Darius Blackwind is a Commodore of the Autochthonian Navy, and commander of the Fallen Spear.
Brief History
Born on Autoch Prime, Darius was raised in a military family, the Blackwind name having been career soldiers in the Autoch armed forces for generations. Darius completed school at the Naval academy, and upon graduation, enlisted in the Marines, where he was trained and then deployed to various minor conflicts in the Autoch system. After his tour of duty ended, Darius was offered a commission in the Autoch Navy, based upon his exceptional service and training in the Academy. Choosing to accept, he was retrained as an officer, going through rigorous training for the ships of the line.
Performing better than 99% of his class, Darius was chosen for a prototype pilot program. Darius would command several newly developed ships for the Autoch Navy, testing them under various circumstances, soon becoming a trusted advisor on the new deigns to the High Lord Darrow.
Having risen through the ranks to Colonel, he was eventually assigned to the personal entourage of the High Lord Darrow, who granted him his Letters of Mark, and assigned him to the prototype Dragon-class pocket carrier, an unnamed ship that escorted his own ship, the 'Silvertooth' on his own missions. At the end of a particularly grueling battle which saw Darrow's life saved numerous times by a young black-eyed Jedi, the Lord Darrow gifted the ship to Muz, who eventually would name the ship the Fallen Spear.
When Darrow's Jedi left Autoch space, Blackwind was given the option to remain with the ship given to the Jedi, staying on as part of his retinue. Blackwind, having grown attached to the prototype, agreed. He serves as Captain to the Fallen Spear under Muz Keibatsu Sadow, who he considers a good friend.
Demeanor
Commodore Darius BlackwindDarius is a no-nonsense sort of person, generally ignoring most of the political games and annoyances of daily life to focus on his duty. While friendly to those he meets, he does not trust the vast majority of those who encounter him due to his non Force-sensitivity. He does appreciate the members of the Nihilgenia under his command, and has been known to play sabacc with them, sharing his cigars with the winners. With a taste for fine cigars, and an appreciation for brandies from across the galaxy, Blackwind is not without his vices, but rarely does he let these cloud his judgment.
Abilities
Darius is a fair shot with a blaster, having been trained as a Marine in the Autoch Forces before switching over to the Navy when he turned 23. He is also certified in the use of several forms of battle rifle, slugthrowers, and in zero-g combat.
Blackwind also has a strong understanding of several forms of hand to hand combat, having trained with Muz. However, his weapons skills are drawn more from his Autoch training than with the Keibatsu.
Blackwind possesses no Force sensitivity.
