The Dominion

The Dominion is made up of four alien species. They claim to have been brought together for an experiment conducted by an ancient civilization, but do not know who. What we do know is that they defeated this civilization and drove them off their world and establishing a militarized caste system to rule their world. They were later invaded and subjugated again, this time by the ancient Sith, and it is believed it was at this time that they learned of the Force and the lightsaber. The Dominion were able to push the ancient Sith off their world, and it is from their time under the Sith's rule that they developed their hatred for the Sith Empire.

Caste System

While CNS has deduced the species that compose these four castes, they do not know their names or truly understand them yet. It is also known that other species - including humans - are members of the Dominion, but it is unclear what role they serve. It seems to be a lesser one, if anything. Finally, it is notable that members of the Dominion are generally Force Sensitive about as often as in normal civilization, with the exception of Caste I, which has a high rate of Force sensitivity and training.

Caste I: The Iktotchi

The Iktotchi of the Dominion appear to be their leaders and overlords. Their telepathic abilities gave them an advantage in the conflict that led to the Dominion's establishment. We anticipate finding them on enemy ships and leading enemy troop formations. A large number of them seem to be trained Force users. One will be a dangerous opponent. Multiple Iktotchi will be even more deadly, since they can communicate silently with one another.

Prominent Iktotchi Figures

In 34 ABY during Operation: Firestorm, Clan Naga Sadow encountered a female Iktotchi Captain aboard the Hammer of Cha'kota which had crashed on Agua'tah. A very skilled Force user who went by the name of To'ka, she wielded a double bladed lightsaber. Her fighting pattern was unfamiliar and vastly superior to the onlookers who had tried to subdue her. Only witht he support of Warhost troops and additional Jedi support were they able to turn the fight around. However, unwilling to be captured, the Female Iktotchi jumped out of the crashed Star Destroyer and vanished from sight. She is presumed dead.

To'ka also has a brother by the name of Arr'ka. Also Force sensitive, he however prefers to use blasters and other weapons than a lightsaber. Although he was difficult to take down, he was eventually overpowered after he watched his sister disappear out of the window. Arr'ka was captured and spirited away in secret to be tortured, with the intention to learn more about the Dominion. The plan has yielded very little though in this case, and the backlash is already being felt through the way of the Karashi Void, a msyterious virus that originated from Arr'ka.

Caste II: The Clawdites

The second caste of the Dominion is made up of Clawdites. They are believed to serve as spies and infiltrators for the Dominion. They may also lead or organize elite strike forces. It is important to be ever vigilant of what you say and where you say it, as these spies may have already infiltrated Sadowan forces.

Caste III: The Kaleesh

It appears that most Dominion soldiers are Kaleesh. They make up the backbone of the rank and file of the Dominion military. Due to their ability to "see" in the dark, they are believed to fill the role of scouts in the Dominion. There is little more information about them. It is important to note that, like other galactic militaries, they are well-armed with modern weaponry and equipment.

Caste IV: The Trandoshans

The Trandoshans of the Dominion are elite warriors. Where the Kaleesh are the backbone of the Dominion army, the Trandoshans serve as front line shock troops. We also anticipate that many elite squads are made up of them. They may be found among other Dominion units, sometimes carrying specialized or advanced weaponry. The first encounter was recorded aboard the Hammer of Cha'Kota during Operation: Firestorm, reinforcing the fact they are elite warriors and are only called upon during extreme situations.

Caste V: Other

Whilst there is no real information regarding if this is a true Caste, it is known that many other races are part of the Dominion. While the upper four Caste's seem to have been placed there, the final Caste may be the result of conquest or kidnapping, or recent recruitment. They should be treated as no less of a threat, but may be susceptible to persuasion where others would not. The weakest link in the Caste system, yet it is also filled with fanatical races and/or individuals who believe the Dominion to be the true rulers of the Galaxy and can not be persuaded, no matter their situation.
