Personality and Appearance

Personality and Hobbies

Skiivit, for the most part, is you average Trandoshan. She is overly aggressive and extremely strong, a combination which has caused her squad mates to turn down placing any form of bet with her. She holds an almost fanatical devotion to the Scorekeeper to the point where all of her actions are aimed at gaining Jagganath points. She has been known to disobey orders - much to her superior’s dismay - when she feels that they may result in her being captured, fearing that her life may be deemed forfeit in her goddesses eyes.

She views Wookiees as game animals and the bulk of her child hood - and leave from her squadron - partaking in Wookiee hunts on Kashyyyk. While not Xenophobic, Skiivit will not tolerate the presence of Wookiees - unless skinned and adorning her wall.

Skiivit is stubborn and strong willed to the point where new Dark Jedi struggle to use any mind control abilities on her.

Appearance

Skiivit is a tall reptilian biped. Her scales are green bordering on grey and are shed once every standard year. Her eyes are fiery orange split by horizontal pupils and allow her to see into the infrared spectrum. Taller and slimmer than the average Trandoshan, she has an athletic build.

Her head is crowned by three ridges and no hair grows from it. All four of her limbs end in sharp claw and, as with all Trandoshans she is able to regenerate body parts.

History

The Early Years

Skiivit was born on Trandosha in 2 BBY to two Wookiee slavers. From a young age she was taught the skills needed to hunt the physically superior creatures that inhabited their neighbor planet. Her parent instilled in her the greatest belief in the Trandoshan goddess, the Scorekeeper which today is still the core of her belief system.

From her fifth birthday her parents took her on hunting expeditions on Kashyyyk and even on their slaving runs. Her taste for blood deepened with every kill and increasing favor with the Scorekeeper.

She learnt to fly small freighters thanks to her parent’s eagerness to let her pilot vessels containing Wookiee slaves and pelts between star systems. Later she was utilised in starfighters, flying escort for the various freighters her family made use of. Though very few of her species believed it, Skiivit thought that flying with skill in difficult situations earned a number of Jagganath points, especially when done while transporting dead or captured prey.

Trandosha to Yridia IX

For many years Skiivit trained in the various ships used by her family in trading Wookiee slaves and racking up points with the Scorekeeper. She believed that by her 20th birthday that her total was possibly nearing her fathers.

Her comfortable, and familiar, life was shaken to the core when a freighter she was piloting to one of her many clients in the mid rim was boarded by a New Republic force that had been infesting the sector to try and eliminate the slave trade industry.

Her parents, and crew, stood up against the New Republic boarding party; defending what they believed to be their traditional right to hunt. Skiivit, however, understanding that resisting resistance could only result in being killed or captured; effectively resetting her tremendous score. Instead, she decided to preserve her score and snuck aboard the New Republic cruiser, hiding in amongst the goods stored within the hold. She managed to sustain herself there for a week, or more, before she took her chance to escape as a transport was preparing to leave.

Having over powered the crew, she blasted her was off of the ship and making a short hyperspace jump before the cruiser could figure out what had happened and lock her in their tractor beam. The jump ended after only 30 minutes and through the viewport could see only a dark planet; the navigation computer informing her that she had arrived in the Yridia system.

The Tarentum Navy

Skiivit landed on the surface of Yridia IX after some intensive questioning from space port officials of Eden City regarding the ID codes the shuttle was transmitting. Almost instantly she was approached by a shady character mentioning the opportunity of a life time; enlisting in the Tarentum Navy. She waved the man away, scoffing initially at the idea of enlisting with a military.

News soon reached her, confirming the death of her parents. She wasn’t able to cry, but her eyes showed the deep sadness that settled over her.

Several days later the shady character approached her again, inside the bar that had quickly become her “local.” He offered her the opportunity to amass an extraordinary amount of points with her patron and free reign to return to Kashyyyk to hunt whenever feasible. She signed up then and there, the memory of her parents still fresh in her mind, but her thirst for blood stronger than ever.

Ninth Great Jedi War

Skiivit completed all of her officer training and was commissioned the rank of Ensign just prior to the Ninth Great Jedi War. She was assigned to the M/CRV Cerberus, serving as Windos Helkin Tarentae’s Executive Officer during the war.

Windos had nothing but praise for his XO, which - after the destruction of the Cerberus - resulted in Skiivit’s promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade and being reassigned to command Flight Traiana of Rapax Squadron.
