Born in 249 BBY, on Kashyyyk, Karracca is considered late middle aged or even elderly for a Wookiee. He was identified as a Force sensitive youngling at the age of 9, and his father had asked the Jedi to teach him the ways of the force. He was made a Padawan at the age of 14, apprenticing under Grand Master Yoda, as many younglings did. He was made a Knight at the age of 28, and served honorably until the years leading up to the Clone Wars. After leaving the Order in 33 BBY, he returned home to Kashyyyk intent on settling down
During and in the decades after the establishment of the Empire he was forced into hiding after his homeworld was occupied. Though he also dabbled in mercenary work from time to time, he usually served as a bodyguard to the Bothan Senator and always aligned himself with the Rebels, the Alliance and later the Republic. For the alliance he served in one of their planning cells from 2 BBY until 4 ABY. For the New Republic he served a term as Deputy Secretary of Defense for Plans and Policy before leaving the public eye in 11 ABY. He only resurfaced publicly 3 times after that; For 2 appearances on Celebrity Charity Wrestling in 17 ABY, A high profile Gang War on Corellia where he helped broker peace in 20 ABY, and he helped rally Wookiees from all over the galaxy when his famous fellow Wookiee Chewie and his friend Lando put out the call for aid just before the Battle of Exogol. Little else of note occurred until the ABY 40s, when he was sent on a mission with a secular Jedi named Kalen.
Character History
Though never elevated to the rank of Master he was regarded as one of finest strategists and mission planners in the Order in the 50s and 40s BBY. By BBY 33 Karracca had become disillusioned by the decay, hubris and indifference of the High Council, led by many ranking Jedi that he respected.
He left the Jedi Order on honorable terms after a heated argument with the High Council. During a Council session where he was asked to speak on a strategy matter he had arose and supported one members push to find ‘the one’ and reform the Jedi's inward looking policies, beginning an argument that ended with Karracca leaving the Order.
The Order and Karracca did overcome their differences mere hours before the Battle of Kashyyyk. He had been in a tree top overwatch position, helping coordinate the defense of Kachirho tree city on Kashyyyk when the infamous Order 66 had been issued. Karracca had avoided the fate of most other Jedi at the time, because he had left the order 14 years before. Also, due to his position in the tree cities canopy, the Clone troopers never encountered him and his fellow Wookiees sheltered him from being discovered.
From that point on he worked as a private contractor and negotiator for nearly half a century before taking on a role as a coordinator and diplomat for the Brotherhood and later being hired by House Ventress. He was then brought in to help stand up their Envoy Cadre.
Though Karra still considers himself a Jedi at heart, he hasn't claimed the title publicly in over 70 years. Many Wookiees, especially older ones will know his name if not his chubby cheeked face. He rarely if ever admits to feeling old, and often claims that the fountain of youth resides in a consistent regiment of frequent naps.
When not found napping he's usually working as an advisor, consultant, or contractor for various friends throughout the Brotherhood. He was nearing retirement though and before incurring his life debt, he had been considering returning to Kashyyyk full time.
