The Wards of Clan Scholae Palatinae are a group of four members with specialties in a specific area. Established by Braecen Kaeth, the primary functions of the Wards are to work alongside the Clan Summit to expand CSP in the areas of Gaming, ACC, Run-on Writing, and Character Development.
Fictional Background
The origin of the Wards dates back to Great Jedi War 8. The plan was to assign four trusted individuals to oversee the security and safety of a portion of Judecca, assigning each one to a compass point.
However, as the War went rather less than smoothly, the majority of Judecca was captured and over-run by the Yuuzhan Vong. Clearly, it was impractical to think about such plans then, and the scheme was held off until after the Reclamation Mission, giving the future wards, Cethgus (North), Xen (East), Niemand (West) and Impetus (South), time to plan. Despite the fact that Niemand was killed in the Great Jedi War, the Master re-appeared as a Force Apparition to fulfill his duty as Ward of the West.
Reclamation was far more successful than the War, and Judecca was reclaimed. However, two of the positions were left with problems. Due to Ward of the East Xen'Mordin Vismorsus leaving Scholae Palatinae, a replacement was swiftly appointed in Kat Pridemore.
In addition, prospective Ward of the South Impetus Korin suffered major head and neck injuries towards the closing of the war. Given that she couldn't walk, and was slipping in and out of consciousness for a few days, a temporary was appointed, Xathia dan Locut'Hal. After Impetus returned to full capability, she took Xathia on as an assistant.
From then on, the Four Wards vowed to oversee the safety and protection of their given areas of Judecca.
Individual Positions
Ward of the North
Position Holder: None
Specialty: Gaming
Function:The Ward of the North position is the overseer and clan gaming assistant. As the position is currently empty, it is difficult to tell how this job will be governed by the next Ward of the North.
Duties of this job encompass everything to do with gaming, from advertising brotherhood competitions, to acting as a general first point of call for any gaming problems. A prerequisite is a plethora of knowledge of all, or at least most, brotherhood platforms.
Ward of the East
Position Holder: Kat Pridemore
Specialty: ACC
Function: The Ward of the East is the clan ACC trainer. This position is essential in ensuring the members of CSP have access to the tutelage necessary to advance through the qualification stage of the ACC
The primary duties of this job are to run training battles with and provide comments on the hopeful initiates of the Combat Center from CSP, and also to serve as a trainer for the already qualified, who need a place to hone their skills. The Ward of the East is incredibly experienced in the workings of the ACC, and is an exceptionally skilful combatant.
Ward of the West
Position Holder: Niemand "Duda" Machweg
Specialty: Run-ons
Function: The Ward of the West is the Clan's Run-on organizer and trainer. While this sounds a very trivial position, run-ons are important in the db to create any lengthy fiction piece with a lot of participants, and without a mind at the center of things, they would likely fall apart.
The Ward of the West runs training run-ons to those who are considered needed for training, to make sure important run-ons aren't ruined by errors that could be negated. The Ward of the West is also essential in GJWs, as he / she is the one to take a leading role in the run-on competition.
Ward of the South
Position Holders: Impetus Korin and partner Xathia dan Locut'Hal
Specialty: Character Development / DB Wikipedia
Function The Ward of the South is a Character Development and Wikipedia advisor. Through creation of clan Wiki pages, and working with members on completing their history, the primary function of the Ward of the South is to ensure a solid fictional background behind CSP.
The Ward of the South will organize monthly fiction topics to encourage detailed fictional development in various areas. Other duties include coding CSP Wiki pages, delivering Wiki news to CSP via a bi-weekly report.
