Vessel Info

Won by House Arcona during the first Rite of Supremacy, when Arcona was crowned First House of the Brotherhood. It was wagered against Satal Keto for the Modified Interdictor Orthanc. It bears the affectionate title of “Long Bong”, given by former Galeres Aedile Morth. The Strike Cruiser serves as the clan flagship.

History

Claimed during the first Rite of Supremacy. The Captaincy of the Flagship is an honor bestowed by the Consul of Arcona. This practice has lapsed in recent times, with the Consul taking direct control over the ship as is his right.

Action

The Eye of The Abyss stays in an orbit between Boral and Selen and serves as a custom’s ship and general guardian of Arcona’s home planet.

Trivia

The M/STRKC Eye of the Abyss has an armored ramming prow welded into its structural spine. Given its mass and maximum speed the Eye of the Abyss can feasibly disable larger capital ships by ramming into them (provided their shield generators have been destroyed first). The Eye of the Abyss is also one of only two DJB ships equipped with gravity well generators as a standard feature (the other ship is the M/INT Orthanc).
