Introduction

The Dragons of the Brotherhood

The Long Family is a loose association of powerful Elders and promising Equites of the Brotherhood. Originally founded by Grand Master Faethor Dejarc, later known as Chi Long, to offer his tutelage to creative, expansive, and otherwise promising members of the Brotherhood.

Most members of the Long Family exhibit a streak of insanity or behavioral issues. These may be as blatantly obvious as Chi Long's own sociopathic outrages; or the disassociative identities observed in Shan Long; or the technological obsessions of Xu Long.

Chi Long served as Patriarch for many years. Upon his departure, he left the guidance of his Family to Master Shan Long. The insane Master continued to seek new Dragons, and to preserve the practice of Long Shan Zhi before his own eventual disappearance. At present, Xia Long is viewed as Matriarch of the Family, while Gwei Long is the eldest Dragon still active in the Brotherhood.

The former dragon Jin Long, also known as Mike Halcyon, defiled the honor of the Family by renouncing the Dark Side and becoming a member of the Jedi Order once more. Halcyon was decreed apostate, and a Blood Hunt initiated against him by the entire Family; they seek his destruction ceaselessly. Shan Long had also denounced the former Yu Long, known as Pyralis, and initiated a Blood Hunt against him, as well.

The Dragons continue to uphold the legacy and teachings of the great Lord Chi Long, despite the Eldest Dragon's rumored death. It has been said that visions or psychotic episodes among the Family may herald his return.

  • [36 ABY] Chi Long dies. Xue Long, the Snow Dragon is named. Xiao Long returns.
