Character History

5 ABY--A Warrior's Birth

Arkania Prime

31 years ago, 5 ABY, in a small town on the edge of the vast tropical expanse of Arkania Prime, Xan Phraz-Etar was born. His father worked at the local trading outpost overseeing the import and export of various supplies and materials, and his mother worked as a logistics technician in the same outpost.

Xan's Practice Sword

Xan's upbringing was a very quiet, fortunate one. His parents made quite a comfortable amount of money, so Xan really had no issues to worry about. In general, Xan spent his mornings reading through books dealing with war strategies and swordsmanship, and spent his afternoons practicing the very same techniques he read earlier that morning. Xan was always anxiously awaiting his father to come home from work as he was his sparring partner...and posed quite a significant challenge compared to the tree he often practiced his techniques on. Xan didn't really have many friends in his peers. Most of the kids in Xan's age group liked other things, so there was very little to associate with if opportunity presented itself. Being alone didn't bother him, he simply viewed it as an opportunity to learn and explore.

It was something he noticed while sparring with his father...something he couldn't quite explain. As he blocked sweeps and blows from his father's sword, Xan could faintly see it before it happened. This caused him to have much quicker reflexes than his father, and to have precognitive visions of where his father would block. Because of this, he could easily counter-attack and land hits, easily outmatching his father's swordsmanship skills. It was something he tried to explain to his parents, but this information was met with intrigue and encouragement. They understood he had an affinity to the Force, and knew Jedi often passed through the trading post nearby.
