Could these not have all used the same convention of the previous OOBs? That is one page per vessel type, not per squad/per vessel owned. There's only so much you can say about each different squad of T/I, it may as well all be on a single page that includes squadron names and how many are currently possessed. --Shadow Taldrya 12:29, 18 September 2007 (MDT)

In the previous OOBs, only the Capital Ships received their own section, and those included the names of the vessels themselves. For all other ships (fighters, transports, etc...) they were grouped in their specific type. So one page for all your T/I, one for T/Ds, etc, etc Less pages, less clutter and all information could still be contained within the pages. That was the same for all Clan OOBs. If any of the wiki staff is reading this, perhaps we can have all pages put up at once, as was done previously? That all Clans are the same, and each one can then edit the histories once the templates/initial pages are up. No point in doing more work if things need changing--Halcyon 12:38, 18 September 2007 (MDT)

Shouldn't these be created after the ships are named? Or am I just stoopit? -- RevengeX Palpatine 14:38, 18 September 2007 (MDT)

Most likely. They'll have to be moved once a name is created, and the numerous starfighter/shuttle/transports will have to be deleted and made into single pages. --Shadow Taldrya 15:35, 18 September 2007 (MDT)

All squadrons will have a different commander, role, name, and history, and having all that for multiple quadrons on the same page would make it far too long. While the fictional details aren't written yet, we wanted to get the pages up early to save the work later down the line. --Impetus Korin

  • Right, I'll come in and say some stuff on this. First, starfighters squadrons do not need individiual pages. Use headings to include information for each squadron. You can go all the way to like seven of the equal buttons, so you should have no problem putting that all on one page. Second, I don't see why you can't just wait until they are named. Now we're (as in Shad or me) are going to have to go through and delete all the redirect pages that this'll create once you move them to a page with a name. I've nothing against CSP or you, but I think you're making this complicated. Just write the stuff in a .doc and then c/p --Aabs 17:50, 25 September 2007 (MDT)
  • OK, that all makes sense, if a wiki admin could delete all the pages that need grouping except number 1, we can work with that page, and I'll store things in word files before it's all completed. Sorry for the confusion --Impetus Korin
