Sol'Vida Farm is a family farm on Kasiya that's mainly run by Lulaire.

General Info

The oral history in the Sol'Vida family was slowly misinterpreted and translated differently over time, no one in the family really knows when their farm was established. Its main focus is animal breeding and husbandry, and farming crops. The family works with other farms and keep a long documentation of the animals to make sure to avoid any crossbreeding. Sol'Vida's members continue to provided the best feed, care, and love to the animals.

The inside joke with the Family being mostly Firrerreo species who are known for their love of meat was that they will guarantee the best quality meat from their farm.

Bonfire Event

On third Zhellday of every month, the family hosts a massive bonfire with the meats they themselves butchered and harvest. Sometimes it would be open for public, other times it's just the family and close friends of the family.

Petting Zoo Event

On first Primeday of every month, the farm hosts petting zoo that was always open for public. They also can cater to private events if you contact one of the members.

Not all animals on the land can be used for Petting Zoo Event due to their temperaments.

Land

The land currently has ten houses scattered throughout. There's a fence surrounding the boarders to provide the animals free range and to keep them from getting lost. The fence was constantly monitored by the means of technology that Grymiir set up and during routine checks by the members of the farm incase technology failed. Due to the climate of Kasiya, the ground had proven to be difficult to grow crops so the family has not yet have any crops save for the ones that are being grown in the greenhouse on the South of the land.

The territory provides everything you would find in a free range farm. Animals, trees, wild vegetation, bugs, and so on forth. There are a few hidden security measures scattered throughout.

The butchering alone takes place elsewhere to avoid bad smells during Sol'Vida's bonfire and petting zoo events.

Main House

The Main house can be found in almost center of the land to help the other families to have access to it. When it's time for events, people can be escorted to the main house by their choice of transportation, such as hay rides, a mount, or even big ol' slow tractor.

The Main House was a barn converted into a house. The first floor was open space and used for tables or setting up small pens to prepare for petting zoo. The second floor has guests room for guests that are invited to stay but generally not used because the events are not meant to exceed to the next sun rise.

Behind the main house has an outside fencing for bigger animals that's involved in the petting zoo. To the west of the Main house has one of the many barns for animals that needs to be stalled.

Lulaire's House

To the east of the land, Lulaire had selected the location for three main reasons. It was close to the Springs, the rivers, and the privacy it provides. It was easy to see inside of her home due to the almost coverage of windows. The porch was empty save for one handmade leather chair.

Inside, you would noticed it's mainly empty with doors and massive windows wide open. There's no living room furniture. In the 'living room' area there's a massive thick rug to help capture the dirt, reduce echo sounds, and for Lulaire's companions and sometimes farm or wild animals, to sleep on. In the kitchen, the countertops are made of real wood. The appliances she has are a fridge and a stone sink. Her bedroom consists of two king sized bed, one obviously has a circler dent in the center of it. Her bathroom is simple with wooden counters, another stone sink, a toilet, and an open shower area.

A Few Family Members

The family members have their own houses that fit their needs and it's scattered across the land. It also helps with the protection of the land and keeping a watchful eye of the herd while letting them free roam in a way.

Hakanai and Shu

Hakanai

Hakanai was currently the oldest on the Farm and was the one mainly responsible with the Farm while Lulaire's away. Quiet and keeps to herself, Hakanai was the one you can count on for anything on the farm. Lulaire and her work very well as farm hands and business partners.

Hakanai also let her twins run around free as she always believed in that people learn best from their mistakes but when the twins gets too much, Hakanai and Lulaire are both known to have the perfect 'mother' look down to get the twins straighten up.

Hakanai's companion, Shu, personality was similar to Hakanai. He keeps to himself and doesn't generally like strangers so he keeps his distance from them. He's the laziest of all animals on the farm but he's the most ferocious.

Hakanai's home was a two story mixed with stone and wood. Upon entry, there would be a massive sectional couches to fit the members of the family and some of their companions up against the left wall. There's a rug to provide comfort to the feet around the sectional furniture. On the right has a wooden dining room table filled with old scratches and teeth marks on the legs and chairs. The kitchen has a big wooden island with enough room to cook a food that consist two teenagers with blackhole stomachs. The counters are also wooden with stone sink. Past the kitchen would have stairs that go up and a hallway that leads to the main bedroom that belongs to Hakanai.

Upstairs has an open loft bedroom with rugs and separated twin beds made for the twins, Vilenna and Alexenna.

Vilenna and Po
Alexenna and Tator

Vilenna and Alexenna

The twins Vilenna and Alexenna are a good example of double trouble. Young and rumbustious, they usually cause more chaos instead of doing their actual farm jobs. However, their favorite farm labor was rounding up the herd along side with their canines, so the pair of them are not usually seen on the grounds cause they would be out on the land with the herds.

Their dogs, Po and Tator, has similar personalities to the twins. They constantly get into things they should not be, chewing things they should not be, and just causing overall chaos. Yet, just like the twins, when it was time to round up the herd or do their job, Po and Tator exceeds their jobs very well without harm to the herd and themselves.

The twins live with their mother, Hakanai.

Grymiir

Grymiir

As a baby, Grymiir was left by a fence at Sol'Vida farm on Selen. Luckily, the family had found him before he was eaten by one of the animals. Lulaire's parents had decided to take him in. The family assumed he's some kind of Ryn-hybrid but no one knows of his heritage or why he was left at a fence to die. Unlike his sister, Grymiir showed quick talents with technology and mechanics. He's responsible for keeping the droids updated and the machinery that the family do use, running. Grym jokingly keeps Lula away from his workshop and anything that runs because of Lula's bad luck towards them. He's very adept at slicing and is the one working with Zig to keep Lula's datapad drawer filled with the constant breakage she does.

His 'home' was on the west side of the land. The actual home itself is on top of a workshop. The first floor of the workshop is full of machinery parts scattered everywhere.

Azarea

Azarea

Azarea is a member of the Sol'Vida Farm. She's in charge of the greenhouse that lays south of the Land. Due to it being her main project, her home is right by it. Azarea is a kind and friendly personality, constantly asking questions and has a hard time understanding where the boundaries are so sometimes she ask uncomfortable questions without meaning to.

Her home is a small cabin with four small windows that was usually closed by curtains. Inside, it's simple and minimalistic. Outside of her windows has box planters with various flowers that can grow in the Kasiya climate. Around her home save for front of the steps has different bushes and flowers that are well trimmed.

Animals

The farm has many varieties of creatures. Most are free ranged, but a few needs to be stalled but do get turned out daily depending on the weather. There are a few other animals around to help control the pest that can damage the feed or make the animals sick. The farm does have some guard creatures to protect the land and its animals.

  • Bantha - Massive creatures and normally found north of the land due to less abundance of trees. They are used for hide and meats.
  • Bordok - Normally have a decent-sized pen for eight to ten of them at a time. They are usually used for any Ewoks that may move to Kasiya or were generally used in petting zoo at fairs and festivals.
  • Kod'yok - A small herd that usually hang out near the main house and its barn. They are used for the furs, hides for leather, food, and their dung can be used as an emergency fuel source as well.
  • Narglatch - They are seen around the farm but they generally try not to breed too many of them due to their ferocious and sometimes eating their own animals. They are used for guarding of the land.
  • Nerfs - Nerfs are one of the main group of animals on the farm. They are bred for their milk, meat, antlers, and hides.
  • Orbak - Orbaks are used by Sol'Vida family to do herd jobs. They are bred in purpose for mounts and petting zoo.
  • Robas - A few pens have Robas. They are mainly used for petting zoo and meats.
  • Tauntaun - Recently added to the farm due to its tolerance to farm's sub-artic climate. They are mainly used for mounts and guarding.
  • Tuggle - One of the feline animals seen roaming around in barns and sometimes outside of barns. They mainly help with pest control to protect the animals feed.
  • Targon - The farm's first defense alongside with Tusk-Cats and Narglatches. They are the ones that's seen roaming around with the herds than the lands like the others. The Targons are less feral than the other two and will allow you pet them if you have good intentions.
  • Tusk Cat - can be seen roaming on the lands but not often. They are one of the farm's first defense to protect the herds.
  • Voorpak - With their sharp teeth, the Voorpaks are also used for pest control in barns especially in areas where Tuggles are unable to reach.
  • Vulptax - One of the many creatures the family rescued. They are wonderful recon creatures, alerting the family if something was wrong, and great pest control as well.

Crops

Due to the hard soil and new environment, the South of land do not have crops yet. Azarea's currently learning from other locals and trying small plots before they go big. Meanwhile, they do have a greenhouse and are currently growing some vegetables and fruit to provide their small building farm.
