"Generic design. Everything seems to be in the usual places. I can totally fly this...I think."
―Lux Venia

Lux Venia is a fast-talking, hot-shot pilot and Ace that packs a quirky wit into a lean frame and with snark to spare in surplus. Currently employed by the Inquisitorius, she primarily deals with transporting agents on a "no names" basis. However, she won't hesitate to get behind the stick of a fighter. It's this quality that allows Lux to continue serving within the Brotherhood, despite every facet of her personality lending itself to the contrary.

History

Lux began her life the way she continues to live it: homeless. Born to drifter parents on a transport ship, she has never had a world to call her home. Once old enough she had to make herself useful in order to put food on the proverbial table. For her, this took on the role of piloting. Lux has manned the helm of countless ships and barely remembers a time when she wasn't a pilot. She has worked with countless employers over the years, both legitimate enterprises and otherwise, and as a result developed what can be seen as an annoyingly chatty attitude.

Her skills found her placed in the Republic's care, learning to become a combat pilot. That path was not meant for her however. She, and her superiors, quickly learned that her lack of an off switch when it came to her mouth was going to be a constant source of insubordination. It was a notably aggravating point for the officers, and a source of amusement for Lux. This found her quickly expelled and without a home once again.

That worked just fine for Lux and she settled back into her drifter ways without much difficulty. A pilot for hire once again, she moved from contract to contract without much care for the who, what, where, or why. Eventually she came across a particularly vague opportunity that enticed her with its promise of long-term employ. Her decision to accept the contract found her acting as an unaffiliated transport for Inquisitorius operatives - though she didn't know that at the time.

She never had the same passenger twice - from what she could tell - until the first time she transported Atra Ventus. For one reason or another, the man took note of her and made the necessary provisions to secure her as his usual pilot. Lux didn't mind that so much, as the credits were even better with her on retainer than it had been before.

As time passed, Lux Venia became more and more associated with the Inquisitorius itself. No longer was she able to call herself unaffiliated. With the increasing hostilities from Collective, Lux ended up fully enlisting with the Brotherhood and its intelligence agency. She quickly became one of their top aces, able to get her passengers just about anywhere just as easily as she could handle a fighter in a sortie.

Physical Description

Appearance

Standing slightly taller than average, and usually sporting a grin, Lux tends to stand out. Her frame carries her weight well, possessing a smooth curve from her sharp shoulders down to her waist without succumbing to the hourglass figure. Her hips are in line with her shoulders, while her bust is slightly above average without managing to draw attention. Her muscles are strong without being toned, resulting in smooth contours.

Lux's skin is naturally pale without taking on a deathly pallor thanks to a subtle copper tone. Her chin-length dirty blonde hair frames a round face with full lips, while her emerald eyes draw attention to her wide eyes. A silver band works along her forehead, attached to a communication headset with a boom that hangs next to her chin.

Attire

When it comes to clothing, Lux prefers comfort before all things. She wears a form-fitting red v-neck top, tucked into beige cargo pants with a black belt along her waist. Shin-length black boots are pulled over her pants and she completes her ensemble with a white jacket that cuts off at her midriff. Lux chooses to roll her sleeves up to her elbows, exposing the orange inner-lining of the jacket.

Personality

Lux is the type of person who makes a first impression hard and fast. A lot more perceptive than she lets on, the pilot has a habit of talking as fast as she flies. This hardly gives others a chance to get a word in edge-wise, but she's too busy chatting to overly care. In fact, she has a unique ability to cover enough ground in such short order that more than once she has applied multiple nicknames to someone over the course of a few sentences. This is a tell towards the heart of her nature. Always watching and weighing those around her, Lux has no time to waste with a mental filter and her humor often cuts to the very heart of how she views others. In the end, Lux definitely has a mouth that flies her into trouble without warning. Couple that with the fact that she gauges people by their worth and she's asking for trouble once she's determined someone is full of overly inflated self-importance—a fact she won't hesitate to make candid.
