Appearance
The Holocron of Nature is almost identical to the traditional Jedi holocron. Emitting a soft green glow, this cubical holocron can be easily held in a Human's hand. The crystal latice - holding the specifics of the Plant Surge technique - was crafted from fragile crystal shards, fused with precious ore in an intricate design. Carbon dating puts the holocron at about two millennia old. This places this soft nature-like artefact around 2,000 BBY, which implies that this could well be the very holocron stolen by Jedi Master Phanius, later known as Darth Ruin.
Function
A technology believed to be handed down from the ancient Sith Ruler Adas - by means of the Rakata's Infinite Empire - to the present Dark Lord of the Sith, the holocron is an invaluable tool. Once properly assembled, the device records the physical and mental characteristics of the holocron's owner; forging a gatekeeper, or guide, through the library of information: history, technique, philosophy and application. Once a Force-sensitive individual activates a holocron, the gatekeeper appears as a three-dimensional, interactive persona to the vault of information; able to quickly recover necessary information, or dictations, depending - in some cases - on the potential of the user. With the proper amount of power and discipline, one could easily tap into the vast deposit of knowledge.
