Background
Coratua IV was the main site of a conflict between the Brotherhood, and a group of Pirates who were preparing to use the supply cache's against surrounding systems. before that, the system had then been on the charts of the brotherhood, but never explored.
Scrying of the Grand Master brought the coming situation to the attention of Adept Korras, then the Obelisk High Commander. After brief deliberation, it was decided that the Brotherhood would strike, before the pirate group would be able to activate the droids in force.
After one month of conflict, and a large amount of deaths (mostly those of Journeymen), the planet was taken. The spoils of War were divided amongst the clans, and the Grand Master, Lord Cotelin, left Korras in command, as Governor. Under his command, the Droid factories on the planet were reactivated, and several other planets in the system explored. It turned out that two of the planets in the system were very rich in resources, and converted to mining worlds.
Current Status
Now, the system is one of the largest suppliers of the Brotherhood. One mining world is rich in fuels, including Uranium, and the other is mostly supplying metals. Clans requiring resources, or Droids are charged the cost of production / mining, plus a small fee, which is then shared between the Grand Master, and the Governor. Even with that fee, the supplies from Coratua are a lot cheaper then that acquired on the open market.
The Droids constructed on Coratua are usually of the Combat variant. A low amount of Crew droids have been produced, and delivered to selected Dark Jedi.
Defense
The Vae Victus is permanent guard duty in the system, usually accompanied by two Acclamator Cruisers. The latter are usually kept out of combat, instead used as transport vessels to ship resources to the clans.
