Overview
Putra is a former First Order combat engineer and veteran instructor within the Stormtrooper Corps. Born during the era of the Battle of Yavin to loyal Imperial parents, he was raised among the Imperial remnants that fled into the Unknown Regions following the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
Disciplined, reserved, and deeply conditioned by military life, Putra dedicated himself to service within the First Order despite never achieving his childhood dream of becoming a TIE pilot. Over decades of service he became a respected engineering specialist and instructor known for professionalism, tactical competence, and calm leadership under pressure.
During a live training accident, Putra saved a recruit from a catastrophic explosives mishap, sacrificing his lower leg in the process. Though permanently injured, he continued serving as an instructor and mentor within the Stormtrooper Corps.
Near the destruction of Starkiller Base, Putra was critically injured aboard a First Order support vessel and placed into deep bacta suspension during an emergency evacuation. Before he could recover, the vessel suffered catastrophic damage during the battle and was abandoned, drifting for nearly a decade on failing emergency systems.
In 44 ABY, the derelict vessel was discovered by members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, who recovered Putra from medical suspension.
Upon awakening, Putra learned that:
- Starkiller Base had been destroyed
- Supreme Leader Snoke had been killed
- Kylo Ren was dead
- the First Order had collapsed
- the Hosnian system had been annihilated

Overwhelmed by the revelation that his entire world ended while he slept, Putra entered a state of severe psychological shock. Despite this, his first instinct remained unchanged: locate surviving personnel, regroup with his unit, and report for duty.
Biography
Early Life:
Putra was born in 1 ABY during the height of the Galactic Civil War. His father served as a mid-ranking officer within the Imperial Navy while his mother worked as an administrator within the Imperial government.
Following the death of the Emperor after the Battle of Endor, Putra’s family joined Imperial loyalists fleeing into the Unknown Regions under secret contingency operations. Raised within isolated Imperial remnant colonies and military settlements, Putra grew up in a culture defined by discipline, sacrifice, and loyalty to the ideals of order and stability.
As a child, Putra idolized Imperial pilots and dreamed of serving as a TIE pilot like many of the naval officers he admired growing up. However, due to failing advanced flight qualification evaluations, Putra was deemed unsuitable for high-performance starfighter operations. Though physically capable, subtle deficiencies in depth perception and spatial tracking prevented him from entering pilot training programs. The rejection became a defining emotional wound in his life.
Military Service
Unable to become a pilot, Putra instead enlisted within the First Order military as a combat engineer specializing in:

Over time he distinguished himself through professionalism, composure under pressure, and technical competence. Unlike many younger stormtroopers raised entirely through indoctrination systems, Putra came from one of the older exile families descended directly from Imperial loyalists. By his early thirties he had become a senior instructor within the Stormtrooper Corps, overseeing engineering and explosives training for new recruits. Though stern and highly disciplined, Putra earned respect among many recruits due to his practical leadership and willingness to place himself in danger alongside those under his supervision.
Training Incident
During a live demolition exercise, a recruit mishandled an armed breaching charge after panicking during training procedures. Recognizing the imminent detonation, Putra immediately pushed the recruit clear of the blast radius moments before the charge exploded. The explosion destroyed the lower portion of Putra’s right leg. The recruit survived. Following extensive surgery and cybernetic replacement, Putra continued serving within the Stormtrooper Corps despite chronic pain and reduced mobility. The incident permanently altered his outlook, leaving him more introspective and emotionally guarded than before.
The Battle at Starkiller Base
In 34 ABY, Putra was aboard a First Order support vessel during the battle surrounding Starkiller Base. Already critically injured during the opening attaks of the battle, Putra was placed into deep bacta suspension and an induced medical coma due to catastrophic shortages in medical personnel and resources. Before treatment could be started, the vessel sustained severe damage from the battle and lost communications, navigation, and most primary systems. Much of the surviving crew either perished or abandoned the vessel. Operating only on limited emergency power and automated medical systems, the crippled ship drifted through deep space for nearly ten years while Putra remained unconscious in bacta suspension.
Awakening in 44 ABY
The derelict vessel was eventually discovered by members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, who boarded the drifting wreck and recovered Putra from the failing medical bay. Upon awakening, Putra initially believed only hours had passed since his evacuation at Starkiller Base. Disoriented and immediately suspicious of his rescuers, he recognized aspects of their demeanor and presence that reminded him of stories surrounding Kylo Ren, the Knights of Ren, and Snoke. Still operating entirely within a military mindset, Putra’s first concern was locating members of his unit and rejoining the fight. As he gradually learned the truth surrounding the destruction of the First Order and the events that followed, Putra suffered severe emotional and psychological shock. The realization that his comrades, commanders, and civilization had vanished while he slept shattered his understanding of reality. Despite overwhelming grief and disbelief, Putra continues to struggle with the instinctive need to report for duty and fulfill obligations to a regime that no longer exists.
Personality
Putra is disciplined, formal, observant, and emotionally restrained. Years of military conditioning have left him highly structured in both speech and behavior. He prefers precision, routine, and order, often speaking in concise military terminology and maintaining strict personal composure even under stress. Though capable of compassion and self-sacrifice, Putra rarely expresses emotion openly and often suppresses grief or vulnerability beneath professionalism and duty. The collapse of the First Order and the revelation of its ultimate fate left him deeply conflicted. While he still values concepts such as order, discipline, and stability, he increasingly struggles with the atrocities committed in the name of the regime he once served.
