Taka "Doc" Kuroshin is an veteran officer with the 9th Nihilgenia.

Brief History

One of the first batches of clone soldiers bred for the Keibatsu Nihilgenia, CM-117 was initially trained as a combat medic for the First Nihilgenia and was called "Doc" as a nickname by his fellows. Dispatched to help secure the ruins of Kuroshin Castle on Kyataru, the unit took severe losses. One of only several survivors of his squad, CM-117 was pulled from the front and set to attend to the other survivors, where his aptitude with medicine was noted. Given the name 'Taka' by Nekura Manji Keibatsu, CM-117 took the surname of the Castle so many of his brothers perished defending, helping to spawn a Nihilgenia tradition.

As the Kyataran campaign waned, Doc was sent to complete his medical training, earning a doctorate before returning with the Keibatsu to Amahara Castle after a terrorist attack by the Suukou Bodai. Earning Jaig Eyes in the subsequent battles, Doc was offered a choice in reassignment from the First. Choosing to retrain as a pilot for the Ninth Nihilgenia, Doc was sent to the Fallen Spear, where he serves to this day.

Demeanor

Doc is a capable fighter pilot and a trained doctor, but his heart is in the combat that he was bred for. He lives for the thrill of it, sometimes too eager to get into the battlefield and test his mettle. Beneath his armor, his left arm is completely sleeved in commemorative tattoos, memorializing lost brothers and serving as a chronicle of his life that now stretches onto his back. Adding to the extensive mural with every intense experience, Doc always uses much of his rest and recovery time getting additional ink done. Those who have witnessed this have wondered if the clone is addicted, either to the tattoo process or to the adrenaline.

Doc is older than his years based on the Kaminoan accelerated aging process and a brief lifetime of intense experiences. Worried that his body won't be able to continue at the rate he is going, Doc has begun to research ways to halt or even reverse his aging, or at the very least the effects of it. Given the Doctor's access to Force Wielders and Alchemists that being an officer of the Nihilgenia affords him, his concerns threaten to become an obsession.

Abilities

Doc is an actual doctor, capable of handling himself in a proper medical center or hospital, even if his life experiences have denied him the ability to practice in such sterile scenarios, much preferring the havoc of the battlefield or the cramped nature of a ship medbay. He is also a capable fighter pilot, the result of retraining and reassignment to the Fallen Spear.

Chief among his abilities and drives is his capacity with blasters. Raised on Kamino with stories of the ARC troopers, Doc will emulate these stories by wading into battle with his favored two DC-17 pistols, falling back on his grenades and M5 to deal with exceptionally tough targets.
