The design was focused entirely on maximizing cargo space at the expense of armament, speed, crew comfort, and cost.  The factory model provided for forty passengers, but almost all ships converted the space for added cargo room.  Most GR-75s found their way into Alliance hands during the Galactic Civil War due to their low cost, ease of reconfiguration, and availability of replacement parts.

Destiny, originally nammedDeliverer, served the New Republic, running cargo to various installations in the Mid and Outer Rims. Its final assignment came in the form of delivering arms and supplies to a damaged cruiser undergoing emergency repairs. Unfortunately, that cruiser happened to be the Vengeance. Upon gaining further intelligence on the Republic outpost, the Ketoan Consul amended the capture operation to include any supply ships docked near the cruiser. Though a number of smaller craft managed to elude the Obelisk detachment tasked with this part of the operation, the original crew of the Deliverer was cut off or slain, and the ship captured. With the merger of the two Clans the ship was renamed Destiny, and assigned to running supplies for Morroth.

It was later present at the Battle of Antei, having been pressed into service as a picket ship to help guard against treachery from the other Clans. The transport was badly damaged during the fighting, and lagged behind during the frantic retreat. Though the ship could not be positively identified among the debris found in the weeks following the battle, the crew is presumed dead; killed either by the enemy fleet or the nature of the Shroud.
