Trials of the Novice

Trial of the Underling

The Apprentice will:

  • Create a Character Sheet so they can be entered into the Archives.

Trials of the Disciple

Trial of Basic Knowledge

The Novice will:

  • Successfully complete the Dark Brotherhood Basics Course.
  • Successfully complete any four (4) of the Journeyman Hall Courses.

Trial of Voice

The Novice will:

  • Learn to communicate by Logging onto IRC.
  • Visit the Odan-Urr channel.
  • Register on the DB Forum and create a post introducing him/her self to the House.

Trials of the Protector

Trial of Records

The Disciple will:

  • Register with the Dark Brotherhood Wiki page.
  • Create an outline of his/her character fiction. This can be approved by the Rollmaster, Quartermaster or the Master of the Disciple.

Trial of the Combatant

The Disciple will:

  • Show he/she is willing, by participating in three (3) competitions.
  • Completion of the Antei Combat Center Basics Course.
  • Any eight (8) Journeyman Hall Courses.

Trials of the Defender

Trial of the Path

The Protector will:

  • Remain a Protector for two (2) weeks.
  • Complete his/her Order Core Exam.
  • Continue writing his/her character fiction bringing the word count up to 750.

Trial of Further Knowledge

The Protector will:

  • Further his/her knowledge by completing any twelve (12) Shadow Academy Courses.
  • Reach Rank 2 of any one (1) or more of the following Societies: Shadow Academy - Grand Master's Royal Guard - Antei Combat Centre.

Trials of the Padawan

Trial of Insight

The Defender will:

  • Remain a Defender for three (3) weeks.
  • He/she will continue working on his/her character fiction bringing the word count up to 1000.

Trial of the Young Knight

The Defender will:

  • Have participated in a total of five (5) competitions.
  • Place(1st, 2nd or 3rd) in at least two (2) of them.
  • Gain skills in leadership by completing the Leadership Fundamentals Shadow Academy Course.
  • With the help of his/her Master will organize and run a competition.
  • Successfully complete a project assigned to them by the Summit or any Subunit Leader earning them a Merit Medal.
  • Reach Rank 3 of any one (1) or more of the following Societies: Shadow Academy - Grand Master's Royal Guard - Antei Combat Centre.

Trials of Knighthood

In order to qualify to begin the trials, the Padawan MUST have the following:

  • Four (4) weeks at Padawan.
  • One (1) Merit Medal.
  • One (1) Crescent, Nova, or two (2) Legion of the Scholar.

Trial of Combat

The Padawan will:

  • Have participated in a total of eight (8) competitions.
  • Have earned a total of two (2) Crescents OR 75 Clusters of Fire.

Trial of Clear Knowledge

The Padawan will:

  • Earn any Shadow Academy Maven Degree
  • Reach Rank 4 in the Shadow Academy Society

Trial of the Leader

The Padawan will:

  • Run two (2) competitions WITHOUT the assistance of his/her Master.
  • Have successfully completed two (2) Shadow Academy Leadership Courses.

Trial of the Chronicler

The Padawan Will:

  • Create a quality Wiki article.
  • Earn a second Merit Medal.

Trial of Inner Darkness

The Padawan will:

  • Continue to work on his/her character fiction bringing the word count up to at least 1500 words.
  • Include in the character fiction researched information pertaining to the culture of the species chosen, certain life events and how they have shaped the Jedi. Reference to his/her Order will aid in telling the story.
  • Look deep inside his/her self to find Inner Darkness. This journey can take any form. The Darkness must manifest itself in someway and the Padawan must overcome it.
