The Dark Jedi Brotherhood runs on resources that can at times be expensive. The club needs hosting services, domain registrations, and game servers to be a running success. In most cases, the services are donated by members of the Brotherhood. There are, however, some resources needed that do not have individual donors to pay for. As such, the Dark Jedi Brotherhood accepts donations from the membership to pay for the needed services.

In collecting donations, the Dark Brotherhood is committed to making sure that there is public accountability for all uses of the money. As such, the Grand Master has adopted the following regulations.

  1. The Grand Master will accept donations on behalf of the Dark Brotherhood. Donations for DB-wide services should be funneled through the GM’s office.
  2. The Dark Brotherhood accepts donations through PayPal using accounts established by the Grand Master.
    1. PayPal donations coming from a PayPal account or a checking account should be sent to JacCotelin@gmail.com
    2. PayPal donations that are through credit cards should be sent to JacCotelinCC@gmail.com. The distinction is needed in order to avoid a 3% charge on free transactions.
    3. The Dark Brotherhood does not accept Cash and Check donations.
    4. Money orders are accepted. Please email the Grand Master for details.
  3. All donations received will remain in the PayPal account until they are needed to pay for a service or to reimburse a member. The Grand Master will not transfer any funds to sit in an outside checking or savings account.
  4. Donors are to email the GM, DGM, JST when they send in money (to ensure that multiple persons are aware of all donations).
  5. After the deposit, the Grand Master must immediately send an email to the donor confirming their donation with a copy of the PayPal deposit receipt. All emails are sent (or CC'd) to the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, and Justicar for confirmation of the donation.
  6. Server payments should be set to direct draw from the account. Service purchasers must forward all emails regarding the purchase to the GM, DGM, and JST, to confirm payment amounts.
  7. The Grand Master will perform a monthly accounting of the PayPal account. This accounting must include an Income Statement and Balance Sheet. The Justicar is responsible for making sure the accounting matches his records.
  8. The Grand Master will post all Income Statements and Balance on the main website.
  9. The Dark Brotherhood is not obligated to reimburse members for Dark Brotherhood-related expenses. The Dark Council must approve all expenditures from the Dark Brotherhood Funds.
  10. It is the policy of the Dark Brotherhood not to reward members for financial contributions to avoid conflicts of interest. The Dark Brotherhood will not reimburse through medal or promotion.
  11. All donations are final.
