History
Younger cousin of Xenem Terrim, she was born on Falleen and had a relatively uneventful childhood. She spent the majority of her time with her father and learnt the skills she uses now from him. Her mother worked within the court and
was a highly sought after seamstress.
As she grew older she to followed in her father's footsteps though not in the way he had hoped. As a young adult she was overcome with a sense of wanderlust, impulsively she acted upon it and saw to it that she was accepted onto a transport freighter as a new member of the crew.
She eventually worked her way up to security for transporting high value goods across (especially weapon shipments and rations) the New Republic space with a guaranteed delivery. At 26ABY when the Yuuzhan Vong invaded and conquered her home planet she was fortunate enough to be off world, though her mother and father both perished in the battle for their survival.
After the Yuuzhan Vong War she did not settle down in one area for long, living a nomadic life from one job to the next. She lost contact with her surviving family until the Brotherhood recruited her into their organization hoping to make use of her skills.
It was by chance that she reconnected with her cousin, and this along with a yearly income which was almost double what she would earn independently that swayed her decision to join, though deep down she knew that if she declined she would be killed. Xyrais didn't even attempt to delude herself that she would survive but the deep need for control over her own decisions to begin with made her inclined to not agree to the proposal.
Though relatively new within the Brotherhood she was assigned to the AGV Nighthawk as a part of the onboard security reporting directly to Naradas; the newly appointed head of security.
