Dark Side Adept is the thirteenth rank in the Dark Brotherhood, which is awarded after demonstrating above and beyond performance as a 4rd level Equite. It is at this rank that members may request a custom Double bladed lightsaber.

It is the first rank in the Elder class, the first step down the path to Grand Master.

Promotion past this rank is determined by the Grand Master or his Deputy when a promotion is warranted based on performance and activity.

Upon promotion by the Grand Master or his Deputy, you will reach the second Elder class rank of Dark Jedi Master.

Trivia

• In the past, members were promoted to Dark Side Adept upon appointment to a Dark Council position (except Order Leaders who attained the highest rank of their Order - e.g. Sith Warlord). This practice has been abolished.
• When originally introduced, Custom Lightsabers were only available at this rank or higher.
