NILDEA VIDH is an Orator for Clan Odan-Urr's Vatali Empire and Jedi Order. She serves as one of the many intermediary forces between the two halves of the clan. Born force sensitive, she specializes in using illusions and mind trickery. She is the eldest child out of eight and was previously in line to take over House Vidh once her parents died. She has since been removed from the line of succession much to her parent's dismay.

Personality

Nildea appears cold and spoiled to anyone who doesn't truly know her-- and those people could be counted on one hand. Outwardly, she seems like any other rich Sephi noble. She complains about things being too low quality, fusses over her appearance, and insults anyone who so much as breathes in her direction. She is bitter and rude and believes herself better than anyone else.

In reality, Nildea is a broken woman. While certainly not a saint, Nildea is kinder at her core than she lets on. She pays people fair wages, makes sure they have the proper healthcare to live healthy lives, and will skew things behind the cover of shell companies to help people in need. She has a soft spot for children, having raised seven siblings, and is popular amongst the younglings at the Praxeum for how often she spoils them. In fact, children are the only hole in her sense of self-preservation. In a situation where Nildea would have otherwise cut her losses and disappeared, if a child is involved, she will go against her gut instinct to flee until she makes sure the child (or children) in the situation are also safe.

Though she does have some good in her, Nildea is still ultimately selfish. She will put her well being above anyone else (with a few exceptions). This comes from a lifetime of having to protect herself from everyone-- including her own family.

Nildea is highly intelligent and analytical; very few things make it past her. However, she is also quick to jump to believing the worst case scenario in any situation until otherwise proven wrong. If it's not an 100% assured victory, she will not settle or believe the battle is over until it is. She is also highly paranoid after repeated attempts on her life, and never drinks from an already open bottle. Nildea will also wait a good three minutes after everyone else has started consuming their food to make sure hers isn't poisoned.

Shopping Addiction

Nildea will spend money like there is no end to it. Even after loosing her family's vast fortune, the Sephi woman will go out of her way to buy what she wants no matter the cost. She uses shopping instead of therapy, and was well known to stomp through Essadan's shopping district whenever something upset her.

Alcoholism

Nildea is always drunk. Always. There is not a time you will not find her without some kind of alcoholic beverage in her hand. She self medicates using alcohol to help dull the deep depression and trauma she suffers from. When without some sort of alcoholic drink for an extended period of time, she becomes visibly irritated and irate-- an absolute nightmare to deal with and completely irrational. Physical Description

Body

Nildea is a Sephi woman with a fairly average build, sporting hair the color of polished copper and crystalline blue eyes. Her skin is pale and blemish free, almost transparent in nature. Across her body lies a patchwork of rose-gold tattoos, ranging from golden snakes wrapping around her arms, to false rose-gold rings on her fingers, and smoke-like designs etched in rose-gold across her back. Nildea often wears several different types of piercings on both her pointed ears, as well as one piercing placed on her lip. Her hair is worn down, flowing down her back and shoulders like sheets of silk that reach the back of her shins. Her voice is soft and gentle, carrying an aristocratic lilt. Her accent speaks to the fact that she has lived a majority of her life in Essadan on Kiast.

Clothing

Having lived the last few years in vast wealth, Nildea's fashion choices show it. She wears extravagant clothing in shades of white, black, gold, and rose gold. She always wears the latest fashion. She often leans more towards maximalist clothing, although there are some outfits she wears that are more minimalist in nature. Nildea almost always wears her long hair down, though isn't beyond styling it up if the situation calls for it. The Sephi woman will often spend weeks researching the latest fashion for an outing and will make sure her outfit correlates accordingly, even if she doesn't agree that the outfit is what she considers "fashionable". (EI; wearing punk fashion to the party celebrating the appointment of Darth Renatus as the Brotherhood's Grand Master in 44 ABY even though she hates punk/alternative fashion.)

Family and Royal House

House Vidh

House Vidh is one of the newest of the Vatali royal houses. A true rags from riches story, House Vidh used to be lowly merchants scraping by. No one had even heard of their name before the patriarch, Olle, began collecting influence amongst other merchants. Originally, the family started with just trading jewelry, but quickly rose to other trades as well. Though jewelry still makes up a good deal of their trade, it was their expansion into the entertainment industry that garnered them their fortune.

House Vidh owns many casinos, resorts, hotels, and pleasure houses across the galaxy. They obtained their royal status in 42 ABY and made a fortune off of Vatali Empire citizens wanting an escape from the horrors of the war with the Quermia people.

Olle and Zaeryi Vidh

Parents

Olle Vidh

Olle is the patriarch of House Vidh and the husband to Zaeryi Vidh. Any names of any prior patriarchs of the family have been erased from their lineage, as Olle believes they didn't do anything to help raise the family from the ashes. Olle is a cold and calculating man with an icy exterior despite his sun-bright copper hair. Olle is willing to do anything to keep his family's fortune, vowing to never let them ever need a single thing ever again. To these ends, he'd even kill. Olle used to be a jeweler, but has since abandoned the trade since his family has risen to prominence. Now, he spends his days basking in opulance.

Zaeryi Vidh

Zaeryi is as cold and calculating as her husband, Olle. Born middle-class, Zaeryi is who first put the idea to raise the Vidh family from poverty. Shrill and commanding, Zaeryi is the harshest towards the family's hired slaves and even harsher to her children who are slated to take the noble house over once they die. Zaeryi doesn't settle for anything less than perfection-- both in everything her family does and the way they appear. It is not uncommon for her to physically punish her children in front of an audience for not meeting her expectations... though the woman seems to fear her eldest child, Nildea, for unknown reasons.

Siblings

Vesril Vidh

The eldest son of House Vidh and the second eldest child. Vesril is perhaps the coldest and most vicious out of all of the possible heirs of House Vidh, and has attempted to take Nildea's life several times over the years-- for which his sister mocks him relentlessly about his failures. Vesril takes care of the family's finances and accounting. He has a fondness for poisonous or carnivorous plants and keeps several in his own luxury flat in Essadan.

Adi Vidh

The smartest of the Vidh children, Adi has no interest in inheriting the family's fortune and instead makes his parents proud by studying day and night with the Jedi that occupy Kiast. Unlike his sister, he finished his Jedi training and obtained the rank of Jedi Knight. He is a Jedi Consular and focuses on ancient Jedi texts.

Janve Vidh

Janve has focused his sights on the family's recent expansion into wine making. He handles everything about this venture, from the selection of locations to grow ingredients, to what the quality standards are, to the safety of the workplaces where unpaid slaves create the wine itself. The label of the wine is "Crystal Force" wine, which leans towards the fact that the entire family is force sensitive and several of his siblings are Jedi or Jedi-adjacent. The quality of the wine is debated and there are several rumors about missing workers.

Zozri Vidh

Zozri is the jewelry maker of the family after the art was abandoned by his father. Zozri handles making expensive custom jewelry pieces for Vatali royals and other elite members of the galaxy. His most famous piece is encrusted with kyber crystals that change color depending on the latent force within a person-- or that's what he tells people. Rumors have come from Jedi and other force sensitives that the jewels in those pieces are not kyber, and even if they were, Kyber crystals don't react like that. Still, the pieces sell for a high price and there's no signs of it slowing down.

Emris Vidh

Emris handles the family's gambling ventures and rubs shoulders with several Hutt clans. He smokes heavily and is known to dabble in illicit substances. Emris is the least seen of all of the children, and is known as the "Shadow" of House Vidh.

Damre Vidh

Damre handles the pleasure houses for the Vidh family. Young, bright, and clean dressed, he is one of his parent's favorites and a playboy by nature. He has a constantly changing polycule that he dabbles in-- but even then he is known to sleep around outside of his partners. Each member of his polycule is forced to sign a contract stating he is allowed to do whatever he wants and they are not entitled to any of his assets. Multiple rumors of harassments surround Damre, but nothing has ever come of these allegations.

Therrin Vidh

The "baby" of the Vidh house despite being of age. He is spoiled and innocent, and perhaps the most mild mannered out of all of his siblings. Therrin is quiet and respectful, and has chosen to pursue a career in medicine and medical biotech. Even though he is the youngest out of eight children, Therrin has already begun making his mark in the biotech field. He is smart and passionate. He holds a sense of compassion that seems to be absent from the rest of his siblings, which makes him a favorite for individuals outside of Vatali royalty.
