Nero Inferni is a Zabrak Obelisk Acolyte of the House Taldryan.

Character History

Early Life

Iridonia Nero's Homeworld
Nero, born Duss Kola, was an orphan on Iridonia of a Clan of Force wielding Zabraks. His early life was suppose to be like most Zabrak Warriors, intense training in the Art of Combat from sun-up to sun-down each day, sparring against each other and against the Battle-Master of the tribe, and studying the Elders of the tribe demonstrate their fighting styles. That may seem like hell to some people, but Duss prayed that one day he would've been able to have that.

Unlike the other warriors of his tribe Duss lived away from the main village in a small "house", if you can call a cave at the bottom of a canyon a house. His training consisted of climbing the canyon wall each and every day before walking into the training grounds before being beaten mercilessly in one-on-one combat with the Battle-Master. He wasn't able to watch the Elders teach the others their styles of combat, he learned to adapt himself to fight with whatever he could find, which was usually a sturdy stick he used as a make-shift sword.

While his training was different than the other Zabrak Warriors, he grew stronger than them because of it. By the time he was eight, only the Battle-Master could keep up with his ferocious attacks, and even then the man had a hard time doing it without using the Force. It was around the time he turned nine that the Elders, and the Battle-Master, realized that they had created a child that could defeat any of the them unless they drew heavily upon the force, and they were afraid. Not only was he strong, but he was fast and smart. They feared Duss, and it was that fear that caused them to Exile him when he was only ten.

Life as an Exile

Duss' Exile was the best, and the worst thing to happen to him. He was treated with respect when he was sent away. They gave him a basic sword, a shield, and ten days rations. While Duss knew that it wasn't going to last him, and he knew that the Elders assumed that he would probably die before he reached a city or another village to replenish his supplies, he went with a smile. The last thing he requested was that he be told who his parents were. After a minutes thought, they granted him his request and informed him that the Battle-Master was his father and his mother had died giving birth to him. It was at that moment he experienced sorrow for the first time in his life, and it was right then that he swore to the Elders one day he would return, and no one would walk away except for him.

Two months after being Exiled, Duss made it to a spaceport. The events that took place between him being Exiled, and making it to the spaceport are rather unknown. In Duss' mind it was just walking and walking, every couple of days he managed to meet someone who'd trade with him, and occasionally he found a village to replenish his supplies in. Each night he dreamed of how his father treated him, each day's walk he thought of nothing else but massacring his entire clan. His rage grew and grew, and he fell further into the Dark Side. When he finally reached the spaceport, he felt happy for the first time in months, no years. Duss, for he still had not thrown away the name, managed to smuggle himself onto a ship and make his way to the Core World of Coruscant.

Coruscant, the place Nero spent half of his teenage life.
Duss stayed on Coruscant for five years doing numerous miscellaneous jobs, most illegal, for random people. He was young, but he had potential. Everyday he would train his body and mind. While it wasn't as rigorous as he was use to, it still kept him in shape and kept him feared by his clients. On the fifth year of being on Coruscant, Duss had managed to earn enough money for a ship back to Iridonia. A short time, and a couple negotiations, later he was back on Iridonia. He stole a speeder from some unlucky Twi'lek and used it until he reached the spaceport where he had initially left the planet. He left the speeder there, and traveled on foot for the rest of the way.

The Birth of the Inferni

What initially took Duss two months, only took his one month. The difference between last time, and this time, was that the first time he was walking aimlessly, this time he had a goal, and he was certain to achieve it. Before the Zabrak went to his clan to gain his revenge, he made his way to his old home and meditated there for two days. After those two days he walked into the village of his clan, and challenged his father. The fight was a good one, his father had the upper hand initially, but it wasn't long until Duss had beheaded the, now aging, Battle-Master. No one stopped him as he took up his father's sword and declared war upon the clan, they were too awestruck. Duss slipped into a Force-induced Rage and gave into the Dark Side.

Duss came to two hours later drenched in blood and the entire clan was dead. With a dark grimace he tattooed himself, using the blood of his clan mixed with the traditional ink to never let himself forget the day he was suppose to become a man, and the day he achieved his revenge on the clan that destroyed his life. With his new tattoos Duss chose to discard the name his Clan gave him, and take on a new one. Nero Inferni was his new name, where he learned the words is still a mystery as the man himself doesn't remember. He left the village with what was left of his father's tribal armor, and the sword of his clan. Soon afterwards he left the planet, hoping he'd never have to return to Iridonia again, at the same spaceport as he did the first time.

A New Beginning

For the next five years Nero's actions in the Universe were relatively small-scale. He worked a legitimate job as a guard on Naboo. He wasn't anyone special, he didn't do anything really. The Zabrak had very little friends, and wasn't very well liked at his job, but he was good at what he did. When he quit the job, the only people disappointed were his bosses. Since he had started to work there, the theft had gone down exponentially, and the jobs went up because the place was decent at that time. The reason Nero quit was because he was tired of the same thing every day, there wasn't any excitement in what he did, he wanted to have the thrill of battle again.
