Holocron of Antar IV

Appearance:

The Holocron of Antar IV is a Sith synthetic type crystalline holocron device. It appears as a bipyramid of a red color. Embedded throughout are small wires and lamina, presumably part of the Holocron technology. The whole structure is based upon a repeating modified cubic lattice of a complex type II shape, similar in structure to the spinel group of minerals.

Function:

The crystal is activated by the Force intent of a Darksider of some power. Unlike a standard tetragonal Sith Holocron matrix, the complex cubical shape has an atomic unit cell which contains more ions per unit than it’s more common brethren. This may be a result of the era of creation, see Contents. It therefore is capable of holding an extraordinary amount of data.

History:

Sith Lord Malak in approximately 3959 BSW4 first created the Holocron. Malak used an unorthodox method of synthetic creation, and a forge of an unknown type. This resulted in the unusual shape and unit cell matrix of the Holocron.

The Holocron remained hidden and lost for some time before being discovered by Sith Lord Kaan. Kaan later lost it during the Battle of Ruusan, where it lay hidden for many millennia.

Later the holocron was discovered in the Valley of the Jedi by the University of Agamar's researchers and given to the Antaran Rangers for safekeeping far before the Rise of the Empire.

The Holocron has been wrested from them by Clan Naga Sadow. Macron examined the Holocron at the behest of Xanos Zorrixor in approximately 24 ABY.

Contents:

Malak encoded himself as the primary Gatekeeper, and so the Holocron is notoriously difficult to operate. There exists one other secondary personality, Sith Lord Kaan.

The contents include many subjects relating to military weapons, ships and Force usage.
