Patriot's Fist was the command ship of the Peace Brigade commodore Yashais dei Izvoshra during the Yuuzhan Vong War. The battlesphere was constructed out of an ageing Confederacy Lucrehulk-class core ship that dated back to the Clone Wars.

At the conclusion of the war, Yashais, along with the Patriot, survived the widespread arrest of most members of the Peace Brigade and fled into hiding out in Wild Space where he met the self-declared Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster Varesh Shai, who agreed to spare the Peace Brigader in exchange for his fleet's services. In the two years immediately after the collapse of the Yuuzhan Vong Empire, the Patriot and its task force saw action in the numerous piratical raids Varesh performed along the Hydian Way and into Orian Space.
