Character History
His Life on Rodia
Dorn was born on Rodia 10 years after the Battle of Yavin (10 ABY). He was a smart Rodian, according to the standards of his tribe. He was closest to his grandfather. When he was just one year old he was given a sword that had ruby, emerald, and sapphire. He has valued this sword and still uses it. Just a few hours later Rodian screeches were heard. Blaster shots were heard being fired and dying Rodian screams were heard. All of a sudden a Rodian fell through the door of Dorn’s house. Dorn’s grandfather told him to go down the hidden hatch. He did and then he heard his family screaming in pain. He waited and heard something fall on the hatch. Later on he checked outside and noticed it was lifeless, literally, except for him. He wandered around eating what he could for the next 4 years. After the four years he had moved to Iskaayuma, the capital of Rodia. From there he went to an Imperial planet so he could learn some militaristic ways.
In the Empire
Dorn served five years with the Empire. Under an officer, Ismak, he rose to the rank of Master Sergeant and was given command of a small group of soldiers. His first mission was a success but the second was not.He had been in the Empire for almost five years at the time when he was to go to Endor and pick up anything related to what happened there and destroy it. Dorn and hismen arrived and were immediately under fire. They quickly got out of the hangar but not without casualties. One of them got shot in the head and remained standing for no more than a second and fell over, dead. That wasn't it either. They found the base, what remained of it anyway, and checked the computer memory banks. The computer had a message on it: You can't erase the data for we already have it. -The New Republic. They were beaten. On the way out New Republic forces were everywhere. Out of the 25 that came here, only five left.
After arriving back at a secret base on Coruscant, Dorn had talked with his men and they told him they were leaving the Empire. He agreed with them. So they stole five ships, one for each of them, and headed towards unknown places.
The five split up and kept in contact with each other with news of different things. Dorn has gotten a lot of information from these guys. Out of the five, Dorn and two others still journey together on missions for the Brotherhood. The other two guys are informers for Dorn. Since they boh got about ten people helping them, it is like Dorn has 20 men helping him out.
Pirate Hunting
While without any faction for a few years he killed pirates for bounties and he found his grandfather and released him from the pirates, only for the pirates to get him back later. During this time he killed around three hundred pirates. He then ran into Yadar, who was under a different name at the time. He was told that his skill wasn’t because of training but because of midichlorians in his body. He was told to go to Antei and ask for a person that could help him. There he ran into the people that helped him during his time in the Brotherhood.
In the Brotherhood
He was then put into Clan Exar Kun where he advanced ranks and earned some medals. When he was a Protector Clan Exar Kun and Clan Satel Keto combined and formed the biggest clan in the Brotherhood yet, Clan Plagueis. It slowly diminished in numbers. Especially after the Great Jedi War when most members fled. Dorn referred to it as the ‘Great Plagueis Loss’, referring to a historic event, the Great Jedi Purge. He went AWOL on a visit to Rodia for a few months. He came back and a lot of the people he knew in Plagueis were somewhere else. One example was Sarin, now Grand Master. Lucius, Venquis, Drodik, and a few others are more on the list. Yadar then came back and had a different name and was less patient than his former self. They started training together and doing so were able to gain advantages while in battle together. He has journeyed to twice as many planets as he did while in the Empire and it has given him many opportunities. He is now a Guardian and has a master that is helping him to progress to a Dark Jedi Knight. Dorn will always look at the master, the one that got him to Dark Jedi Knight, as his master and he will always go to him first. Yadar has left Arcona but Dorn won’t let the rivalry between Arcona and Schloae Palintae get in the way of their friendship. Just recently Dorn went to Corellia to gather some data from the Coronet libraries that were needed for Battleteam Bas-Tyra. His current master is Timeros. He discovered his grandfather was actually taken as a slave for the Hutts and Dorn got him back and is letting him stay in his quarters with him. He has seen his former officer, Ismak, on some missions and on one personal mission he had no choice but to kill him. Later studies by the Rodian found out the dead man was Force-sensitive.
After being away on an unexpected extended leave he returned only because he had been told Soulfire was in trouble. But until it is over any details will not be known. Prior to returning he had ran into some Yuuzhan Vong on Luun, a planet in the unknown region, and barely came out alive. Missing his left arm up to the elbow, his entire right arm and entire right leg. His Tenloss Disrupter Rifle got destroyed in that battle and he is using a brand new X-45 rifle instead. His E-11 is still in good shape, so are his sword and katana. All of which are with him on the Soulfire rescue.
He is now apart of Battleteam Blue Mist. Referred to as the newbie squad they are out to become as close to Soulfire's eliteness as possible. With him being the last of his family now he is planning to return to Rodia for a short period of time for some meditation and among other things. But fortunately only for a couple days.
His Family
- "''Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
- Through passion, I gain strength.
- Through strength, I gain power.
- Through power, I gain victory.
- Through victory, my chains are broken.
- The Force shall free me. "
- ― The Sith Code.
Since in the brotherhood he has discovered his grandfather and brother. His grandfather now resides with him on Eldar so that he can remain safe. His brother was at Iskaayuma when the attack on their tribe happened and he hurried back to the village. He arrived to notice that two bodies were gone. Dorn was one and the grandfather was the other. Dorn found his brother, Lur, on Gesthemane unsuspectingly due to the fact that this system was pretty well hidden. They talked and now Dorn has a home on Gesthemane where the two stay. Dorn stays with Bas-Tyra at the base just a couple miles away.
Just recently on Rodia though, Lur died. Dorn has been in intense grieving and had been consuled by his master and Arcona Consul, Timeros, to get through the matter. He has done many practice duels against droids and some hand-to-hand combat training with other Arconans.
When Dorn was on Rodia on his leave the reason for the extension was because his grandfather, Frenk had died. He had been poisoned while working for the Hutts and it had finally taken him and beaten his body. He attended the funeral and then did rituals to all his family before taking a short couple days of break.
His Weaponry
Dorn has other weapons besides the standard Blue Mist equipment and his sword.
His most favorite weapon is his E-11 from his Empire days. He has enough ammo to last him 5 Great Jedi Wars. He also likes his brand new X-45 rifle that he has used to perfect his sniping ability. Even though not as good as Soulfire's current and past snipers he is out to become Blue Mist's greatest sniper. His katana has worked well along side his personal sword and so he has used it continually. He always carries at least 10 Cryo-Ban grenades, 5 Thermal Detonators, 3 Trip Mines, and 3 Concussion grenades. He hates pistols and so doesn't carry one. He does have weapons that no one but him can find and he saves them for when he has trained to use them successfully.
Unknown Forces
- "No matter how many times I failed, he always put me right back into the line of fire. Right where I was supposed to be."
- ―Dorn, at his Imperial officer's, Ismak, funeral.
On a recent trip to Rodia, Dorn noticed an increase in New Republic patrols. While being able to keep the Brotherhood's identity secret, he had to kill a few fighters and some control bridge personnel and get to the surface of Rodia and hide for awhile. He had made a bounty on his head, like most of the other Dark Brethren had, but since he was of a rare color of Rodian he stuck out more than anyone else.
He was surprised when his brother offered help, even more so when Timeros offered help from Arcona if needed. He let his brother come along and told his master to only bring a few. When news of this hit the Holonet, Dorn's friend Yadar, came to help. Yadar brought some of the Mandalore Guard as Dorn was familiar with them even though he was never in Scholae. After a couple days of successful missions they decided to attack one of the New Republic's base of operations in the area. During the mission Lur got shot and died, Dorn was severed on his left arm by a vibroblade, and half of the others had minor injuries.
Dorn's former superior Imperial officer, Ismak, was there too. He was apparently pissed at what Dorn had done when he got exiled from the Empire's ranks. He sent some black stormtroopers after them but they were no match for the group of Dark Jedi. Dorn was able to get a clean shot at Ismak and kill him. Even though he was betrayed by him, Dorn gave a proper funeral to Ismak, at the end he saluted him one last time. Dorn wasn't able to figure out why the New Republic had taken such an interest but it didn't matter they had left a year later because of the Yuuzan Vong threat spreading across the galaxy. Dorn has left this whole matter in the back of his mind, he doesnt want to remember the sadness that happened here.
DJB Facts
He was assigned to Clan Exar Kun which later fused with Clan Satal Keto to form Clan Plagueis. He joined the Rogues around 13 months later and joined Clan Arcona a few months after that with a friend from when he was in Plageuis, Rade "Venquis" Tamalar. At this time he is a Guardian of House Galeres.
