| Naming the Cotelin-class wasn't too difficult. The ship type was named after former Grand Master Jac Cotelin so the ship's name should naturally reflect one his best qualities. Jac always fought for the rights of those he served. Verpine EM1: The Verpine Electromagnetic (EM) Shield Package is a EM resistant defensive capability designed to withstand ion blasts and electromagnetic attacks. EM1 utilizes dissipation properties spread across a ship’s exterior to defend against crippling EM attacks.
