I'm sorry ... who is nominating these "featured" articles? Firefox's article is nothing more than a glorified stub and a whole section or two of history is missing from Sarin's entry (although it is coming along rather nicely). A new system needs to be implemented. Vladimir 18:05, 1 February 2007 (Mountain Standard Time)

It is my opinion that Firefox and Sarin be removed from the Upcoming Featured Article List. Prominant members of the Brotherhood they may be, but that doesn't mean anything in terms of having their Wiki pages featured for the community. Featured Articles highlight the best pages of the community, not the members themselves. Vladimir 08:31, 2 February 2007 (Mountain Standard Time)

Vlad - Calm down. FF and Sarin had been added because no one else was adding anything. As Korras said, they'll be shoved down the list until they are ready. For a while, articles like those WERE the best ones. For SIX MONTHS I've been saying people need to take initiative in the Wiki (other than the staff), and yet there is minimal effort. If you have better suggestions, start talking. Otherwise, get to editing something worthy.

* CSP's wiki page isn't bad, but it could use some more images to break up the large amounts of text. After that I think it would be Featured Article worthy. Vladimir 19:07, 2 February 2007 (Mountain Standard Time)

Or you can go to DJBWiki:Featured article and at the bottom is a section for nominating - yes I stole it from Wookieepedia, but it works or rather hopefully will work. I'd like to begin using it at the least.--Tron 21:51, 3 February 2007 (Mountain Standard Time)

I have to agree with this. Like I said, it was worded nicely, but the errors in both style and function happen too frequently, too readily for them to be stylistic (i.e. using "And" to start a sentence to bring attention). Were these breaches of the convention of style far more sporadic, and far more judicious, I could easily look at the piece and say, "Oh. She's drawing my attention to something particularly significant/important." As it stands, the errors in style point to a "Frosh" attempt at writing. - Oberst 22:12, 12 April 2007 (MDT)

Right... Well seeing as a great many DBers don't speak english as a primary language, and the majority are still in some form of school I'm pretty sure we're not going to go hardcore on the technical aspects of their wiki writing. I mean jesus... it's a featured article on a wiki. --Shadow Taldrya 01:46, 13 April 2007 (MDT)

I can only agree with Shadow, you guys really think starting a sentence with end is a crime which must be punished by death? Error in style... is this a competition? no this is not a competition Zeron 07:42, 13 April 2007 (MDT)

If that's the attitude that people will take then surely featured articles are redundant? The whole point of featured article status is that the article in question is a good one. Granted I don't understand half the stuff Oberst was on about but I'm Welsh so sue me :P So if people don't care about the quality of articles that get nominated for the featured article status I table a motion that my article be a featured article next week! w00t :P Welsh

StormRaven's queued article

Rasilvenaira Stormraven's article is currently not up to standards for a featured article, since topical and relevant opposition was voiced by Oberst within seven days of it being posted. This opposition was also not yet addressed. Karel 13:55, 12 April 2007 (MDT)
