Jade Sadow also known as Jen or even Jade to her friends has been in the DB since at least 1997. Although the Dark Brotherhood is all consuming, the person behind the character Jade has a busy schedule, and like a transformer there is more to her then meets the eye.

The Real Jade

Jen is the girl who all her friends come to when they need support or just someone to listen, it is something she carries over into the DB with her dealings and is honored to call those she has met in the Dark Brotherhood friends.

Jobs

Still within university Jen is finishing off her Science degree thinking about heading into a Masters in Cellular Molecular Biology as well as completing her LSAT exam and heading into Law. Originally she wanted to be a veterinarian. That idea is still alive but she is currently running through many options.

Published Author

A little over a year ago Jen published a book called Mysterious Places. It is technically deemed a paranormal romance as it deals with vampires, however the book has more action then a typical romance book. It can currently be found on all major websites, and book stores, including Amazon, Borders and Chapters.

She is currently working on the sequel to the first book which has been half done since the other book got published, she just finds she has little time to continue writing it at the moment.

Gold Award

One of Jens biggest accomplishments this year was finally receiving her Gold Level Award from the Duke of Edinburgh Award. This is a challenge to Young Canadians up to age 24. It involves community work (Volunteering), working on a skill (Jen choose music for this), working on a sport (Horseback riding was choice here), exercise, camping, and adventurous journey (of at least 4 nights), as well as an cultural exchange. It had 3 levels of Bronze, Silver, and Gold and at each level when there is a member of royalty that comes to the country they will hand out your award. This year I was pleased to receive my award from Prince Edward, whose, for some reason, accent surprised me. But he was really down to earth, even stayed after the ceremony to talk personally with each award recipient.

Baffin Island with the Duke

Managing to be chosen for a once in a life time trip she joined 5 others, whom she had never really met before or normally hung out with, as was a requirement, up north to Baffin Island. Here they spent just over a week hiking in the still geologically active area as well as learning about the culture up there.

It was a great experience to not only have to cross freezing glacier rivers, walking on sand that felt more like skin, listening to rocks tumble down the mountain side you were currently base camped at, as well as waking up in the morning to listen to the glaciers break off and fall down the mountain valley. But also to have one on one experience with another culture who showed you a completely different style of life, food, and interesting games.

Those she went with all miss the experience and they all hope to eventually have a reunion trip taking a longer hike that hopefully won’t be interrupted by polar bears like the previous time.

Groups Leadership

Girl Guides

Jen is part of many groups, especially loving the Girl Guides of Canada. Having gone through this program herself she returned later to teach kids of all ages various skills from everyday things to survival. Her last year was a Pathfinder Leader which involved taking a bunch of teenagers down to California to the normal tourist attractions from Disneyland to Sea World. It was FANTASTIC, of course with a bunch of teenagers it did present it’s problems. However everything worked out, and the group still talks about all the interesting times from giant werewolves to going on a hunt to find the elusive Mickey Mouse.

Currently she is in charge of the camp grounds for the group. In charge of bookings holding the keys, making sure people use the areas right etc.

Police

A while ago Jen also volunteered with her city Police. She is currently in the processes of getting back into volunteering with them since her schedule has become less hectic.

Hobbies

Music

Music is a big part of her life from singing to learning the guitar Jen is always involving music. She is currently even trying her hand at writing music, as well as getting back into a recording studio.

Entering the Brotherhood

Originally she was surfing the net and came across the DB site. The original site was rather odd leaving the first impression to show it to be a cult. Even her friends agreed. Joining as a thing to do as it was Star Wars, she found the ways to be rather difficult to really get into, so after staying a few years she left only to come back a few years later.

History of the Jade Name

Jades original name was Imperial. She wanted something to relate to Star Wars but didn’t want a cannon name which at the time was still allowed. It wasn’t until the past 2 years that the name was actually changed to Jade, even though many in the DB did call her Jade before the change.

Then name Jade actually came from an accident. Jen rides horses, it is her faviourte sport to do, however a few years ago she had a very bad fall where she cracked a couple ribs as well as some amnesia. She didn’t feel like the same person so changed her name to Jade, but kept her last name as imperial so it would relate to her original name. Though her name actually says Jades due to the cannon name of Jade, the s is really silent with the name pronounced as Jade.

Meeting up with another member of the DB named Ylith Atema she became part of his fictional family with Tyren. Their characters married giving her his last name of Atema. Still wanting to keep the imperial for old times she kept it as a middle name of sorts becoming Jade Imperial Atema.

The Atema family really helped to rocket the Jade character, through getting the original contact through very interesting turn of events. Through these turn of events Jen kept he Jade character working for the clan, trying to better it both fictionally as well as non fictionally. During the GJW 9 : Unification she was given the Clan name of Sadow, thus proudly morphing her name to Jades A Sadow.

The 9th Great Jedi War saw many trials and strife’s for Jade.

Brotherhood Positions

Jen became more then addicted to IRC as well as the DB events taking on every competition that she could, gaining ranks as well as friends. Before this great wave of activity form her return Jen had been a House Envoy, as well as Battle Team Leader. However since her taking on the new activity wave she moved from Battle Team Leader of the Night Hawks, to Roll Master of House Marka Ragnos, to Aedile of Marka Ragnos to Quastor of Marka Ragnos. She also had a very close running for PMAA which was something she would have enjoyed but still had fun with the application process.
