Kora is a female force sensitive Togruta currently serving Clan Vizsla. She was raised by a Nightsister Mother on Dathomir after her biological mother was kidnapped, experimented on with both Sith Alchemy and Nightsister Magick, and killed after Kora's birth.

Early Life

Discovering the Truth

In 36 ABY, Mara led Kora into a previously unseen room lined with shelves containing Mara's old experiments, some that Kora remembered and shied away from. As Mara gathered the necessary items to preserve Kora's failed experiment with Possession, Kora began to wander the rows, the Force pulling her towards what seemed to be a Bacta tank. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that it was not Bacta, though it did contain someone. Using the Force to bring the body closure, Kora was surprised to find a dead Togruta floating in the liquid. Worse yet, that dead Togruta looked very much like an older version of her.

Curiosity won out over fear, and she questioned her mother who the woman in the tank was. Almost calously, Mara described finding the woman on Shili and manipulating her with magick to come to Dathomir. The Togruta, still unnamed by Mara, was "strong willed and spirited, always trying to escape", perfect for Mara's experiments. Eventually she couldn't hide the fact she was pregnant any more and it opened whole new experiments for Mara to test, combining Sith Alchemy with Nightsister Magick. And once Kora was born and showing signs of being a Force User, the woman was no longer needed.

In a wave of uncontrolled rage and fire, Kora destroyed shelves upon shelves of the storage room and ran.

She didn't make it far, with no way off of Dathomir, but despite mentally berating herself, she vowed that she would not be her mother and that she would escape no matter the cost .

Escaping Dathomir

In late 40 ABY, a Nautolan pirate going by the name of Scylla made an emergency landing near the Nightsister village in a G-1A Starfighter. Sensing a good opportunity presenting itself for escape, Kora took her chances and set multiple timed detonators and gathered her things and some credits. Amidst the confusion, she ran into the Nightbrother she had made friends with as a child, sent to make sure she stayed put. She pleaded with him to come with her....to no avail. He did let her go though and she ran.

Once she made it to the ship, it was easy to sneak on board. The Nautolan was alone and distracted by the sudden explosions in the near distance. Using the Force, she concealed herself in the cargo hold until the ship had taken off. Curiosity getting the better of her, she crept out to get a better look out of the viewport and watch Dathomir fall away. It wasn't long after a jump into hyperspace before the Nautolan discovered her, staring out the viewport in awe of this newfound galaxy. A scuffle and argument ensued and ended with Scylla taking pity on the young woman who was clearly out of her depth.

Joining Up with Kindle, Azler, and Michina

In 41 ABY, Kora was in a cantina on Denon, drinking heavily and tinkering with her explosives and building new ones, when she made a mistake and set one to detonate. With barely enough time to throw it and cover herself, mostly due to her force powers, she was able to survive the explosion relatively unscathed. The cantina, however, did not.

Kora raced through the streets, chased after by Denon security officers, before colliding in to a Barabel/Feeorin hybrid, Kindle Singean and his companion, a Echani/Human hybrid, Azler Wilder. She told them that she would pay any amount of credits they wanted, just to get her away from the cops. They did so, spiriting her away and taking her to their ship where she also met Azler's adopted Firrerreo daughter, Michina Delasyn. They became a pseudo-escort for her around the galaxy, though she would help out in their mercenary work - depending on the job. She would often try to get them to not take jobs for runaways that seemed to have similar circumstances to hers, though success was dependent entirely on their current funds at the time.

During this 'escort' time, Kindle began talking to Kora about her powerful aura with the the Force, figuring out how much that she knew, and eventually offering to take her on as an apprentice to teach her more. She agreed, her curiosity about the Force, despite all that had happened in her childhood, and even more curiosity about the Barabel/Feeorin, getting the better of her. It wasn't long before feelings for each other became undeniable and they started a relationship together and Kora joined the crew full time.
