Born some time before the Battle of Yavin, Naradas was raised to be a solid Imperial patriot, entering Imperial Army service upon his 18th birthday in 1 ABY, serving in a variety of posts as the war against the Rebellion and its successor state, the New Republic progressed. Eventually he was appointed to run an Imperial prison station deep within the Deep Core, where he encountered a Barabel prisoner named Zakath. After a staged revolt by Zakath and his fellow prisoners, which Naradas and his men swiftly crushed, he discovered that Zakath had killed his family and made good his escape.
Vowing revenge, Naradas soon transferred to Imperial Intelligence and eventually became an skilled covert operative, dispatched to do operations on New Republic and neutral held worlds to secure information and carry out covert operations raids on military targets, all the while using his resources to pursue Zakath across the galaxy. Eventually this led to the discovery of his own Force skills and soon after, the existence of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.
Naradas trained his Force skills in secret, fearing what would happen if the Imperial Renmant learned of his capabilities. Although he was never able to truly harness his abilities, Naradas was able to learn the basic skills of the Force, enough to disguise his intentions when he eventually managed to disguise himself and infiltrate Zakath's inner circle, seeking an opportunity to assassinate the Barabel Sith. The opportunity soon presented itself when Zakath undertook a ritual designed to prolong his life, and Naradas sent off the Barabel into the netherworld with a literal backstab to Zakath's back with his lightsaber.
Having killed Zakath, Naradas soon joined the Dark Brotherhood himself, claiming Zakath's position and possessions as his own by right of conquest.
