| Following the defeat of the Mandalorians in 3960 BBY, at the conclusion of the Mandalorian Wars, the surviving members of the various clans scattered throughout space. It wasn’t until around 3955-3953 BBY that one Mandalorian named Canderous Ordo sought to rebuild and reunite the scattered clans once again, solidifying the power of the Mandalorian people. | Their long period of silence ended abruptly in 35 ABY when the Dark Jedi Brotherhood broke out in war once again. The Houses and Clans of the Brotherhood all rallied together against one of their own, House Odan-Urr – the House which follows the Light Side of the Force. Having limited defenses of their own, the leaders of Odan-Urr, along with Brotherhood exile and fellow Jedi Michael Halcyon, hired the Mandalorians of Clan Ordo to come to their aid in standing against the combined forces of the Brotherhood. | | Their long period of silence ended abruptly in 35 ABY when the Dark Jedi Brotherhood broke out in war once again. Born of a culture thousands of years old, the group Ordo's Mercenaries is a loosely affiliated group of warriors, the majority of whom are derived from Clan Ordo. They use tactics and martial ability to defeat their enemies, and those of whom pays them the most, and are quite capable at hit-and-run attacks.
History
The Mandalorians are a group of warriors that seemingly thrived on warfare. Their culture placed a high value on honor and the preservation of their beliefs and way of life.
Formation
- "I think I need something more than killing and fighting in my life. I need a purpose or something like that."
- ―Canderous Ordo, later known as Mandalore the Preserver
Following the defeat of the Mandalorians in 3960 BBY, at the conclusion of the Mandalorian Wars, the surviving members of the various clans scattered throughout space. It wasn’t until around 3955-3953 BBY that one Mandalorian named Canderous Ordo sought to rebuild and reunite the scattered clans once again, solidifying the power of the Mandalorian people. One of these surviving clans was Clan Ordo.
The Dark Wars
- "...if you betray us, I'll kill you. If your weakness causes one of my people to get hurt, I'll kill you. If you slow us down, I'll kill you. Is that clear?"
- ―Veela Ordo, to Revan
Taking place during roughly 3,955-3,951 BBY, the Dark Wars was a period within which there was much conflict. Of particular note were the First Jedi Purge and the Sith Civil War.
The First Jedi Purge and the Sith Civil War took place at roughly the same time (3,954-3,951 BBY and 3,956-3,950 BBY, respectively). During the First Jedi, the Sith Triumvirate, consisting of [[starwars:Darth Traya|Darth Traya[[, Darth Sion, and Darth Nihilus, began to consolidate their power with the surviving members of Revan’s forces of the Sith Empire. After they had accomplished this, they then began to hunt down and exterminate the Jedi that were scattered throughout the galaxy.
The Sith Civil War was a period of infighting between the consolidated forces of the Sith Lords, which now consisted of Sion and Nihilus after they exiled Traya. The aftermath of both the First Jedi Purge and the Sith Civil War saw the destruction of the Sith Triumvirate, the downfall of the Sith Empire, and the ranks of the Jedi nearly being wiped out.
Into the Shadows
- "I mourn our fallen brethren, as I know you all do. However, now is not the time for more conflict; we should gather our people and rebuild our strength. We will be back, but only when the time is ripe."
- ― Unknown Mandalorian leader
In the years since the Dark War, Clan Ordo has tried to stay more to the shadows, slowly building up and consolidating their power. It is unclear as to why this was being done, but there have been many theories regarding this matter. Some people have speculated that perhaps they have been gearing up for something big in the future, even if Clan Ordo does not yet know what that event may be.
More recently, Clan Ordo has become a mercenary group, selling their services to the highest bidder. This line of work has served the Mandalorians well in the past and this time is certainly no exception. With a culture that places honor in such high regard and one that seems to thrive on conflict, it seems like the mercenary way of life fits these people perfectly.
Assisting the Light
- "It is time...time that we emerge from the shadows which have concealed our presence and show the galaxy that the Mandalorians still exist! Time to show them that we are back in full force, and that we will not be forgotten!"
- ―Marex Holidan
Their long period of silence ended abruptly in 35 ABY when the Dark Jedi Brotherhood broke out in war once again. The Houses and Clans of the Brotherhood all rallied together against one of their own, House Odan-Urr – the House which follows the Light Side of the Force. Having limited defenses of their own, the leaders of Odan-Urr, along with Brotherhood exile and fellow Jedi Michael Halcyon, hired the Mandalorians of Clan Ordo to come to their aid in standing against the combined forces of the Brotherhood.

Weapons and Armor
Mandalorians are known to carry weapons that are customized to their specific skill sets. Each warrior is different, thus they carry different weapons. That being said, the Mandalorian fighters share some common equipment. Most notably, Mandalorians wear the same style of armor.
This easily recognizable armor is often made from the legendary metal Beskar. Commonly known as Mandalorian Iron, this metal can deflect blaster bolts and is resistant to lightsaber strikes. This nearly indestructible metal adds to the deadliness of the Mandalorians.
Beyond its strength, Mandalorian Armor is known for its color schemes. Like their weaponry, each warrior’s armor is uniquely painted for the individual. Colors often represent the warrior’s state of mind. Gold, for example, represents vengeance. Green represents duty. Green and blue are two common colors for Mandalorians to wear. Individual markings on the armor represent the Mandalorian’s clan, as well as personal triumphs.
A Mandalorian’s Helmet is full of state of the art equipment. Easily identified by its iconic T-shaped visor, a Mandalorian helmet made them extremely effective killers. Broadband antennae are used to intercept and transmit messages. The state of the art heads up display provides a Mandalorian the ability to record and play back video, a 360 degree view, target tracking, and a range of other abilities. These functions are controlled by eye movements monitored by a complex
In addition to their Armor, almost every Mando uses a jetpack. The Z-6 jet pack provides the warriors with the ability to launch aerial assaults. Containing enough fuel for three 20 second bursts (or 1 minute of sustained flight), the jetpacks were often modified to contain a rocket launcher. Rockets could be replaced with grappling hooks, anti-personnel weaponry, and anti-vehicle devices.
As previously stated, every Mandalorian chooses their weapons in accordance with their skills. That being said, there were often some common weapons used among them. Mandalorians prided themselves on being heavily armed with a wide array of weaponry. Pistols, blaster rifles, missile launchers, and wrist lasers were common among all Mandalorian fighters. Wrist mounted rocket launcher, flame throwers, lasers, and vibroblades were common among warriors.
The Tenloss DX-6 disruptor was a commonly used weapon.
Additionally, many Mandalorians favored the EE-3 carbine blaster. This weapon provided unmatched power and accuracy. The weapon was short barreled and could be easily shouldered. Warriors would often outfit their weapon with a scope, providing them the ability to strike at distance.
Many Mandalorians carried several side-arms. A favorite among them was the Westar-34 blaster pistol. These weapons were often custom made for individuals. The Westar-34 was known for having a powerful shot.
Concussion Grenade launchers are another favorite piece of the Mandalorian arsenal.
Mandalorians were known to use the Wing-Blast Rocket Pack. Unlike their jetpacks, the Rocket Packs were heavily armed single person weapons platforms capable of sustained atmospheric and deep space flight. Armed with heavy blaster cannons, missile launchers, and a full sized Proton Torpedo launcher. These rocket packs were able to cause massive amounts of damage on their targets.
Fleet
Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser Darasuum
Nearly twice the age of those who serve on it, the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser Darasuum has gradually become the lead command ship for Ordo's Mercenaries by way of simple survival and longevity. Battered durasteel welded on top of more battered durasteel make the Darasuum not only slow but quite ugly to look at. Nevertheless, a combination of nostalgia and unquestionable dependability cast a different light on how the Mercenaries view the aged ship. Many who are not deployed upon it wish they were, and few who are wish they were not.
Beyond providing a headquarters for naval command, the Darasuum also serves as a heavy hitter in ship-to-ship confrontations. The ship's armaments have gone through several overhauls, the current configuration being 15 Heavy Turbolasers, 15 Turbolasers, 10 Quad laser cannons, and a pair of Concussion Missile Launchers. Another modification, though common, was that of extensive upgrades to the ship's control systems, getting rid of the need for massive amount of crew members. Lastly, the Darasuum is also home to the Gra'tuar, a squadron of StarViper-class Fighters piloted by only the most gifted starfighter pilots in Ordo's Mercenaries.
Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser Parjai
Originally purchased in a failed attempt to replace the Darasuum, the Parjai is also a Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser manufactured at the tail end of the Dreadnaught's prime. An impressive list of upgrades and technological advancements, however, could not prevail against the Ordo Mercenaries' love for the Darasuum. Nonetheless, the Parjai has served admirably as a very capable sister ship, its advanced sensor packaging and more nimble maneuverability helping to offset some of the Darasuum's weaknesses.
The upgraded Dreadnaught's original armaments have thus far been left unchanged, leaving it with 20 Light quad turbolaser cannons, 15 Turbolaser batteries, and 15 Turbolaser cannons. The Parjai has, however, foregone any upgrades in terms of starfighter storage. Such space has alternatively been used to house various landing craft and armored transports.
Task Force Ara'novor
Task Force Ara'novor is composed of the Fleet's sole Keldabe-class battleship and a pair of Strike-class medium cruisers. While the two Dreadnaughts provide the bulk of the firepower, Task Force Ara'novor's purpose is often to spearhead ship-to-ship engagements, using their greater maneuverability in flanking and pincer movements to out position enemy forces. The Keldabe-class battleship, although having few batteries, is outfitted with 3 squadrons of Y-wing Bombers, affording it the ability to pound the opposition with large payloads of various bombs and missiles. Alternatively, the Striker Cruisers only house a single squad of E-wing starfighters a piece, relying on their Turbolaser batteries to deal out the bulk of their damage while saving space for supplies and ground-based vessels.
Task Force Chekar
A triplet of Crusader-Class Corvettes combined with a second triplet of Gallofree GR-75 medium transports makes up the Fleet's second Task Force, named Chekar. Packed tightly with as many warriors, weapons, and foodstuffs as possible, Task Force Chekar is primarily utilized for dynamic ground assaults. This isn't to say, however, that Chekar serves no purpose in space combat. While lacking much in the way of ship-to-ship weaponry, Task Force Chekar is also used to ward off smaller craft such as fighters and light freighters.
The Shabla Kote
Even though a full wing of fighters are permanently housed in the Fleet's various ships, an ever changing number of starfighters make up a secondary "wing," called the Shabla Kote. Lacking in the rigid, military uniformity of the more permanent wing, the Shabla Kote are a mish mosh of any and all starfighter designs, from the worst bastardized ugly designs to even a couple of Tie Defenders. The Shabla Kote's pilots, too, are a reflection of their own ships, ranging from the most disciplined of warriors to the most vile of fools. Nevertheless, this wing of starfighters tend to get results, though a debate rages amongst the Mercenaries whether it's due to tenacity or insanity.
The sole prerequisite for membership in the Shabla Kote is that the pilot's ship must have a functional hyperdrive, as none of the carrier ships will have them. As of the most recent count, the Shabla Kote has 52 starfighters.

War Beasts
- "Respect the Great Beasts of War. Honor them. Fear them."
- ―Merc Leader Marex Holidan
The mercenaries have brought with them a variety of beasts of war to assist in the defense of New Tython as well as to help in the offense.
Zakkegs
- "Jedi cannot stop them. Often times, neither can we"
- ―Baniss A'kazz, Beastmaster
Zakkegs are excellent pack animals, or animals that will carry supplies/weaponry or a few troops in/out. Zakkegs are immune to most Force powers. They are tough and covered in spikes and horns and make an excellent transport animal. Originally coming from Dxun, the Zakkegs prove a difficult beast to kill as by design they have natural armor. Zakkegs are like a living transport.
Zakilla is the favorite Zakkeg of the group, he's strong, sure footed and seen many a battle. Many Forces users have tried to cause harm, confusion or fear in Zakilla, no to avail. He's usually the first in and last out of the animals and doesn't get spooked or seem to be affected by the pressures of war.
Orbalisks
- "They feel the power of the dark side within you"
- ―Darth Bane explains the orbalisks reaction to Zannah's touch.
Against the strong Force users that might be keeping to the shadows, or fighting from the darkness; the Orbalisks have been brought in. Orbalisks are barnacle-like creatures, native to the Beast Moon of Dxun. They feed off of Dark Side Energy pumping chemicals into the blood that increase rage, anger, and fury. Once they are killed, the Orbalisks kill the 'host' by putting toxins into the victim, a simple shot to an Orbalisk would be enough for the venom to be released.
Orbaslisks are on an essential suicide mission, and while their service is appreciated; no one gets so close to these creatures as to name them. They will often be given a series of letters and numbers for identification purposes, but nothing more personal than that.
Maalrass
- "Release the Maalrass!"
- ―Merc Leader Marex Holidan ordering the Maalrass to war
Maalrass are small feline-like predators that come from the forest moon of Dxun; They have large fangs that come out of their round heads. Hunting in packs, they may be a relative to the nighthunters. The Maalrass can be used for tracking as well as going out in a pack to eliminate a variety of enemies as the Mercenaries would 'release the Maalraas'.
Furrotio is the favorite, almost the mascot of the Maalraas. Furrotio is the undisputed Alpha male of the pack. He's been the leader of the group for a few years and none of the other Maalrass have been suitable to even consider challenging him for the title. Furrotio's relationship with the commander/handler is so close, it's believed they communicate telepathically, but there's been no confirmation of this.
Furrotio is practially the stuff of legends. He stands 1.5 meters tall while on all fours and nearly 2.5 meters on his hind legs. And with brown and green scales, he has natural camoflauge. He is a strong ferocious beast when in battle. Rumor has it that in his down time that Furrotio likes chewing on nerf rib bones and sitting by the fire.
Planet
Planet Ordo
Ordo was the original homeworld of the Mandalorian Clan Ordo.
Description
Ordo was mostly a desert world nearly completely barren. The limited vegetation that grew on this world was primarily on the equator. There were also limited water recources on this planet because of the harsh desert world. It was murky and filled with sand that the only way to drink the water was to purify it. Sand dunes covered most of the world with extremely scattered oasis. Very few people inhabited this planet, save for some very dangerous creatures that roamed the planet.
History
The history of the planet Ordo is a muddled mess. Because of the harsh environment, there were countless battles and wars over the limited vegetation. Because the equator was virtually the only area that was inhabitable, the few species that lived or immigrated to Ordo fought over those area's desperately. In the end, the Mandalorian's conquered the native species to build their own settlements up.
Inhabitants
Species that live on planet Ordo have all immigrated there. Most people avoid this planet, especially after the Mandalorian's took over and made it their base.
Former Base Dxun
Dxun, or more commonly called the Demon Moon, was the largest moon around the planet Onderon. It was covered in primarily a large jungle that was inhabited by various species that one would not want to come across.
Description
This planet had constant rain downpour, making the planet have a usualy wet climate. Despite these climate issues, the temperature was decent and Dxun was quite habitable when one looked at its terrain. There were however, many deadly creatures that lived in the humongous jungle, such as bomas, cannoks, drexls, maalraas, skreevs and zakkegs. Because of these creatures, the inhabitants were forced to always be armed for defense.
History
After the Beast Wars, the body of Freedon Nadd, a former Dark Lord of the Sith was moved to the moon of Dxun to keep other Sith from using its power that ended well except for Exar Kun and Darth Bane. There was then the Mandalorian Wars in which the Mandalorians took control over the moon when Mandalore the Ultimate took leadership of the Mandalorians. This war was brutal, killing thousands in which after the battle, the Rebublic left the Mandalorian structers, as well as not being able to find the many hidden store rooms full of weapons that were supposedly put there by the Mandalorians.
Inhabitants
Mostly a very few Mando's live here on the base, the rest of the inhabitants of this moon are lone survivalist that have immigrated here for solitude that do not mind the occasional threat of a creature attempting to kill you. These are usually hardened war heroes or criminals that can fend for themselves. The Mando's do not usually see these people as threats.
Garrison
The Mandalorian Mercenaries were hired by Michael Halcyon from the Clan Ordo, therefore, their base of operations is a series of large structures built up together to form a weak fortress. The smaller structures housing useless supplies around the outer rim, while the bigger structures and more valuable necessities and supplies towards the center. The entire camp was roughly 2km in radius, square around the main tent in the center.
Layout
The layout of the camp was set as a clock face. This was built on the equator of the planet for optimal weather. There are four sections, Zeta, Gamma, Omega, and Sigma. Each section had a designated area of expertise, with the center of all three the area specified as the War Room and base of operations. Around the area was a shield generator, therefore protecting the Manalorian's from aerial assault.
Zeta
This section was designated as the rim around the other three sections. These were the structures that housed some four shield generators to protect the camp. Without these, the Mandalorian's would be easy prey for a simple bomb raid. The outer rim of structures created a boundary for their camp to and from the outside world.
Gamma Sector
This was the area that was specifically designated for the daily necessities of the troops. This had three sub sections. This housed sections from one o'clock to four o'clock.
- Section 1, One o'clock was the Bunker section. This was a medium sized tent that housed the cots and sleeping area for the Mando's. There were also designated areas for facilities.
- Section 2, Two o'clock was the Mess Hall. It was right next to the Bunks.
- Section 3, Three o'clock was the offices were housed for small planning, not nearly as large as the War Room tent. Specific things were discussed here that were not for the Jedi's ears.
- Section 4, Four o'clock was area where Quarter Master Office where the bulk of weapons (non personal) were stored with extra ammunition. This was where the backup generator was held to keep the shield up for a few minutes in case the main square was destroyed.
Omega Sector
Next to the Quarter Master Bunker was stationed, was the designated area for the Firing Range. To keep from any accidents, this area was fairly large.
- Section 5, Five o'clock to Nine o'clock was the large area in order to test weapons, fix them, practice and in general test them out. The large area was big enough so that nothing was close enough or accidents to occur.
Sigma Sector
This was the last section that was designated for the medic tent and supply store.
- Section 6, ten o'clock to 12 o'clock was the area that housed supplies for everything needed other than weapon supplies. The Medical tent was also here for necessity, because no matter how good you are, injuries occur.
Delta Sector
This sector was completely separate from the rest and not set in the square. This was the biggest section on the planet because it housed shops, armory stores; cantina's and most importantly, farms.
- Section 7, this was a new square that was .6km away from the settlement that housed the entertainment section as well as food production for animals and crops. The stores varied between restaurants, cantinas, armor/weapons specialty and living upgrades. The farms took up two thirds of the entire area because the settlement needed to be self sustaining, the Mandalorian's do not want their location known by many, therefore, they cannot import food and other necessities for daily life. With these farms, crops were grown for vegetables, grains as well as animals for protein. In this sector, there is also a water purifying plant so that the very few lakes could be available to the troops. This way, there could be no harmful bacteria in it after being cleaned and ready to drink.
