The Nebula-Class Star Destroyer is a recent New Republic design which was meant to go head-to-head with any one enemy Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer and come out on top, using less resources to build than the larger Imperial II. Built as a multi-purpose capital warship, it's also capable of bringing in even more firepower to a battle thanks to hangar capacity for up to sixty starfighters. Essentially a self-contained fleet, it is a formidable opponent.

The Excidium II has the daunting task to live up to the long and proud history of its' prior namesake, the original Excidium. The ship was stolen from the Republic Engineering Corporation shipyards in the Mon Calamari system by a special operations team headed by long-standing Clan Scholae Palatinae member, Timbal during the events of Operation: Reclamation. Shortly after it was stolen, it rendezvoused with its' new crew, and the crew had a chance to immediately prove their worth by engaging and destroying the New Republic pursuit force that had chased them down.
