Protector is the fifth rank in the Dark Brotherhood, which is awarded after completing the requirements of a Acolyte. It is at this point within the Journeymen class that one may wield a basic lightsaber given to them by their superiors.
It is part of the Journeyman class, the fifth step down the path to Dark Jedi Knight.
The Requirements to be promoted past this rank are much more difficult, and are as follows:
Protector to Guardian
* Four weeks at Protector required
* Logon to IRC and visit your Clan channel
* Complete your Order Core exam - this can count towards your total Shadow Academy requirements for other promotion tasks
Complete five of the following:
* Ten Shadow Academy exams in addition to any completed that were used to qualify for a promotion to Protector
* Participate in five total competitions
* Earn fifteen (total) Clusters of Fire
* Complete Antei Combat Centre Basics Exam and your Character Sheet if you have not already done so
* Qualify for the Antei Combat Centre
* Minimum two page character fiction to be approved by your House leadership or Master
* Begin writing your character’s wiki article. This means that some reasonable effort should have been put into making a new article.
* Create a competition and run it with the assistance of your leadership
* Earn a merit medal
Completion of the above requirements will earn a promotion to Guardian.
