Sources and Canon

Hi, I'm sort of a new member and was looking at helping you guys out with these pages. I have a few questions, is all of this article canon, and what are the sources for some of this information? Thanks. --Archivist 13:22, 24 February 2008 (MST)

  • Hello, there! The DJB uses "Broken Gate from Wookieepedia" as its general reference. The Wookieepedia entry on "Broken Gate" cites the book "Yoda: Dark Rendezvous" as the canon material in which Broken Gate was introduced. I hope that answered your question. -- RevengeX Palpatine 17:50, 24 February 2008 (MST)
    • This and the other Martial Arts as well as the Lightsaber Forms are all technically canon. We did take a large degree of creative licence when it came to working them into a format that fit the mechanics we wanted for character sheets. So, the basics are canon, but there may be parts that we've tweaked. Trakata is a good example of something which is canon but has very little actual detail, so most of the "fluff" is home grown. --Xanos 03:41, 25 February 2008 (MST)

  • Yeah, thanks very much guys. : )

Alright, I joined on not so much to be an acolyte but more of a Librarian, like Jocasta Nu, except for the Dark Brotherhood, and not the Jedi Order.

I'm going to look through some of the pages here and spot things that could need expanding, revising or fixing. Some of the martial arts I've noticed could use some of this, so I shall leave my notes and suggestions/questions on those discussion pages associated with said art form.

By the way, If I may say so, you guys do a fantastic job of improving articles, seriously, I've been in RPG's where people have tried to create Fanon, but it made no sense at all and was, suffice to say, retarded.

I can tell that our organization is a rigid, and this is a good thing, because it allows for control and order, and guidance. That, and I can tell there are at least a few resident Martial Artists within the Brotherhood. As a Martial Artist myself, I will strive to make these pages as accurate and realistic as possible, but seek to respect the ways of the Brotherhood. --Archivist 15:44, 27 February 2008 (MST)
