Anaya Anasaye is the daughter of Empress Kaltani Anasaye and the heir-apparent to the Vatali Empire. Currently a ward of the Jedi Temple, Anaya was allowed by her mother to train among the Jedi after exhibiting a rare gift to utilize The Force, inherited from her father, Argen. As a member of the Acolytes of Urr, Anaya has trained as a Jedi Consular and often works to disarm and diffuse potential conflict.
Character History
Early Life
Born into a life of expectations, demands, and etiquette, Anaya was expected to grow and take her mother's place as Empress someday. Her job was to be the young face, preserving a sense of stability within the monarchy, providing proof that, no matter what, the line would endure, and that despite the repeated attempts of factions like the Vauzem Dominion, Kaltani's wisdom and teachings would infallibly endure. This burden would shape the child and her future, a constant, difficult, and often hopeless need to live up to expectations she never comprehended as he grew older. Unlike her brother, whose rebellious streak ran at odds with their parents, Anaya preserved the peace. Her acts of rebellion were smaller, more manageable, as she sought to act for the people's interest, and not her own, not the well-being of the crown, and would at times subvert her mother for the good of the common man.
Groomed for Greatness
Despite her childish acts of rebellion, Kaltani and Argen lavished love and praise upon Anaya, preparing her for the job they knew would one day come for her. While her brother was placed in a boarding school, private tutors and educators ensured the Princess learned while maintaining her duties at the castle. She was trained in the arts of state, business, philanthropy, and astrogation.
