The Tecave Villa is located fifty miles on the outskirts of Castle Arx Ondorii. It is the Villa commissioned for Robin Hawk upon becoming Countess of Clan Scholae Palatinae. She had it designed to not only accompany herself, as a place to rest and relaxation, but also to house an Arboretum with labs and climate controlled rooms. Occasionally Robin would invite guests over to her Villa, as there is room to sleep a max of ten people. It also makes for a great meeting place or a retreat for Equites and above. When there are no guests present, she allows her two soldier honor guard and family to stay at the Villa.

Description

Coming in from the cold Caina air, one is welcomed by the open and spacious foyer. It is noted to be very open concept and the big windows and glass doors help with that theme. To the left and right is comfortable seating, allowing anyone to sit and enjoy a good chat with a friend or coworker or read a book long forgotten. To the left and right, further into the room, is a pair of spiral staircases leading up to the East and West Wings and for convenience, two lifts are provided for those not wishing to strain themselves. In the center is a tree which is planted in a round tiled container seamlessly attached to the floor. Behind the tree is a set of two double glass doors letting in tones of light into the foyer. Above that is a balcony presume to be joined to the master bedroom, a great welcoming spot for the owner to great her guests.

Going through any one of the double glass doors, brings you out onto a patio located underneath the master bedroom and into the Arboretum. Artificial sunlight is provided, simulating a skylight to compensate for the overhang but unrecognized as so and a perfect place to enjoy a cup of caf. Starring out into the center of the Arboretum, one notices many different plants and flowers, but prominently it is filled with trees and bushes. One central tree dominates the enclave and a plaque at the base, indicates that the building was built around this tree. Evidence of size and care arbitrates this and as well, the giant roots extruding from the ground and around the base. It is said that the tree looks very much like a miniature version of the Grandfather tree.

Directly on the left and right, near the patio, are two research labs. Giant glass windows make up most of the wall's surface allowing anyone working inside the feeling of being outdoors. With a flick of a switch, the windows fill with a cloudy gas making the windows go from translucent to opaque. This allows any secret research to be protected from prying eyes.

Further along, on either side of the Arboretum, is two unique rooms both attached to the labs consecutively. One room is a freezer, being cold controlled and the other is a hot room which is hot and humid, also attached to these climate controlled chambers are storage rooms. Plants, food, equipment, linens and anything else the Villa requires is located in these two areas. At the far end of the Arboretum, against the wall is a fish pond, keeping with the Clans theme, and having some sort of animal present. The last feature of the Arboretum is that it has a glass ceiling, which lets in the light and heat of Caina's sun. It also helps with the growth of the vegetation and seems to give positive healing to its guests.

Taking either the lift or the spiral staircase brings you to the second floor. The first two sets of doors are marked Master Suite, belonging to the Villas proprietor and for which only the exclusive are invited. Heading down the hall brings you to the guest Suites. In total, there are four Suites. Two in the West Wing and two in the East. Each room is very spacious and can accompany one to two people. Each Suite includes all amenities necessary, a refresher and a shared deck, which looks out onto the Arboretum. The wall separating the Suite and the deck is almost entirely a glass window and like the labs, can be made translucent or opaque with a flick of a switch.

Special occasions have led partnered members of the Brotherhood to ask Robin for the use of her guests rooms as a lovers retreat or to help put the “oomph” back into their relationship. Depending on whom it is and when she is or isn't there, she doesn't mind.

Taking another lift, at the far end of the hall, brings one down into the Grand Hall and Meeting Room. Centered, is one massive table which accompanies ten people. Guests are welcomed to eat there or can eat in their rooms. This is negated though when a specific invitation by Robin is given. At the North end of the Grand Hall is a giant fireplace and at the South end, on the other side of the table is a water wall. A glass wall which steadily drips water along its surface, back lit with a continuous wave of colors. Over in the East end of the Grand Hall is a bar, allowing a wide range of selected refreshments.

Beyond the Great Hall is a passage and attached is two rooms, the droid control and recharge room and the galley. It is an area guest do not require venturing, though there has been the occasion when one sneaks down to the galley for a midnight snack.

As the Villa is fairly new, it still requires some additional furniture, plantings and decor. Plans for the future include; a weapons locker, hidden bunker, an activity center and place for outdoor equipment rental (skies, snowshoes and toboggans), which is of course free for its owner and guests.

History

The Tecave Villa was named after a Cerean city known for its tecave grass and its Guilea “medicinal” properties. Robin named the Villa after an interesting conversation she had with a fellow Cerean CSP member. She became very interested in his planet and hoped to one day visit it for research purposes and try to import such grass, though almost impossible.

After Robin Hawk's desertion from the Clan, her villa was sold off by the House to the highest bidder. It is now an eco-friendly resort, where many visiting dignitaries stay if they are not able to do so at Arx Ondorii.
