The corvette Necrosis operated with the Corsair for close assault work. It carried space borne assault troops for boarding and seizing any targets of opportunity.

Action

The most notable action of the Necrosis was during the Battle of Antei when Colonel-General Doni Tzu Tarentae conducted an atmospheric insertion of a Tarentum armored company onto the Dark Hall proper. The ship design was never intended for such a feat and the Necrosis was badly damaged when it plowed into the dark earth of Antei. Tarentum has elected to leave the vessel where it remains as a memorial to bravery. The atmospheric drop of an entire company of repulsortanks halted Tarentum's legion but unexpecting enemies at the gates of the Dark Hall, buying allied Dark Jedi precious time to escape.
