The Thanatos Garrison is a large training facility that is the most crucial academy for ground forces in the Dajorra System. Named after Consul Emeritus Strategos Thanatos Entar Arconae, the academy was established to train the ground forces of Arcona so that across Dajorra all the troops were up to the same standards, unlike the mismatched force before the academy was established.
Layout
The Thanatos Training Academy is a plain rectangular structure, massive in size due to the scale of students attending the training academy. Most soldiers only attend for a year and a half to two years, before being drafted into the various divisions of the ground forces or transferring to another academy for further training. It is four stories, with about 3,000 cadets at any time. These cadets are boarded in the top two floors, with the 1,000 division troopers stationed there on the second floor barracks.
Administrative Facility
On the western side of the first floor, the administrative facilities are located. There, the headmaster of the training academy, Major Kenzeth Bingham, and his staff oversee the education and conditioning of the thousands of students there, as well as the security of Arconae Secundus as a whole. As the main military base on the planet, the Thanatos Garrison plays a pivotal role in the planet's defense.
Barracks
The barracks areas are tight at the Thanatos Garrison, barely enough to host the 10,000 total troops on Arconae Secundus, even though the facility itself can house four thousand. All the barracks are located on the first floor, most in the eastern wing of the garrison. There are smaller quarters for the commissioned officers of the Brigades, and those are in the west.
Storage
There is a separate storage facility, a large building to the north of the garrison. In that facility, the vast amount of vehicles are contained. In storage is also the crucial equipment the division stationed on Arconae Secundus needs, arms and armor. The Quartermaster is charged with overseeing the efficient storage of the equipment.
Spaceport
Being the main Arconan base on the planet, there is a private spaceport exclusively for military use. Located on the southern end of the campus, it is an impressive spaceport, as it has to be able to receive troop dropships and transports to transfer cadets back and forth. There is also a small hangar at the spaceport, hosting a few transports for routine staff transportation and starfighters for planetary defense.
