over its long length. The suit's reflective finish comes from a nourishing, anti-inflammatory oily substance produced by glands; these oils also serve a minor function as temperature regulators, both on top of the second skin, and below it. The latex is not chemically chlorinated and gains a matted texture when it is left untreated. |
|
| |
|
| When her uncle discovered Alaisy wasn’t present at class, he hurried to the docks of the facility and after some time looking around he caught a glimpse of her trying to sneak onto a cargo hauler. He managed to pull her out just before the guards noticed.
| | Only Alaisy can willfully remove, or adjust its coverage. She can also grant permission. Forceful removal, however, can be excruciatingly painful as it is incredibly sensitive. While it can be dyed, changing colors is taxing and temporary. The suit takes various shapes, favoring a full-coverage catsuit but can adapt to different clothing forms, though some require longer growth cycles. The latex can cover surfaces beyond her skin, like her mask and shoes, thus sharing with those accessories her senses of pain, pressure, warmth, and cold. Buckles and other metal pieces can be attached similarly to skin piercings. |
|
| |
|
| Assuredly, he convinced her that it wouldn’t end well if she continued her plan, instead suggesting her to join him on a short trip to resupply on amenities at a nearby black market. Despite a disappointed look from Alaisy he informed her that it might be an invaluable lesson to see what kind of people her family had to deal with. He emphasized that she remained at his back at all times and keep her affinity to the Force hidden as well as she could.
| | Although not classified as armor, the suit is effective at repelling high-velocity attacks for a very limited time. Practically it can only be compared to light armor in overall performance. When damaged, it can repair itself by slowly weaving strands and tendrils together, feeding off of the Dark Side of the Force. Alaisy's alchemically treated body completely rejects cybernetics, but it is capable of organically regrowing tissues such as bones, heart muscles, and even parts of the brain. The speed at which this process happens depends entirely on the severity of the damage and the depth of her immersion in the Dark Side. |
|
| |
|
| Despite being disheartened about her failed attempt at escaping she eventually complied and joined her uncle on the trip in his dingy looking shuttle.
| | === Speech & Mannerisms === |
|
| |
|
|
| | Tir'eivra speaks and behaves with upper-class etiquette. She rarely lies and her presence tends to draw attention. Because she's often seen wearing a mask, she uses her long, black tail to convey her emotional state to others. If it stands up straight it likely means a state of alertness or a sign of aggression, whereas if it is seen swinging calmly from side to side it often means Alaisy is in a good state of mind and may behave more amicable towards someone. |
| === The Black Market (30 ABY - 33 ABY) ===
| |
|
| |
|
| When they arrived at the black market they were awaited by a large group of disillusioned looking armed men. Two short chubby individuals chattered between themselves while the rest of the armed men were awaiting orders. The slightly shorter one announced a change of plans, suddenly aiming his blaster at Alaisy’s Uncle.
| | Aphotis has a mezzo-soprano singing voice that can be described as haunting and enigmatic. It goes well with music and dance that tends to be calm, dark, and moody. Other, more upbeat types of music can work for her as well, mostly when using her voice as a direct contrast. When she speaks there is a distinct aristocratic, smoky, and judgemental tone in her voice. This is often only amplified by her helmet's voice modulator, which she hardly ever uses to disguise her own. |
|
| |
|
| The men changed their loyalty from Alaisy’s family to that of their own and killed her Uncle in cold blood. She could feel her uncle’s hand loosening its grip on hers as he dropped down lifelessly in front of the thugs.
| | Relationship-wise Alaisy is entirely non-committal and is mainly attracted to traits in others that she strives for herself. This makes her autosexual first—not to be confused with mere narcissism—and pansexual second. Sometimes this makes her resort to illusions and other methods to make others look more like her. Ironically, if someone else is performing a little too well at being like her, she can become jealous and the mood can shift from romantic to confrontational on a whim. |
|
| |
|
| In the hopes of receiving a large ransom from the Tir’eivra family or a bargaining chip against the government they were rebelling against, they captured Alaisy and kept her around in their diner under strict supervision. Despite being furious about her Uncle’s death, she did her best to calm herself down as much as she could. Regardless, her captors were already aware of her Force-sensitivity, their leader made it clear after smugly telling her that a rival family on Tratlaum ratted her out and they could fetch a pretty prize having a well-educated Force-sensitive girl as bargaining chip.
| | === Fighting Prowess === |
|
| |
|
| The diner she was imprisoned in was huge, meant to industrially supply loads of dock workers. Initially Alaisy was kept around to work on chores, however gradually she was introduced to the local band and put to work as a dancer. Her family never showed up or gave away any signs of dealing with the gang, but rather than sulk she made the most of the situation and even took over singing after a rowdy visitor shot the last vocalist.
| | Alaisy lives for challenges. They test her mettle and allow her to perfect herself as a Sith. She is no grand strategist or schemer who fights their wars in the safety of their capital ship or throne room. Battle is something personal for her and she always strives to gain more out of it, even if it means taking the longer, more difficult route. At times she savors the inevitable encounter with her opponent, perhaps long enough to develop mutual respect, a rivalry, or even friendship. But eventually, the day arrives when she will attempt to best them. Anyone in the path will be swept away or used as a tool to get to her prey. |
| | |
| | While she absolutely loves the thrill of combat—and can even grow fond of her adversary as pain is inflicted and received—she isn’t honorable. Aphotis will unashamedly use codes, principles, morality and a sense of honor against her foes. This means she will casually hurt bystanders to feel out a reaction, or assault someone in their weakest moment. But it also goes the other way. If she is defeated and offered a way out to fight again another day, she will take it, even if she doesn’t offer the same in return. This doesn’t mean she goes out of her way to murder anyone she lays her eyes on, she’s merely indifferent to inferiors. |
|
| |
|
| Occasionally when an interesting individual came into the diner she would initiate a conversation hoping to gain some info on what went on in the Galaxy and possibly pry someone of their holo-pad. Getting rid of them afterwards was the tough part, most of them were low-life’s looking for more than just a chat. If a customer went too far she would usually just call to one of the guards, hoping to desensitize a possible escape attempt in the future.
| | If given the chance she will measure her opponent and pre-calculate every blow she is going to administer multiple times like drawing out sketches beforehand. Everything about her is a weapon and it starts with her creative thinking. Her gloved hands have vibronails attached to them and blades run alongside her 10” heels. Sometimes she goes even further by adding sharpened tips to her tail and hair, even having spikes on her hair cuff. Versatile explosives line up her waist-belt or are hidden inside pockets under her backpack. Subtlety and defense are all thrown out in favor of pure offensive power. |
|
| |
|
| On a very quiet day with barely any patrons at the diner, an individual made a rather abrupt entrance. This man was different than the usual delinquents; he arrived by landing on his behind with his crew thrown inside with him. The music stopped and the diner fell silent as the smuggler stood up and was more concerned with dusting off his jacket than paying attention to angry stares from criminal goons, having blasters aimed at him and his crew. One of the bouncers was keen to inform the scruffy pilot that it was a mistake to land at their small port without a proper invitation and announced the rest of the black market thugs they would be searching their ship.
| | Tir’eivra displays an unmatched ferocity in her fighting style, often taking on animalistic martial stances as she draws on deep emotions and applies her experience in <span style="color:#4682b4;">Teräs Käsi</span>. Intense training in <span style="color:#4682b4;">K’thri</span> has added a rhythm and elegant, flowing motion to all of her dance-like movements. |
| | When it comes to weapon choices she will greatly prefer the whip and lightwhip. It takes full advantage of her incredible height and great strength. Her skills in the chaotically unpredictable style of Juyo are applied similarly when she uses the weapon. The same goes for Djem So as she leans in with her full weight with each swing. The whip gives her extra reach and it adds to her alluring and terrifying image. It also is a fantastic instrument capable of disarming her foes. |
|
| |
|
| After the majority of the mobsters left the diner, Alaisy took her chance to telekinetically pull over a glass and a bottle of liquor from the bar and fill it up for the stranded leader of the crew. She walked over to him casually and passed him the drink while eyeing the lone guard still at the door. The pilot introduced himself as Quancenn over a drink and smugly threw a few clever compliments at Alaisy, who in turn introduced herself and explained her own unfortunate situation of being captured.
| | She utilizes the same styles of fighting when she uses a lightsaber, be it single-handed, a lightwhip, or a saberstaff. Everything she does flows gracefully, contains bursts of raw energy, and is meant to devastate her opponent. The wildness she displays is extremely controlled, allowing her to pull back when it is required, while she can fully submerge herself in the battle again within a moment’s notice. |
|
| |
|
| The tall jet-black haired girl inconspicuously pointed at a lone guard still standing at the entrance, and explained to Quancenn that he holds the codes for a full locker of blasters situated next to the bar. She quietly explained that while they were busy rummaging through his ship, they could take the opportunity to arm themselves up and steal one of the docked black market ships at the other side of the docks. Quancenn nodded at her afterwards and took a couple more sips from his drink while watching Alaisy make a move towards the guard.

| Alaisy caught the attention of the guard and used the Force to trick him into giving her the codes, dismissing him from his post by telling the goon that Quance’s ship was rigged with explosives and he should hurry the frack up before his mates get themselves killed. Shortly after he blurted out the code he ran off towards the docks, even looking back and giving the girl a thumbs up.

| She hastily opened the locker after obtaining the pincode, noticing Quancenn talking with another man. The smuggler assured Alaisy that the person he was having a conversation with would be able to provide them with the means of taking the port-leader’s prized starship from under their nose.

| Alaisy gave the smuggler a nervous smile and eventually decided to toss over a couple of blasters at Quance’s crew. Immediately after, Alaisy, Quancenn and his crew armed themselves and made their way towards the eastern docks where a small but well maintained freighter was waiting for them. They blasted the two unsuspecting guards before boarding the ship and taking off.
| | === Early Life (14 ABY - 30 ABY) === |
|
| |
|
| | Alaisy Tir’eivra was born in 14 ABY in a family of <span style="color:#4682b4;">Imperial Remnants</span>. Her early years mostly consisted of learning survival and Imperial propaganda. Both of her parents, her mother Echoki Hanora, and her father Liancend Tir’eivra, were loyalists, serving the Empire as middling politicians on <span style="color:#4682b4;">Coruscant</span>. Their retreat from society led them to a remote, unappealing system. Piracy, unsafe travel conditions, and harsh environmental conditions had made it unpopular and the perfect place to hide. |
|
| |
|
| === Sightseeing (33 ABY - 37 ABY) ===
| | In her early life, she seemed to develop a great yearning for freedom and independence. Unlike her two sisters, Annaxa and Cemi, Alaisy needed a strict hand to guide her. And unlike her brother, Kesdan, she didn’t seem to be motivated much by competition, seeking an escape from her Imperial duties whenever she could. She was the youngest of the siblings and at that time also thin and frail. The only redeeming factor to her Imperial upbringing was that she reacted well to punishment. Every slap on her wrist, every lash on her back, and every insult thrown at her provided huge leaps in progress. Resentment sharpened her mind. Her reward was often a task that she had to perform outside of the remnant complex. The freedom gained made everything she had to endure worth it. |
|
| |
|
| After making her way out of the black market she spent several years on board of the now called “Torpid Laggard” and managed to convince Quancenn to visit the planet coordinates she had collected over time. “Quance” as she now called him, eagerly added his own coordinates to the ships computer and joined her search to find the ancient Sith planets.
| | ==== Tratlaum ==== |
|
| |
|
| The most significant visits were Mustafar, Takodana, Coruscant and Korriban. There were more mentioned planets, however they either lacked clear coordinates or were out of reach due to ongoing conflicts. During her time on the Torpid Laggard she became close friends with Quance and had ample time to develop her knowledge of the Force.
| | Her siblings were more content inside, wanting very little to do with Tratlaum’s harsh environment. They happily avoided the toxic gasses set free by the intense mining operations, the hostile flora and fauna, the greedy poachers, and of course the hopelessly dreary landscape. But in Alaisy’s mind, the purple-hued planet had its melancholic beauty. Pirate and poacher trade was a common occurrence between the remnant hideout, always laced with secrecy and threats. Some resources were claimed by multiple parties, causing the value of certain goods to surge as competition was fierce and scarcity ever increased. |
|
| |
|
| After being forced to avoid an asteroid field right after dropping from hyperspace they ended up having to scrape the edge of an ion storm, in which a lightning strike fried several capacitors and some of the ship’s weaponry. They decided to divert course to Nar Shaddaa in order to get their components fixed.
| | Excursions to extract extremely rare plant life or expensive ores were uncommon and fraught with danger. Only the rejected or convicted were sent out to retrieve them, and only with explicit directions and specialized equipment. To stimulate her education and motivation, Alaisy was given protective equipment, fitted together from the Imperial armory. Her uncle, Dogond was assigned as her guardian to teach her about the dangers and how to keep her essential tools in working condition. In her excitement she absorbed everything from him, often asking for more learning material than he could provide as she surveyed and explored the surroundings of their family’s surface complex. |
|
| |
|
| Upon arrival, the crew went in search of a local market so they could replace the broken parts, meanwhile leaving the engineer behind to watch over the ship. After purchasing what was needed they received a distress call from their engineer, apparently an armed group was trying to gain access to the ship hangar.
| | Being out in the harsh environment made her spend more time breathing through a mask than without. At one point she began keeping a half-mask on even inside of their home out of both comfort and familiarity. Her father seemed to think it kept her more quiet and obedient, so he encouraged it, even if it further alienated her from her siblings. Whenever she came back from one of her outings she was able to rapidly catch up on her missed training. The added financial benefits from her discoveries were a greater help to their community than her Imperial training. Enough reason to keep sending her out. |
|
| |
|
| Quance ordered his engineer to hide inside and lock himself within the ship’s cockpit; when the crew returned to the docks they were halted by a group of armed men, one of which was short and looked awfully like Alaisy’s captor back at the black market, looking older and more weathered than before.
| | ==== The Force ==== |
|
| |
|
| Standing right next to him was the bouncer that she humiliated; with on his left a tall, raven haired man with ashy eyes. When the tall man spoke up she instantly recognized him, it was her brother Kesdan. He egotistically announced himself, pointing out that they’d been tracking the Torpid Laggard ever since it entered Hutt Space, even priggishly adding that he was happy to see his sister again.
| | |
|
| |
|
| The little man prodded her brother, reminding him that they made a deal. In response Kesdan nodded soullessly in response. Without a hesitation he let the criminals have their way. The thugs immediately readied their guns and showered Quance’s crew with a cadre of blaster bolts. Two out of five of Quance’s crew were felled before even reaching cover, while it quickly became clear that the thugs were carefully avoiding Alaisy.
| | |
| | In their pragmatic community, she was viewed as the third daughter. Not someone of great value. Yet her life was still too precious to risk her falling into the hands of pirates and leaking information about their allegiance to the former Empire. Valuable technology they carried could fall into the wrong hands or they could endanger the possibility of ever reconnecting with other Imperial remnant factions. |
|
| |
|
| Ticked off, Alaisy extended both of her hands, focusing on the front row of thugs and pushed them backwards with the Force. Quance and his crew had their weapons at the ready, came out of cover and opened a salvo of blaster fire back at the thugs. The volley of blaster shots killed many of the thugs that were scrambling to get back up from the telekinetic attack.
| | A sudden revelation at the age of 8 of her Force sensitivity made the stakes much higher. A spat with her brother had ended a training session not meant for her. It broke the last bond with her parents and siblings. Within the complex, even mentioning the Force was strictly forbidden. Their Empire hunted Jedi and they as politicians had to spread a message of fear across the Galaxy when it was at its zenith. Galactic peace had been threatened by the Force, by Jedi, by Sith, and by anyone or anything sensitive to it. |
|
| |
|
| The large bouncer, un-phased by the bolts flying past his ears, clumsily threw a frag grenade at Quance’s crew. After hitting a pipe and bouncing off the wall, the radius following the detonation missed Quance, but swept away the remainder of his crew, including his co-pilot, who only just managed to fire a final shot at the bouncer before being pierced by shrapnel. That final shot hit the bouncer right in his face and landed him on top of his boss.
| | Ever since the incident she had been grounded, told to stay within the academic section. Alaisy was no longer allowed in any other parts of the establishment, or outside. She was permanently assigned to study under Dogond. At first, there was contempt, but it dissipated when he was finally able to show her a glimpse of what the Force could do. It intrigued her, especially the ancient tales of the Sith. It did not take long until she could manifest a fraction of their abilities. The Sith Code helped with that. Her uncle had tried, in vain, to get her to take an equal interest in Galactic history and tales of Jedi. Dogond was unable to keep up with her requests and thirst for knowledge. All of this happened in secret, and from time to time he slipped out with his shuttle to gather more material. |
|
| |
|
| Quance aimed his blaster at Kesdan to take a shot at him. Her brother deftly dodged the shot and returned a burst of fire. Quance shrieked in pain as one of the blaster bolts hit him in his upper right arm, dropping his blaster in the process.
| | Her impatience began to take dangerous forms, often manifesting in telekinetic abilities aimed at Imperial icons, artifacts, or servants unwilling to let her out. This led her uncle to seek permission to take Alaisy on excursions outside of the compound. At first, she was accompanied by her uncle and guards. Later just by herself. Missions were always limited to precious resource gathering so that their family and faction could benefit. The girl’s keen senses enhanced by the Force proved fruitful. Dogond was making fortunes on her behalf. There was one type of flora Alaisy was particularly good at finding, Tratlaum’s Bleeding Willow, living samples with bark and sap. |
|
| |
|
| Meanwhile the gangster boss crawled from underneath the bouncer’s corpse and aimed his pistol at Quance, who was scrambling to reach his blaster with his other hand. Alaisy saw a glimpse from the corner of her eye and pushed her brother aside so she could pull a throwing knife from her leg scabbard and take out the scumbag boss by landing it in his scruff. While Alaisy was going after her sweet revenge, among the bloodshed and corpses, the other two still standing were at an awkward stand-off.
| | ==== The Price of Freedom ==== |
|
| |
|
| Quance hastily grabbed his blaster and took no time to think until aiming it at Kesdan, desperately wanting to end the encounter and get off the Smuggler’s Moon. He fired furiously at Alaisy’s brother, but the aim with his off-hand was not enough to land him a decent shot on Kesdan who dodged every blast. Frustrated, Quance let out a hoarse growl that offered Kesdan enough time to aim, shoot and hit Quance square between the eyes. The awful thud of Quance dropping to the floor drew Alaisy’s attention from the slaughter she was inflicting on her target and let out a horrifying screech of dismay.
| | She tended to the tree carefully as she had always done. By making a diagonal cut and removing a sliver of bark. Like taking a blood sample, she harvested the milky-white fluid. The raven-haired girl learned how to tend to the plant, nurturing it by fertilizing the surrounding soil and using repurposed detoxifiers. She had been instructed to take different paths on her way home to avoid local natives or poachers from discovering the tree. While she had done her part honoring the mythical tree, the administrators of the Imperial Remnant complex had been negligent with covering the trail of credits. Increased trade in bark and tree sap caught the attention of criminal gangs surrounding Tratlaum’s orbit on various trading posts and space stations. A tribe of native witches had begun to assault scouting parties, both Imperial and Hutt-aligned. |
|
| |
|
| Running to the side of her now former friend, she knelt down beside him and gently told him her farewells. Frowning and frozen into place, Kesdan simply watched his sister’s grief with a strange worry creeping down his spine. He had underestimated her connection to Quance and now, as she was allowing herself but a moment of grief, he felt the undeniable concentration of energy that precedes the greatest storms.
| | Alaisy had only ever seen feminine shadows of the Osasdii witches. They often left behind offerings of blood or meat at the base of the tree. She always administered the blood around the roots of the plant, and let the meat mold away to grow a common, fluorescent, variant of Tratlaum fungi. It had been almost instinctual to do so and it seemed to please both the tribe and the rather particular tree. Her Force sensitivity had given her the ability to subtly tap into the senses of rare living flora and fauna around her. Whenever she did good, it felt pleasing and if she cut the bark too deeply it stung her. |
|
| |
|
| With slight hesitation in his voice he announced to his lost sister that it was now finally time to go home. As if waking from a half-nightmare, Alaisy shifted her gaze from the corpse to her brother. Her eyes burned deep with fury and hatred as she fixated her eyes into her brother’s. Taken a little by surprise from the intensity of her emotions, he gasped slightly, trying hard not to fall prey to fear.
| | ==== Two Deaths One Life ==== |
|
| |
|
| She rose slowly to her feet and made a few steps towards Kesdan who seemed frozen into place by her will. The silence suddenly exploded with an eruption of lightning snaking down Alaisy’s arms and bolting towards Kesdan hitting him square in the chest. The intensity made his entire body spasm, with his eyes rolling back into their sockets as he screamed in agony.
| | Things went well until one day she heard the news at the Imperial Complex. A squad of scouts had been ambushed by arrows of pure plasma. Dogond had warned her not to go, but Alaisy was afraid both the tree and the witches would not be pleased if she stayed. So she had left with a stun-gun in hand. The lack of Imperial presence increased the boldness of criminals. She was greeted by destroyed wicker baskets when she arrived at the Bleeding Willow. Burnt marks from blast bolts stained the tree. She felt the pulsing tree’s pain through her own legs. Regardless she performed her ritual, and repurposed the contents of the baskets. Some of the sap she tapped from the tree was applied by her own hands on the still smoldering bark. It seemed to soothe it even as her own hands burnt through the protective gloves. |
|
| |
|
| A few short moments passed and everything became deathly quiet again. Stunned and hurting, Kesdan fell to his knees in front of Alaisy. Standing over him, her hands into fists, with an authority he had never seen before, she hissed at him. | | The Force had warned her. It came from the tree itself. A band of poachers and prospectors had returned after an attempt at chasing an Osasdii witch. The vision faded slowly like syrup, too slowly, taking her a lot of effort to pull away. A sharp pain seared through her abdomen as she turned around. A Rodian thug stared soullessly at her, with many other shapes behind it. She saw a blade sticking through her as she peered down. Tir’eivra could feel the tree’s anger and fear more than her own pain as her vision blurred. The poacher lifted up its boot and placed it on her shoulder, pulling the blade out and pushing her against the roots of the Bleeding Willow. |

In a matter of minutes emerald light lit up the rocky valley as energy bows slaughtered the poachers. The witch they had chased came back with an entire tribe. Vigor flowed between the tree and the black-haired girl, both dying, searching for a way to stay alive together. Scarlet and silver glowed in emerald as the Nightsisters worked their Magicks to save them. In a way neither did. |

They crumpled into black paper just as soon as they had appeared. Buckets of tree sap had tumbled over her, infused with Magick. She was looking down at herself from above, and the Willow's giant spirit was right next to her. They shared their thoughts and pain and emotions, one slow, one fast, one old and one young. They heard the chanting and witnessed Osasdii rituals. And then they were pulled back to the ground. Magick infused sap and blood seeped into Alaisy’s corpse. Wounds mended and two spirits now resided in one body. |

Dogond was murdered in front of her as she became a bargaining chip that was kept close at hand. Captured and aware of her Force sensitivity, she endured captivity. For a significant amount of time, her life consisted of providing entertainment by dancing and singing in front of patrons. She eventually befriended a smuggler named Quancenn. - "I do not forget and I do not forgive."
- ―Alaisy “Aphotis” Tir’eivra
A harbinger of chaos that serves herself first, so much so that she forfeits the Rule of Two. In that sense—despite the era that she was born in—Alaisy Tir'eivra is a very traditional Sith, following the code as they did before the Sith Lord Darth Bane made his mark on the ancient Order.
Her harrowing, enigmatic appearance demands attention, while Tir'eivra's tenebrific aura tends to fill the space around her. She has garnered a reputation of utter ruthlessness and occupies a diplomatic niche in situations where fear and intimidation are key.
Corruption, caused by her deep immersion into the Dark Side of the Force may have been one reason for her unnatural height. The symbiosis and merging with her suit halted her growth and helped to mend the cycle of damage the dark energies caused to her body. The integration of the memories and plant-like properties of her symbiote makes it difficult to determine whether Alaisy is still even Human, especially with her alopecia treated, Ryn-spliced tail.
In the end, it is all part of Tir'eivra's ultimate goal of self-perfection through trials and self-set milestones. It meshes with Sith ideology, and it is the route she takes to get there that makes it unique. She has bestowed the Sith name of 'Aphotis' upon herself, using it as a challenge for other Sith to test their mettle against her.
Description
Personality & Interests
While Alaisy draws deeply from the Sith Code, it is her love for trials and challenges that push her further.
Alaisy has had the full blessing from a sect of Nightsisters and had her symbiotic blood infused with Magick.
Appearance
Tir'eivra has very pale, soft, white skin lacking any scarring on her body. Strangely it has very few, if any, pores or hairs, and her veins are set deeper. Her shiny, black tail is about 140 centimeters long (4'6") and connects to her spine in a smooth gradient at her back.
Her raven hair is almost as shiny as the latex she wears.
Smaller lettering in ur-Kittât on the large circles shows the pilgrimages she has made to important dark nexi.
Lastly, her eyeliner has been tattooed on permanently by Sith Pincerbugs. Meant to be permanent and excruciatingly painful, this further shows her devotion to embodying beauty and terror.
Apparel, Design, and Philosophy
Alchemical Second Skin
- "In the end, both perished, for one greater lifeform to emerge. The symbiote is part of every fiber in my body and soul, it is me as much as the little raven-haired girl."
- ―Alaisy “Aphotis” Tir’eivra
Tir’eivra’s Alchemical Suit is a living garment, made of solidified, milky white liquid, that functions as her second skin, and when fully extended covers more surface area than her primary biological skin. Made of epithelial cells with large amounts of isoprene, it can be classified as an organ, as it is a collection of tissues that serve similar functions.
Speech & Mannerisms
Tir'eivra speaks and behaves with upper-class etiquette. She rarely lies and her presence tends to draw attention. Because she's often seen wearing a mask, she uses her long, black tail to convey her emotional state to others. If it stands up straight it likely means a state of alertness or a sign of aggression, whereas if it is seen swinging calmly from side to side it often means Alaisy is in a good state of mind and may behave more amicable towards someone.
Fighting Prowess
Tir’eivra displays an unmatched ferocity in her fighting style, often taking on animalistic martial stances as she draws on deep emotions and applies her experience in Teräs Käsi. Intense training in K’thri has added a rhythm and elegant, flowing motion to all of her dance-like movements.
Talents in the Force
- "I don’t think I’d want to see what kind of life a Sith would create. If you could even call it that."
- ―Teon Sul
Being an Arcanist and a proficient alchemist, she tracks her prey and can afford herself breaks between rigorous combat by pulling at the fabrics of The Living Force. She seldom holds back when tapping into the Dark Side of the Force and seamlessly weaves in destructive powers with her martial techniques.
She often sets the tenebrous tone by drawing from her Garden of Trepidations, assaulting her opponent’s hopes and morale. Sowing fear is what Alaisy does freely, blending it with her enigmatic appearance. The Sith leans heavily on intimidation when dealing with diplomacy, rarely taking a milder approach. It would be a grave mistake to send her on a peaceful mission as most of her victims will be left with permanent trauma or maddening panic attacks when she accomplishes what she set out to do. Her deeply rooted pessimistic nature can also negatively affect the morale of anyone she works with.
While she has incredible talents in her ability to heal others, it always comes at a great cost. Tir’eivra needs a living source first. Vigor drawn from others is twisted and malformed into chaotic, dark energy. This is then siphoned into the host, ruthlessly pulling together or growing tissues like a writhing tumor. The process is immensely painful and traumatizing. Engorging on another is an addicting process for Alaisy as her alchemical skin feasts upon the energies and makes her want more. The act of feeding can sometimes cause strange side effects, like a temporary state of pure bliss.
Character History
Early Life (14 ABY - 30 ABY)
Alaisy Tir’eivra was born in 14 ABY in a family of Imperial Remnants. Her early years mostly consisted of learning survival and Imperial propaganda. Both of her parents, her mother Echoki Hanora, and her father Liancend Tir’eivra, were loyalists, serving the Empire as middling politicians on Coruscant. Their retreat from society led them to a remote, unappealing system. Piracy, unsafe travel conditions, and harsh environmental conditions had made it unpopular and the perfect place to hide.
The Force
- "Sith know that they have to go all-in to achieve greatness. Half-measures are a death sentence."
- ―Uncle Dogond Tir’eivra
In their pragmatic community, she was viewed as the third daughter. Not someone of great value. Yet her life was still too precious to risk her falling into the hands of pirates and leaking information about their allegiance to the former Empire. Valuable technology they carried could fall into the wrong hands or they could endanger the possibility of ever reconnecting with other Imperial remnant factions.
The Price of Freedom
Two Deaths One Life
Things went well until one day she heard the news at the Imperial Complex.
Sap she had harvested and used to mend the bark mixed with her blood. Crimson and milky white dripped over the roots as the poachers tore the bark apart and began filling containers with it. Shockwaves traveled through the The Living Force as it rippled across the planet.
Crimson blossoms sprouted from the hanging blackened branches for the first time. Petals spotted with glimmering green. A wondrous display that hadn’t occurred for centuries.
The Osasdii Tribe
The Osasdii Nightsisters had taken the two spirits in one body under their wing. It took months before Alaisy was strong enough to walk and talk again. She had massively grown in length and a layer had formed over her pale natural skin. White and translucent, parts of the flaky, rubbery substance turned black over time. She learned the Osasdii Clan’s rituals and customs. Mother Blagachis Berroz taught her how to hunt and told her of the spirit residing in the planet’s core. The witches believed the planet itself was sentient and that they called her Osasdii. It was now part of Tir’eivra and they despised the invaders infesting and destroying the purple planet.
Her Force sensitivity and Sith teachings had proven to antagonize some of the younger Clan-members. When she witnessed a ritualistic offering ceremony to Osasdii she was asked to participate in the event and managed to hunt down a Bane Back Spider. One of their tribe accused her of stealing their kill, so they were forced into a duel. Alaisy managed to trick the mind of the pupil by use of the Force, causing them to trip into the spider's saliva, burning her opponent with the baneback acid. Despite the underhandedness, they celebrated her victory and demanded from Alaisy that she learn about the whole ritual. Afterwards, she was told to return to her life at the Imperial stronghold and come back for her Magick inauguration when she comes of age.
Homecoming
The way back was not without hitches, but her experience and training made the dangerous journey possible. When she arrived at the Imperial Remnant complex it wasn’t the welcoming that she hoped for. Her transformation made it difficult to even prove to her parents and Imperial overseers that she was still the same third daughter. She was now towering above her brother and sisters, even if she was the youngest. A strange, black skin-like material had been growing over her back. Only with the help of her uncle Dogond did she gain entry back into her old life. Genetic tests confirmed his faith in her, helped by his motivation to resume her studies under him, returning the favor of all the wealth he accumulated thanks to her.
It was more difficult for the black-haired girl to refrain from mentioning anything regarding the Osasdii tribe. She did tell them about the tree dying, destroying her chances of visiting the outside world. In the end, she did her best to hide her powers and experience, knowing nothing good would come of it. Life would turn stale incredibly fast after having tasted freedom. Her first idea would be to sit it out for a while until she could hitch a ride on one of Dogond’s trips to one of the orbiting trading posts.
Dogond’s Folly
Alaisy Tir’eivra's plan to escape her mundane life ran into the ground when her uncle discovered that she was hiding in the cargo department of his shuttle on its way to Port Deonor’s Black Market. Smugglers had taken notice of them via security cameras and set up an ambush. Alaisy’s instinctive use of the Force had put them both on public display. Together, they escaped from the black market and embarked on a journey to explore the mythical planets that she had heard so much about from Dogond.
Their travels lead them to Nar Shaddaa, where Alaisy caught up with her brother, Kesdan, and the Black Market criminals who once captured her confront them. In a violent showdown, Quancenn's crew was decimated, and Alaisy discovered her brother's betrayal and his attempt to bring her back in the fold. Grieving the loss of Quancenn, Alaisy blasted Kesdan with a devastating bolt of lightning, leaving him wounded in her wake. In the aftermath, Kesdan, defeated and broken, learned that Alaisy was no longer coming back. The only people who deserved her attention on Tratlaum were the Osasdii Tribe, but even they could wait.
Character Relationships
Zaagnika "Zag" Umangi
The relationship between the Human and Zygerrian is a strange one. Zag is often at odds with the Sith, following a philosophy centered around the Living Force. Alaisy finds Zaagnika a curious oddity who proves herself to be an invaluable pilot as well. On rare occasions, Tir'eivra's behavior seems to be motherly towards the Zygerrian, giving her tasks, or trials and giving her unsolicited feedback in conclusion. Alaisy has often rescued Zag from precarious situations, with life lessons and subservience as payment.
