Brilliant But Unruly
Ikarri Itinen, a native of the rugged and resilient Epicanthix home world Panatha, exhibited an extraordinary level of intellect at an early age. His parents, both accomplished scientists and former members of the Panatha military, recognized his potential and spared no effort in providing him with the finest training available. These early years sparked his interest in archaeology as he began learning about other cultures, worlds, and histories, and his desire to learn grew.
As he grew older, he was enrolled in a variety of fields, including preparation for what his parents assumed would be a military career following in their footsteps. Though physically he was average among students, his reaction time and quick thinking gave rise to a teenager's love of dangerous habits. More than once, he managed to steal, trick, or borrow speeders, which he would take for joyrides until caught or he grew bored and returned them.
This negligent behavior led to his early enrollment in a military academy. Despite the trouble he had caused, it was quickly covered up with a bit of hush money and promises of better behavior. Something he caught onto early in life was that with the right amount of money and the right words, nearly anything one did could be forgotten or removed from public records.
A Learned Slacker
His training within the academy instilled in him a sense of purpose, particularly when he finally earned his way into the cockpit of a fighter. His love for speeders translated well to flight, and through purposeful intention, he coasted under the radar as much as possible. Never seeking distinction in his service through disingenuous behavior, he served his time doing the bare minimum to succeed without excelling. He continued his education throughout these years, learning as much as he could. It was during these early years that his planet first made contact with the Galactic Empire, and many of his people began moving off-world to explore more of the galaxy. Ikarri strongly considered desertion but chose to complete his enlistment to term.
With his collected earnings, he purchased the antiqued Star Courier that he affectionally dubbed The Siren he continues to fly to this day. Taking the time to repair, replace, and upgrade the ship throughout the following few decades. His travels took him out of the Pacanth Reach into the wider Galaxy where he put his talents as a pilot and his intellect to use, providing courier services, intelligence gathering, and taking any opportunity to work hands-on with any digs or discoveries he could get hired for.
Spending nearly two decades pursuing his interests in the known galaxy, he began to yearn for something new. At the time, he had unknowingly worked for the Shadow Academy on several occasions, earning a reputation as a skilled pilot and brilliant archaeologist. When he was approached with the offer of a long-term contract to investigate and record any possible routes through the Unknown Regions, it didn’t take long for him to latch onto the opportunity. Making the necessary modifications to the Star Courier to ensure not only his comfort, knowing he would spend years aboard the ship, but also modifying the hyperdrive and sensor arrays to enhance his ability to complete the contract promptly. Only in his late forties, still relatively young for a member of his race, did he set out into the unknown.
By his sixth decade of life, Ikarri became a well-known figure among those who dared to explore the Unknown Regions. Known for his calm demeanor, charm, and remarkable ability to nearly instantly pick up new concepts or methods from those he encountered. He spent his time cataloging points of interest, planets, and more. Though he collated the data within his ship's computers, on occasions he found a particularly interesting or what he believed would be a profitable site. He would store the charts, navigation data, and specifics on a personal drive while scrubbing the information from his onboard systems. Though he intended to share a majority of his discoveries with his employer, he didn’t feel the need to share everything upon his return.
Ready To Act
Ikarri Itinen's journey ultimately led him back to Brotherhood space, where he was introduced to the newly formed Aurora Collegium of Sciences, which held the details of his contract. He would take up residency there until the events of the Sixteenth Great Jedi War, where his skills as a pilot would be put to the test entering the Ethereal Realm and combating the The Children of Mortis. It was during these events that he learned of the greater Dark Brotherhood and began to see an opportunity to turn the organization to his benefit. His actions within the Collegium and during the war caught the attention of Korvis Manda'vod, the Consul of Clan Vizsla, who upon their return to normal space offered Ikarri a contract working for him directly.
Within a few months, he had proven to be an effective member of Korvis’ summit, and with the Consul's untimely death, he was elevated to the position of Proconsul under the new Consul Socorra Erinos. The two had arrived at Vizsla at roughly the same time, and though they shared a military background, where Socorra found the most use for her new Proconsul was in the coordination of contracts, vessels, and locations for Vizsla’s various members. The two struck an accord, with Socorra acting as the frontline leader and Ikarri coordinating and ensuring she and her people had every resource they needed in their pursuit of Korvis’ killers.
Physical Description
Ikkari is a Epicanthix of moderate build for his species, known for their muscular builds he tends to lean towards the trimmed physique. He has the tanned skin natural to his people, though paler than would be expected, his almond-shaped Eyes are dark green with specks of ashen gray in the iris, his black hair is short cut in an almost militaristic fashion, beginning to show the signs of receding under his left eye is a bar-code tattoo with what appears to be rank and insignia inscribed.
